Contrary to reports that she surprised Medikal by appearing on stage, Sister Derby clarified that, he personally invited her to the concert.

She explained that, Medikal wanted her to perform their collaboration, “Too Risky,” and as a professional, she accepted the invitation without hesitation.

Sister Derby made it clear that, she flew to London solely to support Medikal.

Addressing concerns about sharing a stage with her ex-lover, Sister Derby said their professional relationship transcends their romantic history.

She stated that, they have previously performed together post-breakup at various events in Ghana, therefore, their joint appearance in London should not be a cause for controversy.

When asked if they have reconciled, she replied “oh, why and how”, indicating that their romantic chapter is still over.

However, she was quick to add that, they are still friends and will forever be sweet exes.

Despite cheating on her with his current estranged wife, Fella Makafui, Sister Derby said she is no sadist to jubilate over their feud.

She added that, she has no hand in their marital issues and that the cause of their rift can only be addressed by the couples themselves.

Patrons of the sold-out concert were surprised to see Sister Derby on the same stage as Medikal.

This sparked conversations online with some believing it’s a move to spite his ex-wife Fella Makafui.

But speaking in an interview on UTV, Medikal indicated that it wasn’t a move to spite his ex-wife.

To give his London fans value for their monies, Medikal brought onto the stage of the 02 lounge Sister Derby to perform a rendition of their popular collaboration ‘Too Risky’.

The shocking part of their performance was when Medikal gave sister Derby the platform to promote her ‘Kakalika Love’, a diss song she recorded for Fella Makafui prior to her wedding with Medikal.

The 02 lounge concert is the first of Medikal’s sold-out events in London.

Isaac’s passing comes after a valiant month-long battle for recovery following an accident in February of this year.

Edem slammed Sister Derby for supporting the lady for leaving her man to dance seductively with Omah Lay on stage .

According to Sister Derby, her boyfriend acted childishly for breaking up with his woman.

“E pain me waaa say the Omah Lay concert girl come out to explain. Kai. Dancing k3k3. Youngins, not married, but taking this thing World Cup. Simple entertainment. Jamaicans will be laughing. Boys will cheat publicly and not ever dare apologize publicly. The girl do yawa by apologising in my opinion,” she said.

But Edem told Derby that, people who dont take relationships serious are not suitable for marriage.

“If you no take relationship World Cup, you can’t take marriage World Cup… One be dress rehearsal one be show…? Unless you no be serious,” Edem wrote.

Pain by this, Sister Derby alleged that, Edem was bounced when he went to the Global Citizen Festival that took place in Ghana.

Sister Derby, who is also known as the African Mermaid, said the lady owed no one an apology since it was just ‘two people dancing’.

In her view, the former President’s is hiding behind religion just to win votes of the masses.

Mr. Mahama while speaking at an open forum with clergymen in Koforidua as part of his ‘Building Ghana Tour’ of the Eastern region on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 explained that, as a member of the Assemblies of God Church, he does not support to the activities of the LGBTQ community.

He was quick to add that, he is against discrimination and attacks of homosexuals in Ghana.

Reacting to this in a post on social media, Sister Derby said Mr. Mahama might be shooting himself in the foot.

She claimed politicians often choose their words carefully because they have acquaintances and business partners who are part of the LGBTQ community thus the former President should have done same.

Sister Derby said the LGBTQ community is not seeking a blessing of their union but rather basic human rights including the right to live peacefully.

“Our politicians always choose their words carefully because they all have acquaintances and business partners who are queer so they would never say they are against LGBTQ people but they would rather say carefully that they are against marriage between persons of the same sex.

In an recent interview with Accra-based Okay FM, she opened up about her approach to relationships and how she has decided to prioritize her personal well-being.

Sister Derby revealed that, she invests her energy and resources in her relationship to make it work but it is not reciprocated and the love was always one-sided.

She has therefore decided to shift focus away from romantic relationships after experiencing messy breakups with her longtime lover, Medikal, and her most recent partner, David.

Currently, Sister Derby has washed her hands off anything relationship to focus on other things.

This is exactly what African mermaid Sister Derby said she experienced at the backstage of a concert organized by Afropop artiste, Quamina MP.

While she was backstage catching a breath after a steaming performance, Sister Derby said she was molested by a male fan.

In a tweet, she recounted that two ladies asked for a selfie, and while at it, she felt the fan fondle her backside.

Sister Derby noted that she immediately used her reflexes to her advantage and landed a slap on the harasser’s cheek before the bouncers bundled him away.

