The announcement will be broadcast live, and the public is encouraged to tune in for the declaration.

At a press briefing in Accra on Monday, December 9, Deputy EC Commissioner, Samuel Tettey urged political party supporters to refrain from gathering at the National Collation Centre.

Tettey emphasized that such gatherings are unnecessary and illegal, calling on all parties and their supporters to remain calm and patient as the final results are processed.

“There is no need for political party supporters to crowd the national collation centre. This is illegal and unwarranted,” Tettey said. “The centre should only be visited by those with proper accreditation. Others can watch the live results declaration at 4:30 PM.”

According to the agents, 18 pink sheets were unaccounted for after completing the collation of submitted and accepted sheets.

In response, the Returning Officer has summoned the parliamentary candidates and one representative from each party to re-examine the pink sheets to resolve the issue.

Media personnel, however, have not been permitted to observe this process.

The development has heightened tension in the constituency as stakeholders await a resolution to ensure transparency and fairness in the collation process.
