In a recent TV discussion, Efia Odo admitted that she didn’t have any personal issues with Sista Afia and that responding to a tweet which caused the feud was a mistake.

Reflecting on the incident, she shared that she was provoked by the tweet comparing her to Sista Afia, hence her outburst.

However, she said shortly after the banter, her spirit strongly opposed her actions.

“I shouldn’t have responded to that person’s tweet. I don’t think it’s gonna happen again. After that incident, my spirit fought. The brouhaha made us dirty ourselves as women, and it is not good,” she continued.

“People who respect us will lose respect for us. I prayed about what I did, and I think the best thing is to apologize and end this brouhaha.”

Efia Odo, who describes herself as ‘born again,’ is now committed to a path of spiritual growth and transformation.

She revealed that, she is relying on the Bible and the Holy Spirit to guide her actions and decisions.

Efia Odo revealed she is setting an example of humility and growth for her followers and fans and hopes no tweep will start further drama with her name.

The user had asked his followers to identify the celebrity in the picture, posting a recent photo of Sista Afia in the USA, possibly without realizing it.

Interestingly, one of the people who replied to the post mentioned “Efia Odo”.

Efia Odo, seeing the post, was displeased with the response and tweeted, “Don’t ever disrespect me like this, I beg you!”

The exchange gained more traction when Sista Afia replied, “Industry Machine STFUP!!!!!!!!!!”

A few months ago, Sista Afia publicly announced she was hurt when Fancy Gadam could not make it to her show at Tamale even after an initial negotiation of GH¢50,000.

Speaking with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Thursday, she revealed that the issue between them has amicably been solved.

“We are cool, we have squashed everything. We spoke on the phone and we agreed with ourselves. We have let go as humans because it had already happened”, she said on Hitz FM.

She further reiterated there was no promise of any collaboration between them.

“I can’t promise I will be going up there again but let’s observe as the days progress. I am still in the industry, it might not be my show that might lead me there but let’s just observe and await God’s timing”, she stated.

In a heartfelt rant, Sista Afia questioned whether she had offended someone on the high table of the Ghana Music Awards, particularly given the success of her song “Asuoden” in 2021.

Despite its popularity, she received zero nominations, leaving her disheartened and questioning the award board.

Sista Afia lamented the perceived injustice in the nomination process, suggesting that some artists receive nominations without even filing for them.

This discrepancy, she argued, undermines her efforts and diminishes the recognition she rightfully deserves for her hard work in the music industry.

Despite back-to-back hit songs she has recorded since she joined the music industry almost a decade back, Sista Afia has just a few awards to her credit.

In as much as she wants to thread carefully to avoid stepping on toes, she explained she can no longer hold her peace as the situation is beginning to weigh her down.

She wrote, “Have I offended someone at the high table Ghana Music Awards ?? The fact that Asuoden was a big song in 2021 Zero nominations which I still don’t get. I learnt people don’t even file for nominations but get nominations, the downplay on my efforts ever since i started doing music in Ghana hasn’t been fair to my craft And Yes it hurts because I work soo hard. I’ve been quiet for soo long because i have respect for the scheme and I don’t want to step on no one’s toes!”.

Meanwhile, her fans have taken over her comment section to send her reassuring messages of her value and unbeatable contribution to the industry.

The show held on May 14, 2022 at the Tamale Sports Stadium had low turnout after Fancy Gadam failed withdrew from the bill.

According to Bossu Kule who claims was privy to the negotiations, Fancy’s account is riddled with untruth.

Fancy Gadam told Majority Radio in Tamale that the agreement with Sista Afia was reached only one week prior to the event.

“Sista Afia didn’t approach us. Someone called and said he wanted to do a show with me and her. We charged GH¢100,000. Then she called herself, wanting me to help her, so I took GH¢50,000 per artiste-to-artiste agreement, meaning half of the initial fee” he said.

Fancy Gadam further noted that the timing of the event was also not favourable. He said because the date was closer to Ramadan, they needed to postpone it so they would have ample time for promotion.

“We needed time to promote the show. Timing was the main issue and it was Ramadan. We are all Muslims and fasting so they will not want to attend,” Fancy Gadam explained.

Owing to this, the ‘Total Cheat’ hitmaker said he did not attend the event even though he had been paid a week earlier.

“I didn’t want to dent my reputation. The timing was the main thing,” Fancy said.

