Joining them are celebrated actors from Ghana, including Roselyn Ngissah, Majid Michel, James Gardiner, and Yvonne Okoro, making the film a truly Pan-African collaboration.

Real Warri Pikin, known for her infectious humor and larger-than-life personality, couldn’t hide her love for Ghana, describing it as one of her favorite countries.

According to her, she doesn’t know why people can’t tolerate each other in marriage but can easily forgive people who offend them, adding that in marriage both parties need to make it work rather than leaving it for just one to make it work.

“Marriage na study working, the man will work, the woman will work, you must have that mentality of making it work out not ready to walk out. Your papa, pikin, brother do you something you forgive, but when it’s your husband, I don’t know why with a spouse, I cannot take it.

“That’s how I’m wired. Only fools stay married, Yes, I’m a fool. The question Do you know who I am caused a lot of problems?”

The actress, who recently celebrated 11 years of marriage this year stated, “Marriage is sweet, marriage is difficult, marriage is exhausting, marriage is beautiful which makes it all part of life.”

Sharing her ideas and thoughts on marriage and the advice she had for the young ones who are interested in marriage, she told Doreen Avio how she and her husband have been able to put their different backgrounds aside and rather focus on the goal of making it work for them which she said has made submission easy.

“Sometimes, my husband (Ikechukwu) dey annoy me. His background and mine are two different ones, we have come together for the past 11 years. We learn, unlearn and relearn.

“Every day I am learning Ikechuku, he is learning me and it makes submission easy because he is the leader.”

Anita, as known by her loved ones also shared how her husband loved her every step of the way when she was slim before marriage, put on weight after birth and is now slim again adding that there was never an instance where she was emotionally blackmailed by her husband.

She is also of the opinion that, when a man leads and is not controlling in the marriage, he listens to his wife and also understands it’s a partnership which makes the marriage attractive and very seamless.

She also advised that couples should make God the centre of their marriage which goes a long way to protect and make the union work all the time.

Real Warri Pikin was in Ghana to support her colleague comedian Parrot Mouth’s ‘Laugh it off’ comedy show at Association International School.

She performed alongside other comedians like Khemikal, DKB, Akpororo, Pararan and others.

In an interview with Doreen Avio on JoyNews, the comedian revealed that she struggled with frequent illnesses so much that she had to be taken to the hospital on a number of occasions.

This, Real Warri Pikin said, affected her ability to perform in order to earn her livelihood.

The comedian cum actress noted that, she was unable to perform at comedy shows and had to refund some monies paid to her, adding that “It wasn’t easy at all.”

She said her decision to undergo the surgery was on the advise of her doctor, noting that “You cannot lose weight naturally, don’t deceive yourself, there’s a lot of things involved.”

Real Warri Pikin said that the gastric sleeve surgery, where about 80% of her stomach fat was removed, was not a painful experience.

Post-surgery, she said she maintains a balanced diet and a gym routine, emphasising the importance of dietary control in weight management.

“Weight is lost in the kitchen, not the gym. You only tone up in the gym, so you eat less, you reduce,” Real Warri Pikin said.

Speaking with Doreen Avio on JoyNews, she revealed that the backlash she suffered after sharing images of her own experience with gastric sleeve surgery made her rethink disclosing further details.

“I almost regretted coming out to say my truth, because people do not accept change. They are stuck with the old version of you because your old version makes them happy, and comfortable. They are plus size, they’re big, they can relate and it makes them happy. So, when you change they feel like you’ve betrayed them, they can’t accept change,” Real Warri Pikin said.

The comedian said she reflected on whether she should have fabricated her transformation by attributing it to exercise and slimming teas.

Real Warri Pikin insisted that sharing her story was never to influence others to undergo the same procedure.

But she also expressed gratitude for some positive comments she received. Real Warri Pikin revealed that many people were inspired by her journey and took the initiative to conduct their own research into the procedure.

She stated that undergoing a gastric sleeve surgery should be under the advise of a medical professional.

The comedian stressed that it is not suitable for everyone and can pose significant risks to those who aren’t ideal candidates.

“If you want to do it talk to your doctor. You might not be a candidate for gastric, and you might lose your life,” Real Warri Pikin cautioned.

She described how being overweight made her always breathless, exhausted and weak, and she also had muscle and joint pain, intense migraines and other complications.

The comedian disclosed that she went through a period of emotional turmoil, trying to decide between natural weight loss methods and surgery. Despite working out and eating right, she found it difficult to shed the excess weight and was faced with various health challenges as a result.

She described how her husband, Ikechukwu, expressed concern for her health and encouraged her to consider the surgery as an option.

This perception, she explained, is due to the spaghetti, gari and numerous accompaniments the dish is served with.

The actress, who is currently on a tour in Ghana, made these remarks after colleague actress, Yvonne Okoro served her waakye during a visit.

Real Warri Pikin who could not hide her joy extolled Miss Okoro for the meal and the warm reception at the Afri-royal hotel which belongs to the latter’s dad.

To the shock of Miss Okoro, the Nigerian actress amidst laughter described the waakye as an incomplete sacrifice, stating most of the waakye she has seen are served with two eggs.

Real Warri Pikin took to her Instagram page to share the video which has got many laughing coupled with hilarious reactions.
