The mediation, held in Kumasi, brought an end to months of legal tension between the two actors after Oboy Siki formally withdrew his earlier remarks and apologised to Yaw Dabo.

Oboy Siki admitted that his claims about Yaw Dabo were based on hearsay rather than verified facts. He rendered an unqualified apology and retracted all defamatory statements made against his colleague.

The case is expected to be formally closed at the Adum High Court.

The dispute stemmed from comments Oboy Siki made during an interview on GhPage TV, where he allegedly made several damaging claims about Yaw Dabo’s personal life and football management activities.

According to court documents, the allegations included claims that Dabo was incapable of impregnating a woman, lacked the capacity to marry, and did not own his football club. He was also described using other derogatory and demeaning language.

The remarks prompted Yaw Dabo to file a defamation suit at the Adum High Court in the Ashanti Region, seeking GH¢1million in damages for reputational harm.

The two actors made their initial court appearance in Kumasi after the suit was filed. Although Oboy Siki issued a public apology shortly after the controversy began and appealed for the matter to be dropped, legal proceedings continued amid concerns over his compliance with court processes.

His counsel later requested an out-of-court settlement, which the court granted, allowing both parties time to pursue an amicable resolution.

Neither party has disclosed whether any financial compensation formed part of the final settlement.

The two actors made their first court appearance in Kumasi today following comments Oboy Siki allegedly made during an interview on GhPage TV after a football match in Kumasi.

The remarks are said to have stemmed from a financial disagreement during the game.

According to court documents, Oboy Siki allegedly made several insulting statements about Yaw Dabo’s football management activities and personal life.

Among the claims cited in the suit are assertions that Dabo is “incapable of impregnating a woman, is selfish, and is not man enough” to marry. He was also allegedly subjected to other derogatory descriptions.

Although Oboy Siki reportedly rendered an apology days after the incident and appealed for the matter to be dropped, the case was formally filed at the Adum High Court.

During proceedings, the defendant was said to have failed to fully comply with the initial suit processes, prompting Yaw Dabo’s lawyer to file an application to continue with the case.

However, counsel for Oboy Siki appealed for an out-of-court settlement, a request the court granted.

Both parties have been given time to explore an amicable resolution and are expected to reappear before the court at a later date.

The case has since generated significant public interest within the Kumawood industry, as observers await its outcome.

According to Awuni, Oboy Siki’s lack of acting opportunities has led him to speak negatively about the industry, but she believes his actions are driven by his retirement and declining presence.

Awuni emphasized that despite Oboy Siki’s harsh remarks, Kumawood remains active, with many actors still securing roles and working consistently.

She lamented his constant insults on colleagues and producers, stating that his influence has diminished and that his words should not be taken seriously.

In her strong critique, Awuni labeled Oboy Siki as a “devil among humans” and advised others not to give him attention.

She expressed concern for newcomers who may be misled by his negative outlook and noted that his disturbing statements, including claims about his own death, further reflect his troubled mindset.

Awuni also used the opportunity to call on investors to continue supporting Kumawood, stressing that the industry still holds great potential.

She encouraged people to focus on the positive aspects of Kumawood and not be swayed by the pessimism of those who have previously benefited from the industry but now seek to undermine it.

According to him, his father, who was both a teacher and owned a fleet of 12 vehicles, used to overload his cars, taking advantage of his good rapport with a local Police officer.

However, when Rawlings assumed office, he enforced stringent regulations against  overloading.

Despite warnings, Amana persisted in overloading his car, which had a capacity for 33 passengers but often carried up to 70.

Consequently, he was arrested by the authorities.

At the Police station, Oboy Siki said his father was given 12 lashes for the initial violation, plus an additional lash for each extra passenger, totaling 24 lashes.

He said Amana was around 60-years-old at the time, and his popularity in the community made the incident particularly noteworthy.

“My father, Amana, was both a teacher and a driver with 12 cars. He informed the friendly police officers about his vehicle’s tendency to overload, which they initially ignored. However, Jerry Rawlings implemented a strict rule against overloading vehicles.

