The man at the center of the drama, identified as King Joshua, reportedly lured the woman into the shop by claiming he was the manager of the coffin shop.

Using the premises as an impromptu love nest, Joshua engaged in the transaction but failed to pay her the agreed amount.

In a bold move, the woman walked out with one of the shop’s coffins, causing a stir as onlookers gathered to witness the unusual spectacle.

Security guards on duty recorded the incident, which quickly went viral after being shared online.

Ozei, the shop owner, was stunned when informed by police about the commotion.

Speaking to H-Metro, he revealed, “I was called by the police around 11 PM, asking who was at my hardware shop. I had no idea it was being used for such activities.”

He further accused Joshua of habitually bringing women into the store under false pretenses.

“This man has been using my shop for these shady acts. I now suspect the coffin I lost last year may have vanished in a similar manner,” Ozei lamented.

The incident has sparked widespread conversation online, with many expressing disbelief at the lengths the woman went to recover her unpaid dues.

The police are investigating the matter.

Referee Rosario Guadalupe Cardenas had been appointed to serve as the fourth official in a match between Monterrey and Tigres in the Apertura Tournament on October 19.

Mexico’s refereeing commission announced on the day of the match that Cardenas had been replaced due to a ‘medical reason’.

Cardenas was replaced in the role by Ismael Lopez, with Ximena Marquez Ruíz installed as the VAR official.

The organisation launched an internal investigation two days later, stating it would ‘clarify all the details related to this incident’.

Former Mexican referee Francisco Chacon later stated that Cardenas, 27, had failed to attend the match due to injuries sustained after being attacked by a sex worker he had hired.

‘It turns out that Mr. Rosario Cardenas decided to hire a companion one day before the game,’ said Chacon, who officiated international matches between 2009 and 2017.

‘He took her to his hotel where he was staying, and there he was drugged and assaulted, which is why he did not make it to his game.

‘That was the “medical reason”‘.

The Mexican refereeing commission confirmed Cardenas’ sacking on December 4 following the internal investigation.

The organisation did not provide further details around the circumstances, but deemed his conduct worthy of dismissal.

‘The Referees Commission reports that it completed a detailed internal investigation, which began on October 21, in order to clarify the details related to the incident in which referee Rosario Guadalupe Cárdenas was involved, on October 19, prior to the day 12 of the 2024 Apertura Tournament,’ a statement read.

‘In order to guarantee transparency and compliance with the corresponding protocols, this Commission informs that as a conclusion to the investigation it has decided to terminate the contract of the cited arbitrator for non-compliance with the Arbitration Rules.’

Mexican newspaper Record reported the official had been found to have violated the ‘ethical and professional values’ of Mexican Football Federation, with a source stating an investigation remains ongoing into the reports Cardenas had been assaulted by a sex worker.

‘We were informed that this matter went through the FMF’s legal department, which violated the internal regulations and the ethical and professional values ​​of the FMF,’ a source told the newspaper.

‘I know that there is a legal issue going on, which is being processed, to determine whether or not that was the case with the referee.

‘But beyond that, Rosario was informed internally that for the organisation and the FMF itself the referee did not fulfill his responsibility due to indiscipline and that determined that they thank him.’

Cardenas had been yet to officiate in the Mexican top flight, but the official had worked his way through the refereeing ranks in recent years.

He had officiated at Under-20 and Under-23 level before refereeing matches in the second tier of Mexican football.

These sex workers claim the police in the port city are driving them out of business.

The disgruntled sex workers alleged that, the police and some Navy officers were regular customers.

But all of a sudden, they are claiming their trade is illegal and have now resorted to harassment and extortion.

The sex workers argue that, the action of the police is increasingly impeding their work in the area. 

The sex workers poured out their frustrations in an interview on Accra FM.

According to them, prostitution has been a part of society since time immemorial thus could not fathom why the police is now trying to curtail their livelihood.

They contend that, their income from this profession is crucial to support their families, particularly their children. 

One of the ladies called Tema Newtown sex queen revealed that, majority of them who have taken loans are now struggling to pay due to the action of the police.

She bemoaned why the police were bent on getting them out of business.

The incident, according to report, occurred on Friday night.

Information gathered by Adom News‘ Kofi Adjei indicates that, the deceased hired a taxi from Kasoa to Awutu Bereku to visit her client.

Upon reaching Triple X, Anabel started fighting the taxi driver amid accusations that he had slept with her but had refused to pay a service fee of GH¢80.

An eyewitness, Ama Serwaa, said she managed to separate her and the taxi driver, but that did not restore any calm.

The sex worker who was determined to take the money went to sit in the middle of the highway to prevent the taxi driver from moving.

Unfortunately, a speeding tipper truck driver from Awutu Bereku ran over her, killing her on the spot.

