The actress in a recent interview disclosed that she is not dating a married man but if one should ask her out she would accept him.

Giving reasons for her assertion she stated that married men are more caring and don’t stress their partner unlike single men.

In her words, “I am not dating a married man but if I see one, I will date him. They (married men) are less stressed and they take care of women better than single guys_ If a married man has a girlfriend, he would take care of the girl. But, single guys have divided attention; they are always jumping from one woman to the other.”

When asked if she is not scared of being embarrassed for dating a married man, she stated she will respect boundaries without interfering in his marriage

She said: “It depends on how one handles it. One just has to respect the boundaries, and must not interfere in his marriage. As a ‘side chic’, one should not call him when he is at home. As long as he is taking care of one, one does not need to blackmail him with his family.

“It is when one disrespects the family that it becomes dangerous. Whether I date a married man or not, a side chic will date my husband. It is normal. It is the nature of men to cheat The important thing is for him to respect me.”

She also spoke about her controversial nature, noting that she is controversial because she wants to be in the news and trend.

“I am not a prostitute. I just decided to become controversial because I wanted to trend. I have been to so many auditions, but in the end, if one does not have money to produce one’s own movie or pay directors to give one a lead role, one would keep being a ‘handbag’ (being relegated). That is now what I want. I have auditioned for Big Brother Nigeria more than six times. I even got to the final stage but they did not pick me,” she explained.

She continued, “I have also been in Nollywood with nothing to show for it. It is either the director wants to sleep with one in exchange for a role, or one had to pay money, which I considered to be nonsense. That was why I decided to become controversial.”

The much-loved actress, who is set to marry her showbiz colleague, Frederick Leonard, in just a few days had a bridal shower attended by those in her close circle.

The event, which was filled with class and glamour, was held on Saturday, November 12, 2022.

In the video shared on her Instagram page, the excited bride-to-be was seen displaying wild dance moves amidst twerks to the delight of her guests.

Clad in a lovely white gown, she had a black and gold sash with the inscription bride to be on it.

The duo made their relationship public with romantic visuals on their Instagram pages to the delight of many in October.

They are set to tie the knot on Saturday, November 19, 2022.

The solemn ceremony took place on Friday, August 26, 2022.

Ahead of the burial, a novelty match and a candlelight service was held in her honour on August 19 in Lagos. 

The body was laid in state for viewing and filing past. She was interred in her family’s compound in Benue State on August 26.

Francisca’s death comes barely a week after actress Chinedu Bernards slumped and died in church.

According to reports, the actress hit the deck while doing her church chore and was rushed to the East Side Hospital by the priest.

She was declared dead by the hospital shortly after.

The 61-year-old thespian’s daughter, Bisi Aisha, initially announced her mother’s death in several Instagram posts on Wednesday night.

She wrote: “My mum is gone. Rest well mummy. May ur soul Rest In Peace mummy.”

Actress Foluke Daramola Salako also took to social media to mourn her much senior colleague.

She wrote: “And finally we lost her. RIP Iyabo Oko, we did our best.”

In a new twist, the actresses’ daughter returned to social media to announce her mother, who was reported dead the previous day, had returned to life, three hours after she died.

She made this known via her Instagram page where she posted a photo of her mother with the caption: “Wonderful being, she moved her hand after being confirmed dead 3hrs ago. God we will forever praise ur HOLY name.”

The veteran actress had been battling an ailment. According to one of her daughters, Olamide, she was diagnosed with an ischaemic stroke about five years ago but chose to keep her health issues away from the public.

The actress was reportedly killed on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

Sources say that they heard gunshots but before they could get to the scene, the hoodlums had fled.

The reason for the killing is yet to be established while the corpse has been deposited at a mortuary in the area.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, confirmed the killing of the actress who was also a POS operator.

He said, “the young woman was killed by unknown men but efforts are on to arrest the perpetrators.”

The deceased’s son, Tunji Oniga, made the announcement on Wednesday in Lagos.

Oniga told the News Agency of Nigeria that the wake-keeping would hold August 26 at her residence in Magodo, Lagos.

According to him, she would be laid to rest on August 27 at a cemetery yet-to-be disclosed by the family.

He said: ”My mother’s death is shocking to me, in fact, I don’t believe she is dead. When I see her phone ring and she isn’t there to take the call, the reality will dawn on me.

”She was a philanthropist, who is always bothered about the needs of others.”

Madam Oniga died after battling a heart-related ailment on July 30, aged 64.

She was born on May 23, 1957 in Ebute Metta, Lagos and started her acting career in 1993.

Over the years, she featured in notable Nigerian films, such as ‘Sango’, a movie scripted by Wale Ogunyemi, produced and directed by Obafemi Lasode and Wale Adenuga’s television series, Super Story.

Madam Oniga reportedly passed on on Friday, July 30, 2021 around 10:00pm at a Lagos Hospital.

She was 64 years.

A family statement, which confirmed the news, said she died from a heart-related disease contrary to reports of covid-19.

This, according to the family, was an ailment she had battled for some time.

Social media has since been inundated with tributes in her honour.