“My dad’s car, which had a capacity for 33 passengers, would sometimes carry 70. His continuous overloading eventually resulted in his arrest. At the police station, the commander decided that the punishment for his violation was 12 lashes, plus an additional lash for each extra passenger. As a result, he received 24 lashes. He was around 60 years old at the time. His popularity in the area made the incident quite surprising,” he shared in a video posted by Express GH TV on their YouTube channel.

During an interview on Kingdom FM, Oboy Siki said many pastors engage in fraudulent activities such as selling prayers and exploiting their congregants for financial gain.

He accused them of using fake oils and handkerchiefs to collect huge sums of money from congregants.

In response to these accusations, Prophet Gyimah condemned Oboy Siki’s statements, adding that, he had made a grave error by disparaging individuals who dedicate their lives to serving God.

He cautioned Oboy Siki against speaking against men of God because he can incur the wrath of God.

He questioned why Oboy Siki would choose to engage in voodoo to attain fame but finds fault with people choosing to put their faith in the Almighty God.

The comment struck Oboy Siki’s nerve as he cautioned the prophet not to peddle falsehood.

They nearly generated into a fight until the producers of the show intervened.

Calm was however restored and the duo ended up appreciating each other’s religious viewpoints.

According to him, his failure in life is due to his insatiable desire for women.

In a candid disclosure, Oboy Siki said he started womanising as a teenager and has now slept with over 50 women.

Though he tried to stop, the actor said quitting womanising seems like a fruitless venture.

The popular actor is convinced he inherited this trait from his father, who is also a well-known polygamist.

He claimed his father was entangled with dozens of women during his lifetime and ‘married’ about 17 of them.

“It’s in my blood, I have a long list of about 50 girls I have been involved with and even if I want to stop now, it’s impossible. Womanising is in my DNA. I inherited it from my father,” he said during a tell-it-all interview with actress, Nayas.

Oboy Siki is convinced his love for women is the reason for his retrogression in life.

As someone who is over 60, the popular actor said he cannot boost of money or property in his name.

Oboy Siki said it is not surprising to see a polygamist live as a pauper, as they usually fail to attain success in life.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Hello FM, the controversial movie star said women who give birth to many children become ‘tattered and unattractive’.

“Any woman who is sensible enough won’t allow a man to have more than four children with her in this modern-day. I mean no sensible woman will have more than four children nowadays with her husband or whoever she’s staying with.

“As a woman, if you give birth to many children, you become tattered and it’ll get to a point where your husband won’t find you attractive anymore,” he added.

The veteran Ghanaian actor has previously boasted of his womanizing prowess and has revealed that he will die at the end of 2024.

Oboy Siki also said he sees no reason why he should go to church apart from getting paid.

He further threatened to expose any pastor who fails to pay him after visiting his church.

He emphasized that, apart from going to church for money, there is no other reason he will do that.

To him, he now understands that the church has become a business venture, hence he would also treat it as such.

“I won’t go to any pastor. What am I going to do there? If you are a pastor and you see me in your church, then you should be ready to give me an envelope (money) at the end of the service if you don’t want any problem.

“Because if you don’t give me money I will come out to expose you”.

Oboy Siki revealed this on Kumasi-based Hello FM Entertainment Review programme monitored by MyNewsGH.com.

“There is not a single church in Ghana that exists because of God. They are all doing business,” he insisted.

Known for his ‘old man’ roles and comic character in movies, Oboy Siki has constantly been the centre of attraction in many controversial situations and topics in the country.

In a one-on-one interview with Akoma FM‘s ace journalist Ama Serwaa, the veteran actor voiced out his disappointment in not being able to give birth to 65 children as his father did.

The actor expressed deep disappointment for not being able to match his father’s ‘record’.

“I have nine children with seven different women. Looking at what my father achieved, I have done nothing,” he said.

Oboy Siki’s disappointment has left many surprised and disappointed for such an utterance.

Boys Boys, as he is also known, has been rumoured to have been flirting with women in and out of the movie industry due to his fame and popularity.

In the interview, the controversial ‘old man’ left many Ghanaians in shock as he revealed that he is a womanizer and has been a womanizer right from birth.