The body was deposited at St. Gregory Hospital, while the tipper truck driver was arrested and sent to the Buduburam District Police Command to assist with investigations.

The lady dragged the man out of the hotel room and held unto his manhood while crying for her money. 

The video, which has surfaced on social media, captured the duo believed to be Nigerians in an altercation amidst claims by the young lady that he assaulted her.

Their loud noise in the corridor drew the attention of several people who rushed out to see what was happening while others tried to intervene.

She held on tight to the penis of the client who was naked as the only covering he had on, his boxer was also almost on the floor.

The pleas by the bystanders for the sex worker to have mercy fell on deaf eyes and the man also continued to struggle to break free.

Information gathered by Adom News‘ Kofi Adjei indicates that the suspect was charged  GHC600.00 by the sex worker after an initial price of GHS1,200.

This was on the back of the suspect, who is a taxi driver’s demand to sleep with her without a condom the whole night.

The suspect agreed and went ahead and slept with her until the next day.

In an interview, the sex worker said, after a night of multiple sex rounds coupled with other intimate activities, the taxi driver refused to settle his bills.

Infuriated by the taxi driver’s actions, she dragged him to the police station where he was asked about the charge against him and he confirmed it.

The Mankessim Police say they have started investigating the matter.

The thigh vendor whose identity has been protected, has been admitted to the hospital after suffering the mishap near Joel Shopping Centre.

According to the state-owned daily The Chronicle, the lady of the night negotiated with a client for a quickie.

“It is true there was a woman who was bitten by a snake while having sex with a man in the bush. I heard the reports, and I am told she is now recovering at the hospital,” said Chief Gwesela.

The Chief also lamented how many women and young girls in the area have been forced to resort to sex work and other vices to escape the biting hunger affecting the area.

“What is worrying is these girls will be working for as little as a dollar or even a plate of sadza. It is happening as people are facing hunger. So, they will be trying to make quick money thereby risking their lives.

“The situation is bad in Zhombe and it has pushed many girls into prostitution and early marriages. The situation is forcing girls to turn to immorality. As you are aware this is a gold-rich area and the illegal gold panners are now taking advantage to lure the young girls with money.”

Miriam Braim pleaded not guilty to attempted human trafficking and human trafficking. She will make her next appearance in court on November 29, 2022. 

Her accomplice whose name was only given as Mary is on the run. 

Police Chief Inspector Isaac Anquandah told the Court presided over Madam Kizita Naa Koowa Quarshie that the complainant was a casual labourer whilst Miriam, the accused person, was a commercial sex worker. 

He said both complainant and the accused were Nigerians living in Ghana and that in December 2021, the accused person and Mary, currently in Nigeria and a friend of the accused person, visited Ghana to engage in prostitution. 

The prosecution said after their three months stay together in Kasoa, Ghana, a misunderstanding ensued between them and they went their separate ways, where Mary went back to Nigeria whilst Miriam remained in Ghana and moved to stay at Mempeasem at East Legon. 

It said Mary in Nigeria allegedly recruited and transported Mutia Osman, the victim to Ghana, saying, she was welcomed by the accused person on Saturday, October 1, 2022, who took her home.  

The accused person, the court heard, attempted to exploit the victim in prostitution but the victim pleaded that she was only 18 years and a virgin but the accused allegedly turned down the plea.  

The prosecution said the accused person allegedly went out with the victim for two days and engaged her in commercial sex.  

It said on the second day of their outing, the victim sensed danger and jumped into a private car, which sent her to the East Legon Police Station where she lodged a complaint to the police.

The prosecution said on October 7 22, the police accompanied the victim to the residence of the accused and had her arrested.  

The case was later referred to the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit at the Headquarters where after investigations, the accused was arraigned. 

In an interview on Ghetto Life Story, Charity revealed that a client picked her up to sleep over at his house, but she woke up at the cemetery on the client’s grave.

Charity explained that the client ushered her into his room and left the room, but she slept off before he returned.

The next day, Charity felt a tap on her shoulder and woke up to find her client’s photo plastered on the grave she lay on.

“He took me to Awudome in his car. It was a room painted white with a blue light and furnished. He gave me the money and told me he was coming.

“A guard at the graveyard woke me up in the morning, and I saw his picture on the grave I was sleeping on.

“It happened three years ago. Thankfully, we didn’t have sex, but I still fell ill for days. I almost died. So I decided to quit prostitution after that incident,” Charity recounted.

According to the former sex worker, she has lost some of her friends in the same line of business.

Charity stated that she decided to advise herself after the incidents.

The mother of three told DJ Nyaami that she currently sells footwear to survive. Charity shared a story of how she became a prostitute soon after her mother’s demise.

A sex worker who has given her name as Rochelle Grace has revealed the trade is a calling from God.

