Nigerian singer and dancer Peter Okoye, popularly known as Mr. P and formerly one-half of the defunct P-Square duo, has launched a scathing attack on his brothers, Paul and Jude Okoye, accusing them of betrayal and attempting to tarnish his image amid their ongoing legal dispute.

In a series of Instagram Story posts, Peter responded to recent claims by Jude Okoye’s lawyer in court, who accused him of providing false information to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a royalty dispute.

Fuming, Mr. P wrote:
“Exactly what I was talking about: their publicist doing everything to make me look like a liar. I am not May D or Cynthia Morgan; I am Peter Okoye—the one and only, the rock/Okwute of the Okoyes. The truth shall surely prevail. Una thief abi una no thief?”

He went on to reflect on his decision to act as the “bigger person” during their highly publicized 2021 reunion, which he now says was a mistake.

“After watching everything about Mohbad’s death and how the whole thing played out to date, I decided I would never again play the bigger person or act as the mature one. And that’s exactly what led to this whole madness—simply because I was trying to be the bigger person! Omo! Never again,” he stated.

In another post, he alleged that he had been used during the reconciliation process:

“Only to find out that I was actually used in the whole November 2021 reunion! But since we are in court, I will wait for the right time to tell what really went down. Family doesn’t steal from family. Una thief abi una no thief?”

Peter’s emotional outburst has sparked widespread debate on social media, with fans expressing mixed reactions as tensions rise within one of Nigeria’s most celebrated musical families.

Mr P as he is popularly known decided to undergo the hair implant because of his receding hairline.

The procedure took place at MedHair Clinic in Istanbul Turkey where he is scheduled to perform at an event.

The musician took to X to update fans and followers on his surgery as he appreciated them for the love and support.

“The surgery hair implant went well and successful! I appreciate everyone looking out for me. I want to say a big Thank You! I’ll still be performing tonight at @foxclubistanbul with a bandage on my head.

“The show must go on! All tickets SOLD OUT already! Let’s do this! Mr. P is a trooper and raring to go! Love y’all! Peace,” he posted.

According to him, his wife, Lola Omotayo, daughter, Aliona and himself all tested positive about three weeks ago but he decided to keep it to himself.

“My daughter was to self-isolate in her own room and because I was also sick, I could not even see her and I really felt bad and it felt I brought the virus into the house,” he said.

Sharing his recovery story in a video he posted on Instagram, he disclosed the past weeks had been hell for the family but he decided to come out now for the greater good of society.

He added two of his domestic workers also tested positive for the virus with all of them expected to self-isolate in their respective rooms which was difficult.

He, thus, urged all and sundry to follow the safety protocols at all times.
