Despite diligently rehearsing her chewing skills for two weeks leading up to the event, Artiste Maame, as she is fondly called, was only able to endure seven hours of the seven-day chew-a-thon before facing complications.

She reportedly suffered complications of high blood sugar.

According to Ogidi Brown, his mother was unconscious and nearly died on January 5 which was also his birthday.

Ogidi revealed his mother’s blood pressure and sugar went low abruptly, causing her to pass out. He recalled screaming for help and how a ambulance arrived to stabilize his mother.

Although she was seriously ill during the chew-a-thon, Artiste Maame managed to entertain Ghanaians for the seven hours.

Fameye is officially no longer a signee of OGB Music, headed by Ogidi Brown, after series of consultations.

In a contract termination letter he made available on social media, it said “we have mutually agreed to part ways going forward but with continuous support for each other.”

Fameye also added that his stay was delightful and beneficial, and he is pleased to walk away having a good relationship with his former boss.

However, barely two years ago, that good relationship was non-existent after allegations that Fameye slapped his boss and refused to refund some funds that were invested into his craft.

This led to a massive online and personal banter, and Ogidi Brown had to employ the services of a deity, Antoa.

In an interview with Delay on the Delay show, he said one of his favourite aunties appeared to him when he was in coma and took him on a tour.

He narrated that, they appeared in a place like Ghana where she introduced him to some old family members and classmates that he hadn’t seen in a long time.

I saw one of my favourite aunties. She used to buy me ice cream anytime she visited me when she was alive.

She showed me around and she made me greet many people. Some of them looked like my old classmates, he said.

He said he was feeling pain in his leg in the dream, hence he couldn’t walk well.

Meanwhile, he said when they got to a barrier which looked like a gutter, his aunty jumped and asked him to follow her lead but he couldn’t due to the injury he had in the dream.

When we got to the gutter, she jumped and asked me to follow her but I told her I couldn’t because I was hurt and in pain. I couldn’t walk properly. I don’t think I would have survived if I crossed over to her side, he said.

Ogidi Brown went viral on social media two days ago after invoking the dreaded Antoa deity on Fameye over some $50,000 owned him.

OGB on Instagram swore by his wheel chair to ensure the musician is killed by Antoa if he [Fameye] does not pay back the money.

On December 31st, 2020, Ogidi Brown put up a sterling performance in church to thank God.

OBG gave a rendition of legendary Nana Yaw Asare’s ‘Odomakoma’, which seeks to give God his accolades as the Omnipotent.

In his latest video he has promised to curse the singer.

According to him, Fameye has decided to forgo the terms that they made when he decided to become an independent artiste.

He explained that Fameye owes him $50,000 per the exit clause he signed with him but the ‘Nothing I Get’ singer is playing games instead of paying him off.

Fameye now you organise a family concert and a show, you have forgotten about me… Ever since I had issues with you if I try going to court, you will come and lie to me.

People keep saying they will pay… you have been tossing me up and down… you will call on big people to confirm to me you will pay but they will never do so.

Today you are playing concerts because you are a superstar. I give you two weeks. You know… the gods will judge us, 50,000 dollars is nothing for me but I will curse you at ‘antoa’. If I curse you and no one listens to my music anymore I like it. I swear to God.

I should go bankrupt and be poor right? You are riding on me to be successful. I have seen the lawyers cannot deal with this matter… I will not sit in a wheelchair for you to enjoy.

Taking to Instagram to post a picture of him on a hospital bed, Ogidi Brown disclosed he has been admitted for eight days “with a serious condition”.

Celebrate me today, talk about me today, post my picture on social media today and wish me well, pray for me everywhere, TV and Radio, I want to see this live, don’t let me die before my family will see you were a big fan. I’ve been admitted at hospital for 8 days in serious condition, he said.

The Konongo Kaya musician, in his long note, also spoke about how music authorities have prevented him from grabbing a nomination in the music space.

He, therefore, wants the First Man of the country to recognise his efforts of raising hopes of other physically-challenged people, by rewarding him specially.

Mr President, Nana Akufo Addo @nakufoaddo this is Ogidibrown, a Ghanaian hiplife/highlife musician. Am the only physically challenged artiste in a wheelchair trying to build the hope of others to know disability is not an excuse.

It doesn’t look like Ogidi Brown’s call on the president will receive any attention especially when the criteria can’t be influenced by him.

A look at the criteria for nominations of the Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), for instance, suggests that before an artistes is nominated, a blank list of categories along with definitions are sent out to industry practitioners in all regions of Ghana by the VGMA board.

Radio Station DJs, night club DJs, as well as Musician Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) regional offices and major distributors of music, among others, all make inputs into how artistes are nominated in the various categories.

Ogidi Brown who has described Fameye as immature and a cheat said inspite of his efforts at helping the latter to produce and release a number of hit songs he has failed to stick to his part of the contract that exists between them.

He alleged that Fameye defrauded him of over GHc120,000 but he has decided not to arrest him because he has a pending civil case against him.

“We have a signed a contract but he lost focus and went against the contract’s terms. You can’t spend someone’s money like that; over 1.2 billion. Per law, he is still under my record label because he personally signed the contract,” he disclosed in an interview with Zionfelix.com.

According to Ogidi Brown, six months prior to the Fameye’s exit, he did not receive his share from the monies paid for his over 50 shows.

He however revealed that though he commits the situation into God’s hands, he is yet to forgive him because when he thinks of doing so, Fameye provokes him with his immature attitude.

“Relaxing doesn’t mean I have forgotten the issue. I leave everything into the hands of God who doesn’t sleep. I don’t have any bad intentions for him because he is a kid who everyone knows is immature,” he said.

Additionally, Ogidi Brown disclosed he and his lawyers tried to contact his former signee but he failed to respond.

The Chief Executive Officer of OGB music was full of happiness announcing to his fans his newest member, Cryme Officer, in series of photos on Instagram on Monday.

What arrested the attention of many were the schnapps and eggs which looked like a prerequist for the music deal to be inked.

Rumours suggest Ogidi Brown has developed trust issues with emerging acts because his former act, Fameye, broke his heart when he left his label after his ‘Nothing I Get’ song became a hit.

Others also suggest that the Schnapps and eggs are to keep the contract under the “eyes of the gods” because musicians tend to disrespect managers who help them attain the limelight.

Many reasons provided in the comment box under the post suggest Ogidi Brown has truly learnt his lesson when it comes to signing contracts.

Meanwhile, people have showered praises on Cryme Officer for his bravery to carry on with the music deal.