As someone who has been in the trade for over 10 years, Grace said she cannot tell exactly how she got into it.

However, after spending a decade in the profession, Grace has not acquired any property.

“Men have used me for ten years and I have nothing to show to the world. Nothing, the only thing I have is I’ve rented an apartment. If my rent is due and I don’t have money to renew, I will be kicked out” she said in an interview on TV3.

Her dream was to become a lawyer or a Police woman but were dashed due to “peer pressure”.

Grace said she now seeks solace in Psalm 91 with the hope that God can save and restore her.

“The street has taken my pride, my virginity and everything I have. I have nothing left” she bemoaned.

United States District Judge Brian M. Cogan handed down the sentence Tuesday for 43-year-old Angelina Barini, who pleaded guilty in August to two counts of distributing narcotics that caused the death of a person, one count of distributing fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine and one count of conspiring to distribute gamma-butyrolactone (GBL), according to a statement from the United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of New York.

Authorities say between July and August of 2019, Barini gave her victims narcotics to “incapacitate” them and then robbed them of their belongings, ultimately killing four men.

“The defendant drugged and killed multiple people for a few quick dollars. She stole their personal belongings while they lay unconscious dying from the lethal drugs she gave them,” United States Attorney Breon Peace said. “The defendant’s substantial prison sentence is warranted by her shocking disregard for human life.”

Prosecutors said Barini often met with her victims at local hotels and then gave them “fentanyl-laced drugs,” causing them to overdose.

On August 18, 2019, she met with a man identified by The New York Post and other local media outlets as Cipriani Dolci chef Andrea Zamperoni-at an Elmhurst, Queens motel room and drugged him with the “date rape” drug GBL.

Zamperoni died shortly after entering the motel room. Prosecutors said Barini made “repeated attempts” to dispose of the body, however, on Aug. 21, 2019, NYPD officers found his remains wrapped in bleach-stained sheets stuffed into a garbage bin inside the motel room.

Officers also discovered a power saw, empty suitcase, glass pipes for smoking narcotics and “purple liquid in a glass with a powder at the top of the liquid and around the rim,” according to court documents obtained by WNYW.

Barini had claimed at the time she didn’t kill Zamperoni and that her pimp wouldn’t let her call police.

She pleaded guilty to providing the narcotics and causing the deaths of multiple men in August, according to authorities.

On Tuesday, Cogan acknowledged that Barini had come from a troubled family and had a drug habit that “robbed her” of some of her free will, but said her past did not excuse her actions.

“There is no level of disadvantage of being raised that can mitigate what you did here. … Drug addiction or no drug addiction, something has to kick in,” he said in court, according to The New York Post.

Before the sentence was handed down, a cousin of one of the victims said she did not feel sympathy for Barini, despite her past.

“I understand she doesn’t have a good history,” the cousin said. “I don’t have a good history. It’s no excuse. She killed four people. … She deserves what she gets now.”

She spoke of her slain’s cousin future in construction and his plans to go to school, which were all taken away the day he died.

“I don’t forgive you,” the woman said. “We were best friends. She took that away. She took that away. I don’t feel sorry for you.”

The famous actress went on to reveal that she was once a victim of sexual abuse, further shocking the Mzansi nation with how she managed to survive such traumatizing incidents without reporting or seeking help from the authorities.

The minor took advantage of his mother’s absence to hire the services of the thigh vendor at a local nightspot.

However, after the two were done, the 14-year-old failed to pay, causing the hooker to allegedly attack him for breaching their agreement.

During the attack, the minor suffered a serious blow to the head which resulted in his death.

Daily publication H-Metro quotes a witness as saying,

“This young man went to a nightclub where he met a lady whom he took home.”

“He took the lady to his house because his mother was not around; the young man couldn’t pay for the lady’s services, which then angered the lady.

“When he then failed to pay, the lady hit the young man on the head, and he died and upon realising that, the lady covered him with a blanket.”

The police also confirmed the disturbing crime. In a statement, national police spokesperson, Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi, said

“We are investigating a case involving a 14-year-old juvenile who was found dead after allegedly engaging with a lady of the night while his mother was not around,” Ass Comm Nyathi said.

“We are yet to get the circumstances as to what actually happened.”

Punch Nigeria reported that the incident happened on Monday at 50/50 hotel Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of the State.

The deceased, a resident of 22, Akilo Street, Bariga, Lagos State, had visited the brothel to ‘relax’ with one of the prostitutes who was simply identified as Joy.

A hotelier in the area, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the incident, saying: “In the course of the sexual intercourse, the man slumped and died immediately.”

According to the source, the police from Ogijo Division visited the scene to evacuate the lifeless body of Adeniyi, where they also recovered his ATM card and driver’s license.