“I am a womanizer by birth, and the movie industry also helped shaped my womanizing character,” he said in Twi.

His words have dazzled a lot of Ghanaians and have sparked lots of conversations.

Oboy Siki has been in the news for claiming that Agya Koo’s new mansion was built from proceeds he received from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP).

But the National Public Relations Officer (PRO) for Film Producers Association (FIPAG), Mawule Ekpe Peter, has urged the actor who once bragged about sleeping with 5,000 ladies to stop sleeping with young girls if he wants to build a nice house with money from acting.

‘Abro’, in an interview with Ambassador TV, revealed,

“There are so many Kumawood actors and actresses who have acquired a lot of property through acting. I think Oboy Siki is jealous of Agya Koo and other Kumawood actors who are making it in life with acting money because he doesn’t have what they have.

“I knew Agya Koo was building a mansion since 2011 so I don’t understand why people are saying he built his mansion with NPP money because Agya Koo endorsed NPP in 2016. Instead of Oboy Siki appreciating Agya Koo and other Kumawood actors who are making it in life and advice the upcoming actors and actresses to learn from them, he is just condemning them because of envy and jealousy.”

He asked Ghanaians to commend Agya Koo instead of condemning his new initiative.

“We should thank God that Agya Koo didn’t come on social media to beg for money for food or hospital bills but rather he came out to tell the world acting has helped him. Kyeiwaa, McBrown, Akrobeto, Kwaku Manu, Lilwin and others have not endorsed any political party but if I show you what they have achieved with acting money, Ambassador you will be surprised,” he observed.

“Oboy Siki cannot achieve anything with acting money because he wastes his money on young girls by fried eggs and indomie for them at night just to sleep with them,” he claimed.

The actor predicted in an interview that “I won’t die through accident, I will die peacefully. You will come to find me lying cool in my room.”

This, he said, is based on a covenant and personal plea he had with God to succumb after a life well lived.

Confident in the Almighty to uphold their covenant, Oboy Siki said he will start making plans for his funeral arrangement next year.

According to him, he feels in his spirit that he has accomplished all he came to earth for, and it will be better he dies than to waste on earth.

Should he fail to die come 2024, Oboy Siki said he will live an indiscipline life and be a thorn in the flesh off all who know him.

In recent times, he has stepped on a few toes due to some unfortunate utterances he made, but a remorseless Oboy Siki said the years after 2024 will be worse.

He made the utterances in an interview on Adom FM’s Entertainment Hall.

This according to him is a personal prayer and plea he has made to God.

“I have personally been praying to God to take my life in 2024. I have been saying it for two years now,” he said in an interview on Accra-based Kingdom FM.

The controversial actor said should he die in 2024, nobody should be surprised or think he was murdered.

“I’m serious; I know in 2024 I will die. I have been saying it. Nobody should be surprised when I die in 2024. I have not gone to take any spiritual medicine from anywhere” he stressed.

Oboy Siki noted that, he is very much aware of the circumstances in which he will die, stating it will be peaceful.

He shockingly revealed that, it was his wish to die on top of a woman during intercourse but has changed his mind because he wants to leave behind a good name.

Oboy Siki recounted how he insulted a man of God who wrongly predicted his death years ago.

“A pastor prophesied that I will die earlier and I told him it was a lie. Here I am today; I’m waiting for 2024. I won’t die through accident, I will die peacefully. You will come to find me lying cool in my room” he predicted.

Oboy Siki speaks on Bernard Nyarko’s death, reveals important details

Ghana was hit with the news of Bishop Nyarko’s demise on Saturday, May 2, 2020 after suffering from an ailment for several months.

Some actors in an interview disclosed the late Bishop Nyarko on his sick bed denied them access and their support to him.

Speaking in an interview with Kofi TV, he stressed they would not have been able to raise that money because they have been badly hit with regards to their finances.

“The Gold was for the people with stardom and the silver for the upcoming players and the young people and I had GH¢ 5,000.00 when my father died. So there would have been no money for them to support him.

“Even if we were to support, that would have been GH¢ 5,000.00 and was that the money he would have used for his treatment outside the country?” he said in Twi on Kofi TV.
