The service, marked by an atmosphere of gratitude and reverence, featured spirited praise and worship led by the Multimedia Choir, with soul-stirring ministration from gospel musician Rama Antwi, whose songs set the tone for worship and thanksgiving.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Executive Officer of the Multimedia Group, Kwasi Twum, called on staff to remain conscious of God’s benefits and to anchor their confidence in Him alone. Drawing from Psalm 103, the CEO urged employees not to take life, work and wellbeing for granted.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits,” he said.

Mr Twum reflected on the privilege of employment and stability, reminding staff that many qualified professionals remain unemployed despite years of training.

“There are doctors, nurses and people with master’s and PhDs who are still sitting at home, and we report on them all the time. God has blessed us with work, so let us not forget His benefits—the benefit of the air we breathe, the work we do, our families, and good health,” he noted.

He further charged the house to recognise God as the source and sustainer of every achievement the company enjoys.

“God is the pillar of our lives and the source of the blessings we have. As we step into this year, let us do so with confidence, knowing He has gone ahead of us and will crown our year with great success. Let our boast not be in ourselves, not in social media following, funds, titles, positions, or bank accounts, but in Him alone,” he stressed.

The Chief Operating Officer of the Multimedia Group, Ken Ansah, also encouraged staff to maintain focus and faithfulness as the company plans for the year ahead.

“Those who look up to Him radiate with joy, and their faces are never ashamed. As we focus on the year ahead, let us look up to Him so we will radiate in joy and shame will never find us,” he said.

Mr Ansah further urged staff to embrace responsibility and diligence in their respective roles.

“Let us focus on the parable of the talent and strive to be called faithful servants,” he added.

Delivering the exhortation, Apostle General of Royalhouse Chapel International, Rev. Sam Korankye Ankrah, encouraged staff to remain steadfast and courageous, assuring them of God’s presence even in challenging moments. He exhorted the congregation from Psalm 23:4, reminding them that fear has no place where God leads.

“Even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, for God is with us,” he declared, urging staff to move forward with confidence, knowing that God’s guidance and protection remain constant.

Rev. Korankye Ankrah commended the leadership of the Multimedia Group and encouraged staff to remain loyal and faithful, noting that greater heights lie ahead for the organisation.

The thanksgiving service also served as a moment of recommitment to the values that have sustained the Multimedia Group over the years — integrity, excellence and service to the public. Management reminded staff that the company’s impact goes beyond broadcasting and publishing, touching lives and shaping national conversations.

With songs of praise echoing through the auditorium and prayers offered for the leadership, staff, and their families, the service underscored the Group’s belief that its progress is firmly anchored in God’s guidance.

Over 2,800 crates of eggs sold at The Multimedia Group’s X’mas Egg Market as consumers express satisfaction https://www.adomonline.com/over-2800-crates-of-eggs-sold-at-the-multimedia-groups-xmas-egg-market-as-consumers-express-satisfaction/ Fri, 19 Dec 2025 20:17:22 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2612321 More than 2,800 crates of eggs were sold as of 12 pm on Friday, at the ongoing X’mas Egg Market, according to the Greater Accra Poultry Farmers Association (GAPFA).

The two-day initiative, held at the Joy FM car park, is jointly organised by The Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) and the Greater Accra Poultry Farmers Association.

It aims at addressing the persistent egg glut confronting local poultry farmers while offering consumers access to eggs and poultry at reduced prices.

Confirming the figures to Joy Business, GAPFA said the strong patronage recorded reflects the growing demand for affordable protein during the festive season, as well as the benefits of linking farmers directly to consumers.

Consumers who spoke to Joy Business expressed satisfaction with the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful, especially amid rising living costs ahead of the Christmas festivities.

Others noted that the quality of the eggs and poultry products, coupled with the reduced prices, encouraged them to buy in larger quantities for household consumption.

Beyond consumer benefits, the X’mas Egg Market is also providing much-needed relief to poultry farmers who have been grappling with excess egg supply, falling prices, and rising production costs in recent months.

The market continues tomorrow, with expectations that sales volumes will further increase as more consumers take advantage of the festive-season price reductions.

Multimedia finishes 2nd at maiden StarTimes Corporate Cup https://www.adomonline.com/multimedia-finishes-2nd-at-maiden-startimes-corporate-cup/ Mon, 22 Aug 2022 06:01:38 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2152585 The Multimedia Group finished as runners-up at the maiden edition of the StarTimes Corporate Cup which took place over the weekend at the Madina astroturf.

Multimedia narrowly lost the final to Decathlon after conceding late in the second half.

It was a disappointing end to what was a string of good performances put together by the media house based in Kokomlemle.

Multimedia remained unbeaten in the group stages as they finished top of Group B with five points. The team picked up a slender 1-0 win in their first game against TCL/Maxbuy thanks to a goal from Owuraku Ampofo. They then went on to pick up consecutive goalless draws against Property Databank and StarTimes to seal a place in the semi-finals.

After dominating the semi-final encounter against Fedems, Multimedia had to settle for a penalty shootout which they eventually won 10-9 after the game ended 0-0 in regular time.

However, the journey for Multimedia ended on a disappointing note after losing the final to Decathlon.

“The team played well throughout the tournament and did well by conceding just one goal in five games,” head coach of the Multimedia team said.

“We played just five minutes in each half of the final, which was not enough for my team. I think we will work more and I assure the whole of Multimedia Group Limited that the team will bring a trophy home in the next tournament we compete.”

The first edition of the StarTimes Corporate Cup saw 8 teams battle it out for the ultimate.