In a Facebook post [which has since been deleted], the former manager of Sista Afia shot down Fancy’s argument about timing indicating that Afia had to postpone her show three months ahead because of Fancy Gadam’s excuses.

Describing Fancy’s comments as lies he also chided the musician for inconsistencies in his account of the amount charged.

Sista Afia’s disappointment

Sista Afia has expressed her disappointment in Fancy Gadam in interviews, especially ignoring all her calls.

According to her, Fancy Gadam is yet to explained to her personally what really happened, let alone render an apology to her or her team for the no-show.’

She described the incident as an embarrassing situation which could have been easily managed.

In an interview, Sista Afia shared how she planned her concert and made attempts to collaborate with Fancy Gadam and Macasio, two prominent figures in the Tamale music scene known for their ‘beef’.

Despite the existing tension, Sista Afia reached out to both artists to ensure a successful collaboration. But, Macasio pulled out since he had a similar show he had been billed for.

Sista Afia said her management reached out to Fancy and his team to have him on board, which he charged an outrageous amount of GH¢100,000.

Upon further negotiations, she said the price was beat down to half and Fancy agreed to show up.

On the event day, Fancy Gadam failed to show up and all calls made to him and his management have since been ignored, which affected the success of the show.

“Fancy and Macasio are the fans favorite in Tamale and without any of them at your show, nobody is gonna leave their house. The attendance was poor and I felt I was sabotaged. He was very close to me, I know him personally so I was obviously affected by what he did. The amount he charged me his fellow artiste is outrageous, but my team were ready to pay immediately, but he just decided not to come”.

According to her, Fancy has yet to extend an apology to her or her team and render an explanation for the no-show.

She lamented the incident, labelling it as embarrassing situation which could have been avoided.

For a country screaming peace in the creative arts industry, Sista Afia opined such attitude should not be tolerated.

She shared three sizzling hot photos which captured her looking exquisite in an ethereal gown that put her cleavage in full glare.

The shimmery details of the gown added more sophistication and her updo hairstyle radiated her natural beauty.

Her fans and well-wishers showered her with compliments and prayers for better years ahead.

Social media was inundated with rumours that LilWin has had his moments with multiple female celebrities, of which Sister Afia’s name popped up.

She was accused of warming the bed of LilWin several times, as well as other male and female A-listed personalities.

In addressing the reports head-on, Sista Afia made a statement categorically refuting the accusation, emphasizing the falsehood of the claims and urging the public to disregard them.

She expressed her disappointment in the source of the rumours and highlighted the negative impact they can have on her reputation.

In a candid revelation on Adom TV‘s Okukuseku show with Emelia Brobbey, Sista Afia said she desired to embrace youthful exuberance and explore love to its fullest, which led her to naively enter a relationship with the wrong person.

The first red flag was her partner bearing a child with another woman, but being blinded by love, Sista Afia said she accepted her fate and continued the relationship.

What she thought was unconditional love came crushing down when she realized her lover had wedded another woman while they were still dating.

Despite shielding some details of the ordeal, she admitted to have been affected because she least expected her lover of many years to be that heartless.

“At a point, I let go and I became happy because sometimes when a partner harbors certain negative feelings, God reveals it to you early. So I felt relieved, like blessed. It became a learning point for me for any future relationship. I tell any potential partner what I’ve gone through so they don’t repeat such actions,” she said.

She expressed belief her lover did not see her worth because her future was quite uncertain at that time, adding that “where I am now, I doubt he ever saw me getting here.”

According to the singer, life doesn’t necessarily revolve around marriage.

The Jeje hitmaker said in an interview with Doreen Avio on Daybreak Hitz, “I don’t see life to be all about marriage and having kids. Life is a beautiful thing —and it has a lot of angles.”

“If I don’t get married, it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t do better in life. Marriage doesn’t define me,” she said on Hitz FM.

The singer also disclosed that when she was young, she had the dream of getting married and having children at an early age.

“I was a young girl and I remember telling myself that I would get married at the age of 21; I’d have twins at the age of 24, and another set of twins later.”

It appears the Weather singer has given up on that dream. She said the dream was borne out of naivety.

“I was very young, and I was very naïve, and I didn’t know much about marriage and life, but now I do I’m not in a rush.

“It’s my dream to have a kid, but if I don’t even get married, it’s fine but for a kid it’s something I would want to have.”

She concluded, “Married people these days… it is crazy. Considering this generation… Because we have social media, people do not see the importance of so many things any more.”