“As police try to locate the family of the man, his body was deposited at the morgue of Sagamu General Hospital, Ogun State.

“The sexual worker has also been arrested by the police to unravel the cause of the man’s death,” the source narrated.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, could not be reached as of the time of filing this report.

According to him, he met the lady at an odd hour of the night in a dark place and decided to help due to how dangerous the place was.

He explained that the incident occurred around the American Embassy.

“The lady was standing by the roadside all alone and as a Good Samaritan, I stopped to offer help because I thought the place was not safe enough,” he narrated on his Real news show.

To his surprise, after asking of the lady’s destination, she replied: “I’m going to your house,” an answer he could not fathom since the lady was a total stranger.

He added that all attempts to talk her out of her decision proved futile.

“I told her my wife is at home so I can’t take her there yet she wouldn’t understand and said I can equally get a hotel or even in the car and that was what got me to think she is a sex worker.

“She made me aware she wouldn’t step out of the car but to save myself from embarrassment, I pulled GHS 50 out of my pocket for her before she calmed down and stepped out,” he said.

According to the police report, the lady is believed to be a prostitute who was picked up by Nii Aku at about 11 pm last Wednesday evening to his apartment in Karikari Brobbey a suburb Dansoman.

Police say the patrol team received a distress call to the effect that someone had murdered another in an apartment at Karikari Brobbey a suburb of Accra at about 2 am Thursday morning.

“Police surrounded the house and after 30-minutes the suspect jumped from the top floor unto the ground in a bid to escape but he was arrested.

“Police forced the door opened and found a female dead body aged about 40-years. She was lying naked in a supine position in a pool of blood, at the back balcony of the top floor with bloodstains all over the top floor, and multiple wounds and cuts on the face, eyes and the ears”

“He dug a hole in an attempt to bury the decease but he couldn’t dig deep because of the concrete floor and that gave him out,” a police source told The Ghana Report.

Nii Aku, according to the police investigations, has denied killing the deceased.

The deceased is yet to be identified but the body has been deposited at the Police Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

Nii Aku is in police custody assisting investigations.

The 22-year-old man, identified as Akugure Limann, was alleged to have engaged the services of a prostitute but refused to pay, leading to the women and their pimps beating him to death.

Eyewitnesses told the Daily Graphic on Friday that enraged young men in the area reacted in full force, breaking down the structures and setting them ablaze.

Fracas

It was alleged that Akugure, who had engaged the services of a prostitute, failed to pay her, and in an attempt to get the money, the said prostitute called for help from her pimps who engaged the him in a fight.

The alleged pimps, identified as Emeka Chuku, 47, a Nigerian, and Adomako Nyamekye, 28, a Ghanaian, were alleged to have stabbed Akugure with a pair of scissors on the left side of his chest.

It took the combined effort of the police and military to restore calm to the area as the youth were bent on burning the alleged prostitutes alive to avenge the death of their friend.

Confirmation

Confirming the incident to journalists, the Ashanti Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Mr Godwin Ahianyo, said the police had information that a body had been found at Sokoban Wood Village.

He said the Crime Scene Unit went to the scene and conveyed the body to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital but few minutes later, they were informed that the youth of the area had set some of the wooden structures alleged to be housing the sex workers on fire.

He said personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service had to be called in to put out the fire.

Arrests

According to the PRO, preliminary investigations led to the arrest of Chuku and Nyamekye, the alleged pimps who were alleged to have stabbed Akugure.

He said the police also arrested one Augustine Adu, who was also alleged to have mobilised the youth to set the structures ablaze.

He said investigations were ongoing to arrest the alleged sex worker at the centre of the incident.

A 28-year-old Nigerian woman, believed to be a commercial sex worker has been allegedly stabbed to death by her client in Takoradi.

Vera Edafeh Oboko was stabbed several times and her body dumped in a washroom at the Ridge Way Hotel.

DSP Olivia Adiku who speaks for the Western regional police command told Adom News an attendant of the hotel first reported the incident to the Takoradi police after workers saw blood spillage from the room of the clients.

“We moved to the hotel and saw the blood but couldn’t enter the room because the door was locked.  But after several failed attempts to open the door; we forcibly broke into the room. We saw her [Obolo] naked with the stabs in her stomach, throat and her left thigh in a pool of blood,” she said.

The body has since been deposited at the Afia Nkwanta government hospital pending investigations while the suspect, believed to be a military officer is on the run.

It was a lifestyle that gave Ms Montenegro a deep insight into what men really want from women as they confided in her about their desires and relationships.

It wasn’t until the age of 33 that she finally retired once and for all and instead became trained in neuro-linguistic programming, a type of psychotherapy.

Ms Montenegro then found fame when she wrote the story of her life in the book 10,000 Men and Counting, which was released in 2014.
