Ronaldo, who now plays forward for Italian club Juventus, listed the five-bedroom, three-story brick house on Monday for £3.25 million (US$4.1 million), according to listing records.

The Portuguese footballer is set to take a £600,000 loss if it sells for that asking price. Mr. Ronaldo, 33, purchased the house for £3.895 million over a decade ago, according to a title document filed with the Land Registry in 2007.

Images of the house reveal Mr. Ronaldo’s surprisingly Gothic taste in furnishings. The spartan decor left in the house is almost exclusively black, including a black shag and cowhide rugs, a plush charcoal-gray couch and even sheer black curtains.

Otherwise the home has fairly traditional finishes, including light stone-tile and hardwood floors and tall windows.
There’s also a slew of luxurious amenities, including a pool, spacious white-and-black lacquer kitchen (Juventus’s team colors), a steam room, cinema room and a gym, according to images of the house, which is listing with local real estate agency Benson Bunch. The brokerage did not return a request for comment.

There are three en-suite bedrooms in total, including a large master suite with two adjoining bathrooms and a walk-in closet.

This is the second time the Portuguese footballer has marketed his former English home. The property first hit the market in 2013 for £3.75 million, according to an old listing for the home.

Peter Aidoo, a farm hand, was arrested two weeks ago together with his cousin, Samuel Aido who has also been handed down eight years imprisonment.

He was said to have told his friends at a ‘drugs ghetto’ that he was looking for someone to buy his son because he was a stubborn child.

The NDC chairman for Ellembele constituency, Alex Mahama, who had a tip-off of the man’s intention, feigned interest and arranged a meeting with the father of the child at the Melvina Lodge at Ellembele.

He informed the police at Anyinase about the incident following which an officer was assigned to him to help effect the arrest of the suspect.

According to the NDC chairman, he told the person through whom he got the information about the sale of the child to inform the suspect he was ready to buy the boy who was being sold at a price of 100,000 cedis.

He said they agreed on Saturday, August 4, 2018 with the suspect following which they booked room 13 at Melvina Lodge for the transaction.

Because the chairman is a known figure, he said he got the Assembly member of Awiebo electoral area to be his ‘agent’ for the transaction.

The suspect on Saturday night showed up at the venue with his accomplice as agreed.

At the venue, the assembly member and the two suspects bargained and agreed on 60,000 cedis after which the accomplice left the scene to bring the 14-year-old boy while the father stayed at the hotel to have dinner.

The Police was signaled and just when the accomplice brought the boy to the hotel, they moved in and arrested the two.

On August 17, the two were put before the Takoradi Circuit Court where the 35-year old father was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to the offence.

The victim is now being catered for by the NDC chairman who has enrolled him in a vacation class

Barcelona ‘willing to sell Neymar to Man Utd’ https://www.adomonline.com/barcelona-willing-sell-neymar-man-utd/ Wed, 24 May 2017 10:53:27 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=134551 Barcelona are reportedly preparing to sell Manchester United target Neymar in the summer.

Barca are believed to have concerns about the Brazilian’s lifestyle and will offload the 25-year-old as long as his £170million release clause is met.

Spanish outlet Diario Gol, says Barcelona chiefs are willing to sanction his exit this summer and bring in some fresh blood due Neymar’s lack of commitment to the Barca cause.

United were heavily linked with the player last summer and the player’s father claimed United had made an offer to Barca for his services. The club have once again been linked with Neymar more recently, while PSG are also thought to be interested and have the financial muscle to lure the player.

Neymar signed a new deal to keep him at the Nou Camp until 2021 in October 2016 and earlier this month he claimed his future was in Catalonia.

Neymar told beIN Sports: “I want to be here and that’s why I renewed. I’m happy with everything I’ve done for the club.

“And I’m happy with my team-mates. I feel at home.”

But if Barcelona decide to cash in on Neymar to fund moves for Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin, Juventus striker Paulo Dybala and PSG midfielder Marco Verratti then the forward could be surplus to requirements.

Neymar, who has scored 19 goals in 44 appearances this season, will see his buyout clause increase to £200m the next year and £212m for the final three years of his contract.