She has accused some persons of intentionally thwarting her effort to hold a successful show in the Northern hemisphere. 

The Queen Solomon concert in Tamale featured Medikal, Kwame Yogot, Mr Drew, Sefa, Lasmid, Ataaka, Wiz Child, Fadlan, LilWin, and other top musicians.

“The whole show was sabotaged because I didn’t have Fancy or one other artiste on the bill. So they kept removing the plugs. When I stepped on stage, after two seconds, they took the plug, and all the lights went off. They kept doing it even before I went on stage.”

Reportage from the concert showed a low turnout with faculty technical support. 

Sista Afia told 3Music that she decided to tackle the Northern sector after conquering Accra, Kumasi and Cape Coast. She added that they went through all the processes needed to hold a successful concert but did not meet the expected returns. 

Speaking about involving the music giants of the North, Sista Afia mentioned that she contacted Macassio and Fancy Gadam, but they did not show up for her.

“We did everything possible. I mean, we did the prom, and we met the Chiefs. We did everything you are supposed to do when it comes to Tamale.

“We contacted Fancy. I contacted both of them. Then he (Fancy) gave me an amount that I have to pay, and we bargained. And the minute I was about to pay, he wasn’t answering my text.”

The ‘Mansa’ hit maker also revealed that he was not the only musician involved in an accident but he was with female singer Sista Afia.

According to Bisa Kdei, he strongly believes that had it not been for prayers he and his team offered to God that moment, they would have been dead long ago. 

Sharing his ordeal on Accra-based Hitz FM with Dr Pounds monitored by MyNewsGh.com, Bisa Kdei recounted “we were coming back from Aburi and something was telling me that we should pray repeatedly with my boys. So I told them that I feel like something is telling us to pray so we parked on the roadside. By then I had signed Sista Afia few days earlier. Sista Afia was even part of the team.

“So we parked and we all held our hands and prayed, 15 minutes later we crashed with two cars. It was bad, and at that time, I thought I had lost my voice. All of us had our necks locked but I stood up like a robot and went to check on my boys; everybody was okay but the cars were all damaged. It was crazy, Bisa Kdei revealed.

“I might work on my body in the future, especially my breast because it’s too big. I have plans of reducing it after I have given birth. I don’t know the changes that will happen to my body after childbirth but I might reduce it.”

The reason, she said, is that her huge cleavage does not complement her body.

According to her, she has always been a lover of kids, hence, she wouldn’t mind having six in her family, when she ties the knot.

Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Sista Afia said she is a proud aunty – disclosing further that her big sister has two children.

Sista Afia explained that it is the dream of every woman to have children, apart from “some 15 per cent” who are not interested.

According to her, she cannot tell if she has been blacklisted by the organisers because she does trendy songs.

Talking further, Sista Afia revealed she sometimes cry about it because it is one thing that really bothers her mind.

I don’t know if I am blacklisted or anything. I feel like I am putting in so much work. Sometimes I sit on my bed and cry out.

According to the Weather hitmaker, some industry players dont believe in her hard work since they think she has it all on a silver platter.

She disclosed that, since she is an independent artiste, there are times she has to rely on her mother to shoot some of her music videos.

People think because I have been abroad I am different. I don’t have any record label and all. Thank God that I have a good family. My mother really supports me. Sometimes I don’t have money to shoot music video. My mum paid for Jeje, Party and Asuoden music videos. I refund them when she needs money to do something in Ghana, sha said.

According to her, Ayesem’s statement is valid, but she added that they wrote most of the songs together.

Ayesem came out to say “he did, which I wouldn’t deny, like he helped with most of the songs. I really don’t want to talk about this because he is someone I consider family,” she confirmed on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM.

Earlier in an interview, Ayesem said he has not confronted the Weather hitmaker about the matter due to their long-standing relationship.

“I decided not to talk about this whole thing because I felt she was a sister. I like Sista Afia because of her voice. She is powerful when it comes to singing. I liked her from day one, so I just wanted to support her,” he averred.

Reacting to Ayesem’s revelation, Sista Afia described it as childish, explaining that she doesn’t see its relevance.

She explained that ghostwriting has been part of the music industry, hence if Ayesem wants some clout to push his brand, he should rather inform her first.

He has done this before… and when I met him, he said he wanted to release a new song. At least he could have called me and not to let me look bad. We have done so many songs. Corner Corner, singlet and Weather… There are some songs that I have not even released yet. A year ago was when I started knowing about this publishing stuff.

