A heavy downpour accompanied by strong winds on Saturday, April 26, 2025, has collapsed a telecommunication mast at Ngleshie Amanfro in the Ga South Municipality of the Central region. 
The incident occurred near the Ngleshie Amanfro Senior High School(SHS).

According to residents, the mast has collapsed onto nearby electrical cables, causing power outages in the area.

Residents have expressed concerns about their safety after the incident, as relevant authorities are yet to visit the area.

They have appealed to emergency response teams to act quickly to ensure their safety and urged the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to restore power promptly.
