The list, compiled by ICS Africa, highlights women excelling in various sectors, including business, governance, media, education, and advocacy.

Gifty Anti was recognized in the Media and Communication category alongside other influential African media figures such as Ghana’s Anita Erskine, Nigeria’s Mo Abudu, Farida Karoney, and Edith Kimani.

According to ICS Africa, the Phenomenal 50 honors women who have demonstrated excellence in their professions, contributed significantly to their communities, and inspired positive change across the continent.

The initiative is set to be an annual recognition released in commemoration of International Women’s Day on March 8.

Gifty Anti, known for her advocacy on women’s empowerment and her remarkable contributions to Ghana’s media landscape, expressed gratitude for the recognition.

The award reinforces her influence as a trailblazer in African media and a role model for aspiring female journalists.

She received a beautifully crafted citation and a collection of hampers filled with branded SABA products.

The presentation ceremony was graced by esteemed individuals including Mr Abdul Rahman Sharaf, General Manager; Mr. Lokesh Chandankhede, Regional Head of Sales & Marketing; Mr. Sharaf Abdalla, Marketing & Export Head; and Mr. Emmanuel Ahwireng, Trade Marketing Executive.

Mr. Sharaf said the company chose to recognise the veteran media personality due to her exceptional contributions, particularly in the realm of women empowerment.
Gifty Anti graciously accepted the gifts and expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the company for the recognition.

In addition to honoring Gifty Anti, Golden Africa Ghana also distributed hampers to several market women as a gesture to commemorate this special occasion.

The hampers included products such as SABA Multipurpose Soap, SABA Detergent, SABA Liquid Detergent, Juliet Beauty Soap, and Meditwist Hand-wash & Soap.

This thoughtful initiative by Golden Africa Ghana serves as a reminder of the invaluable role that mothers play in society and the significance of acknowledging their efforts.

She was presented with a citation at a brief ceremony held on Monday, April 10, 2023, as part of the Easter festivities.

This was in recognition of her philanthropic work in the town since she married their chief seven years ago.

Oheneyere Gifty Anti thanked the youth, the chief, queenmother and elders of Adumasa for giving her the opportunity to support the people, especially children and the aged.

Gifty Anti started the Girl in Need Foundation to raise funds to help girls go back to school, stay in school, learn a skill or trade.

Also, after she tied the knot with Nana Ansah Kwao IV on October 15, 2015, Gifty Anti established a library to promote reading among children in Adumasa and surrounding areas.

Gifty Anti celebrates 53rd birthday with hot photos

The initiative which was started with a two classroom blocks have now been expanded to four including an exclusive reading room with a piano and a projector.

The library was built with funds she raised on social media, some from friends and support from corporate organisations such as Old Mutual, Ashfoam, Slim N Fit and many others.

Aside the library project, Gifty Anti organises jollof party for children and does routine health screening exercises in Adumasa periodically.

In 2021, Gifty Anti organised a special event for 100 pregnant women dubbed: Happy Day.
