NADMO boss joins NPP parliamentary primary https://www.adomonline.com/nadmo-boss-joins-npp-parliamentary-primary/ Fri, 15 Dec 2023 20:03:33 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2333013 The Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh, has officially declared his intention to contest the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primary.

Mr Agyemang-Prempeh will be contesting in the Ahafo Ano North constituency in the Ashanti Region.

The NPP currently holds the seat with Suleman Adamu Sanid as the Member of Parliament (MP).

But speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, the NADMO boss said his decision is a response to the call from constituents.

He noted that, he has been at the forefront of development in the area for years and a seat in Parliament will afford him the opportunity to continue his good works.

“At age 28, they voted me as their presiding member and later at 30, I was proposed as a DCE under the erstwhile Kufour administration. Through my efforts, there was massive development, ranging from roads, electricity among others. So my footprints and track records are evident in the area.

I secured the land for the construction of the Tepa Government Hospital so I have paid my dues and the people are strongly behind me,” he stated.

The NADMO boss further touted himself as a unifier who will bring onboard all factions when elected.

Meanwhile, Ahafo Ano North will be part of the constituencies where elections will be held for sitting MPs on January 27, 2024.

I will be adjudged the best Director-General if …. – NADMO boss https://www.adomonline.com/i-will-be-adjudged-the-best-director-general-if-nadmo-boss/ Thu, 25 Nov 2021 20:15:46 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2049938 “I will be adjudged the best Director-General if the history of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) is being written,” says, Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh, the NADMO boss.

According to him, his conviction stems from the massive transformation that has taken place at the outfit since he assumed office.

He made these remarks on Adom TV’s Badwam show, as he touts some achievements chalked so far under his leadership.

Mr Agyemang-Prempeh noted that NADMO has taken a different turn under his regime, stating there has, for the first time, been a governing board.

“Over 20 years, NADMO had no logistics, staff IDs, a lot of people had worked for several years without promotions and proper salaries as people were even being paid GHS 500.

“But after five years in office, we now have vehicles for the regional and district offices with some distribution to continue in 2022 and first in history, we have a rescue ambulance which has been a major challenge these whole years,” he patted himself on the back.