She made the revelation while commenting on an interview of her colleague Cina Soul who narrated a similar experience.

Unlike Sister Derby, Cina said she was taken by surprise and being conscious of the cameras flicking from multiple angles, she could not react.

The buzz exploded when music lovers realised he featured his ex-girlfriend, Sister Derby on it.

Meanwhile, speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Monday, March 20, 2023, the ‘Omo Ada’ hitmaker said he was triggered to feature his ex-lover for a reason.

“We recorded a song, and we recorded a video and dropped it,” he told Andy Dosty subtly.

He then continued, “Of course we were not vibing. But I just reached out to her that I hear her on it. I thought she might be the right person for it, and it happens.”

Detailing how Sister Derby reacted to his voice call, he said, “I think she was surprised I wanted a verse. It was my song and her style fit the song.”

Criss Waddle

When the lockdown was extended Criss Waddle with the help of producer Hammer shared food to about 500 underprivileged people.

When the coronavirus first hit Ghana, rapper Edem was one of the first people who advocated for education on the virus to be done in local languages.

He took the lead by dropping a video about the coronavirus in Ewe his mother tongue. Edem, after a lockdown was imposed, held an ‘Anti Corona Concert’ to entertain fans who had to be in their respective homes all day.

In the third week of the lockdown, Edem fed 50 security personnel who were enforcing the lockdown breakfast. Later that week, he shared some money to fans on Twitter. In collaboration with FoodTech Limited, he also donated some items to the Lekma Hospital.

Sarkodie

Sarkodie may not be in the country now but that did not stop him from feeding some people in Tema while the lockdown was in place.

With the help of his team, the ‘Lucky’ hitmaker donated some foodstuffs to residents of Tema. The Sarkcess team did a door to door delivery while people in other areas also met them on the road for their share of items.

Sarkodie has also been entertaining fans by hosting a battle between DJ’s dubbed BehindTheHitz.

Medikal and Fella Makafui

Celebrity couple Medikal and Fella Makafui extended help to families who were having a hard time feeding themselves amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The couple announced, on their social media handle, that they had bought some sanitary products and food items for people who were cash strapped – hence having difficulty in getting these items for themselves.

They also added money to the wrapped items.

Sister Derby and Wanlov Kubolor

Singer Sister Derby and her brother musician Wanlov Kubolor with the help of some tailors produced some face masks to donate.

They made them from recycled second hand clothes.

Joselyn Dumas

Actress Joselyn Dumas has been engaging her fans in challenges to help entertain them while they are stuck in their homes.

But the actress on some occasions took a break from challenges to donate some money to her followers. These beneficiaries were selected randomly.

Before the video dropped, the well-endowed songstress took to her Instagram page to address some faceless people getting to her in the music sphere.

She posted a beautiful photo with the caption:

Few hours after that, she dropped the song and some parts of her lyrics, according to fans who were deciphering on social media, were obviously aimed at Sister Derby, ex-girlfriend of Medikal.

Not long ago Sister Derby trended on social media after she released her latest Song Sweet Ex to spite Fella Makafui, wife of Derby’s ex-boyfriend rapper Medikal.

Although Fella had a line in the song which jabbed Sister Derby, many said the track lacked enough content.

Few hours after dropping the music video on YouTube, fans had this to say after she started trending at the top:

It all sparked when the ‘Uncle Obama’ musician decided to use an old photo of Medikal kissing her on the cheeks to wish the rapper a happy birthday.

The caption of the photo on her social media page was: Happy Birthday to my sweet ex. She then preceded to have a song with the same Sweet Ex as title, where she jabbed Fella Makafui.

Fella Makafui, who wasn’t happy about the gesture, took to her Instagram to post her wedding ring to spite Sister Derby.

Later, Medikal’s wife dropped a song dubbed Over, where she asked Sister Derby to come for Medikal if he is still hers.

Reacting to this, Derby simply posted the link to the music video of Bisa Kdei’s ‘Over’ song featuring actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as Lil Win.

The fan who operates the twitter handle, Tenagyei, tweeted, saying there was no need to reply Sister Derby, in apparent reference to the latter’s song, Sweet Ex which many have suggested was done to spite Makafui.

Makafui did not, however, take kindly to the suggestion, drawing an equally-measured response from her.

An almost-angry Makafui replied the tweet, saying: You see what happens when you are always in someone’s business?? You will always think anything about them is to you.

Fella Makafui announced her maiden song dubbed Over, just days after Sister Derby dropped a song saying she was no longer interested in her husband.