I appreciate people. It’s sad because you won’t see Kdei sitting somewhere saying all that because he is matured. You won’t see Singlet doing that. You don’t have to do that.

There are girls in the industry I have written songs for. Sometimes I am not supposed to say that they did this, but I use my money. Even if you have written for me, I give you something.

It is unclear what sparked the latest feud, but the ladies have thrown direct jabs at each other on Twitter, with Sista Afia threatening to go physical.

Per the tweets, it is safe to say that Sista Afia is displeased with her contender always body-shaming her at the least provocation.

According to the singer, she had plans of “disciplining” Efia Odo but her team talked her out of her unprofessional decision.

However, as Efia Odo does not want to pull her brakes, Sista Afia is back to that agenda and has threatened to throw a punch when they meet face-to-face.

In a rebuttal, the socialist defended she only spoke about Sista Afia’s face and not her body.

In her words, it’s not her fault Sista Afia looks like that.

The duo had been on each others throat some months ago after Efia Odo tagged the singer as irrelevant.

It is believed Efia Odo’s constant shaming is the reason the musician allegedly went under the knife.

He alleged that, he wrote five songs for the Jeje hitmaker, including her diss track to rapper Freda Rhymz, You Got Nerves, but he never got the credit.

Aside from You Got Nerves, Ayesem said he wrote Slay Queen, Corner Corner featuring Kelvyn Boy, Asuoden featuring Kuami Eugene and Paper featuring Victor AD for Sista Afia.

Though all these songs were hits, Ayesem in an interview with KMJ on Joy Prime claimed Sista Afia “never picked up a phone to call me to say thank you”.

The Koti hitmaker said he has not confronted the Weather hitmaker about the matter due to their long standing relationship.

“I decided not to talk about this whole thing because I felt she was a sister. I like Sista Afia because of her voice. She is powerful when it comes to singing. I liked her from day one so I just wanted to support her” he averred.

In an effort to explain herself, she recounted helping one female musician to win an award in Ghana yet she was ungrateful to her.

Its unclear who Sista Afia was talking about but she was certain about the lack of support for female musicians in the country, adding that, their effort are often overlooked when it comes to awards schemes.

According to Sista Afia, her friend who became her “enemy” thought she had attained the A-list status but her songs cannot garner any attention like when she used to support her.

She wrote:

In a country where award schemes are organized and doesn’t “favor” female musicians, you wonder why some female talents give up in this country called Ghana.

90% of the female musicians I came to meet when coming up in 2015 have all given up, the young ones too after me have started giving up already. Don’t blame them, the politics in this industry, purely witchcraft.

Only few are still relevant, I can count five or maybe 6 ladies.

One female rapper I helped win her biggest award in her entire music career did media tour and downplayed my effort, the whole industry came supporting her and she forgot what I started, helped put her there.

Thing is, I wanted to warn her that all those praising her today won’t do that when the hype dies, but since she felt she was there, she enjoyed the hype and acted ungrateful, today I can confidently say she and her music all turn beans, where’s that industry support today?

I know sometimes it’s difficult setting up award events, dealing with artists managements and the stress in seeking for sponsorships, after all that stress, you want to make money too cos you don’t want your hustle to be in vain, that’s fine and understandable.

However, the thievery shouldn’t be too obvious. Yes it happens everywhere but sometimes sit down, assess issues and be brave to award who truly deserves it ?? one love ❤️

Ghana music has a future. And I must congratulate my dawgment husband Sadiq Abdulai Abu and his able team for what they did at the just ended 3Music Awards’22, this will def go down in our history books forever ??

According to her, most of these organisers focus solely on male musicians overlooking the efforts of female musicians who are on top of their game in the required calendar.

Few days after the 3Music Awards 2022 took off with many celebrating the organisers for their creativity, Sista Afia says it wasn’t fair that singers Gyakie and Sefa were excluded from winning some awards.

The photo, which is over two decades old, is of the artiste during her baby stages.

A little Afia, who was dressed with a white gown, has always been a lover of the cameras as she was captured posing and all smiles.

Now a 28-year-old woman, Sister Afia, still looks the same like she was when she was barely two years old, when the photo was taken.

She posted a video which documented her transitional phase of growth and development between childhood and adulthood.

She attributed her current curvaceous nature to God for seeing her through all these years.

Their online banter, which started as a joke, has now gained momentum and the two are seriously at each other’s neck.

After rekindling their beef barely a week ago over a disagreement over iPhone possession, songstress Sister Afia has warned Odo to keep her name out of her mouth.

In a latest interview, Efia Odo claimed their ‘beef’ was a planned one, but Sista Afia, who spoke via phone on the same platform, denied she never approached the former for such ‘childish’ games.

Sista Afia further went on to say they are not friends, and they all represent different sectors of the entertainment industry, and as such it would be illogical for Odo to be the one she would approach.

As the banter got heated, the songstress threatened to beat the Ghanaian-American actress when next they meet face-to-face.

She expressed regrets for not beating Efia Odo up when they last met, adding that advice from her management team and ‘visibly shaken’ Odo’s demeanor made her change her mind last minute.

Sister Afia has, however, given Odo the luxury to pick a date and time for her to be seriously whipped.

The reason being that she wants to end the battle fair and square and not leave room for Efia Odo to defend that she was ambushed.

The duo had earlier been in a squabble online over some body-shaming comments Efia Odo made against Sista Afia.

Their beef, however, died down after Efia graced her rival’s birthday party back on November 9, 2020.

In a latest development, their rivalry has been rekindled over some gestures Sista Afia made in reaction to Efia Odo’s post.

Recall the actress took to her social media platform to call out Ghanaians, especially celebrities who are flaunting their newly-released iPhone. To Efia, the action is simply embarrassing.

Sista Afia, expressing her opinion, replied with ‘mtchww’ – a popular sigh of disapproval – and that has attracted Efia’s fury.

In a counter-rebuttal, Efia tagged the songstress a hippopotamus who needs clout to electrify her dying career.

She went as far as making an animation of a hippo dancing to Sista Afia’s music.

Sista Afia, who wanted to have the last laugh, also posted a video of a skeleton finding it hard to stay balanced and she described that as how Efia Odo looks like.

The photo is of the award-winning artiste’s prime days when she was still a teenager.

Sister Afia was photographed while lying in green grass, a popular pose back in the early 2000s.

It is safe to say that Sista Afia has always been a cutie, judging from her no-makeup and wig baby photo.

Though her curves were hidden in the photo, her then no-so-busty cleavage was visible.

The singer said she was in the mood to share free water for all after she took to her Instagram to showcase how good she is at doing the hawking business.

Instead of collecting monies from thirsty passengers and drivers who drove past her, she took no dime for her kind gesture.

Yesterday, Efia Odo dropped jaws when she flew all the way from New York to attend the 28th birthday party of the musician.

To netizens, that singular act has quashed the beef between the two entertainers, but that was not the case.

Efia Odo, after the gesture, renewed the fight.

In series of tweets, she maintained her stance that Sista Afia is classless and needs a new stylist.

A livid Bossu Kule’s rant comes on the back of pundits’ attempts to compare Sista Afia to other artistes he considers ‘by-force’ artistes.

The discussion came to an end with the analysts espousing diverse opinions about the relevance of the You Got Nerves hitmaker.

The situation has infuriated the manager who has sent a strong warning to the pundits and media not to cause a rift between female musicians by creating unnecessary agenda.

“From now on, no media platform should add Sista Afia when making these stupid comparisons”, he said, before claiming the ‘by-force rivals’ have confessed to being intimidated by Afia’s talent.

The likes of Fantana, Wendy Shay, eShun were mentioned in the interview, and according to Bossu Kule, it is disrespectful for these artistes, whom he claimed have not even sold out a venue, to be compared to his artiste.

He said the only female acts Sista Afia can be compared to are some A-rated artiste she has taken inspiration from before joining the industry; the likes of Efya, Becca and Adina.

On why he feels Sista Afia is big enough, he said, she has managed to bag some collaborations with the top men in the industry and deserves respect for that.

The Are You Ready composer hinted at a possible collaboration with Stonebwoy on the release of her first Dancehall song.

The two were captured in Stonebwoy’s BHIM studios as they stir up the banger yet to be ready.

Sista Afia, in a bid to prove her versatility, is venturing into different categories outside her usual highlife genre.

Her fans flooded the comment section of the Instagram post which announced the feature, to reveal their anticipation.

Also, she has featured Sarkodie on a rap song titled Broken Heart. She also recruited Shatta Wale on two Afrobeat songs, Something and Jeje.