The assault left the journalist visibly bruised with part of his face swollen and his right eye teary with pain.

Narrating what had happened to Joy News, Parker said he was with the former president when he was campaigning at the Pentecost University as part of his five-day tour of the Greater Accra Region.

After speaking to the students, it was announced that the ex-president was going to meet the authorities of the university, something Parker was interested in covering.

However, one of the security details protecting the ex-president will not allow Parker and his cameraman access claiming journalists were not invited.

An attempt by Parker to explain to the security officer that he was with the ex-president and had been covering all his activities did not go down well with him.

Giving back to society: Multimedia donates to Teshie Children's Home https://www.adomonline.com/giving-back-society-multimedia-donates-teshie-childrens-home/ Thu, 18 Jan 2018 19:19:38 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=852261 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven,” says the good book.
For members of the Multimedia Group, there is no better light than helping, the needy, poor and vulnerable in the society.
It was all joy for the inmates of the Teshie Children’s Home when they tasted the benevolence of the Group and in unison, thanked the Group and glorified God for his faithfulness.
The Multimedia Group donated proceeds from its Thanksgiving service held last week Friday to the Teshie Children’s Home.
The proceeds came from hardworking men and women with gratitude, who, having been kept safe, secure and blessed with another year, decided to thank God for sustaining them and the business.
It was a thanksgiving offering for 2017 and a seed of fruitfulness for 2018 for the employees and management members all of whom attended the church service at the Victory Bible Church.
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, management decided to donate the proceeds, in cash and kind to the Teshie Orphanage.
It was a gesture to bless the underprivileged children of the Teshie Orphanage in Accra, and they undoubtedly appreciated it.
Assorted items worth thousands of cedis and an undisclosed amount of money were donated.
For Chief Human Resource Officer at the Multimedia Group, Nana Mbroh Elegba, the gesture is the first in the series of such activities.

‘For us, purely and simply, it is a direction from God. At Multimedia, our slogan is Christ at Work. So this is part of what we do. We looked around and we thought that even in the centre of the city, there will be less privileged people. A place like Osu is always in the news but you hardly hear of Teshie so we decided to come here’.

Asantehene’s wife joins Save a Child, Save a Mother fundraising campaign https://www.adomonline.com/asantehenes-wife-joins-save-child-save-mother-fundraising-campaign/ Wed, 24 May 2017 16:22:51 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=135391 The wife of Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has joined the fundraising campaign aimed at putting up a new Mother and Baby Unit for the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.

Lady Julia Osei-Tutu said she was touched by Joy News’ documentary ‘Next to die’ which captured harrowing challenges mothers and their newborns face at the Hospital.

In an interview with Joy News four days to another fundraising event scheduled at the Manhyia Palace on Sunday, she said the needless death of mothers and babies at KATH has to end.

“I do not believe there can be any heart which has not been or will not be touched by the cries of the dying babies and their mothers [at KATH],” she said.

The Sunday fundraising towards the construction of a new Mother and Baby Unit for KATH is a follow-up to an earlier one held in Accra.

The May 4, 2017 event had some major companies contributing towards the raising of an initial sum of GHS10 million for the project.

The fundraising project is spearheaded by the First Lady, Rebecca Akufo-Addo in collaboration with The Multimedia Group.

The new Uni, when completed, will have about 20 incubators and a well-fitted ventilation system.

It is expected to ease the congestion at the Mother and Baby Unit found to be responsible for the rampant deaths of mothers and their babies.

Lady Julia who is joining her husband and First Lady, Mrs Akufo-Addo to raise funds for the completion of the project has appealed to Ghanaians to make their generous contribution.

“This is an opportunity for us to respond to those cries and reduce the needless deaths,” she said.

First Lady thanks #SaveThemNow donors https://www.adomonline.com/first-lady-thanks-savethemnow-donors/ https://www.adomonline.com/first-lady-thanks-savethemnow-donors/#comments Sun, 07 May 2017 17:41:30 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=107081

The First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has extended a heartfelt message of gratitude to all those who supported her fundraising event towards the construction of a one-storey maternity block for the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

The #SaveThemNow fundraising event jointly held by The Multimedia Group and the First Lady to save babies and mothers at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) received a massive support from individuals and companies.

The event which is targeted at raising an initial GHS10 million to put up a new Mother and Baby Unit for the largest hospital in the Ashanti Region, as well as other referral hospitals, saw companies such as GHACEM, producers of cement, and Promasidor manufacturers of cowbell donating money and other items.

So far, the event spurred on by complications mothers and their newborn babies face at the Mother and Baby Unit at KATH, raised close to 85 percent of its GHS10 million target in cash, cheques and pledges.

In a show of gratitude, Mrs Akufo-Addo posted on her Facebook page last Friday thanking all those who supported her SAVE A MOTHER SAVE A CHILD project.

“I would like to say a big thank you for the support at the launch of the SAVE A MOTHER SAVE A CHILD project. Your generous contributions mean a lot, and will go a long way to help achieve our goals,” she said.

“To all individuals, churches and companies, your generous pledged support in kind and in cash are very much appreciated,” she said.

She thanked Joy News’ Seth Kwame Boateng and The Multimedia Group for “bringing this to light and putting the event together on such short notice.”

The Joys News reporter handed a copy of his documentary Special Assignment documentary ‘Next To Die’ to Mrs Akufo-Addo and Second Lady Samira Bawumia after it aired on JOYNEWS channels on MultiTV.

She revealed at the fundraising event last week that they were horrified and disturbed after watching the awful conditions at KATH.

“We saw the need to help not only because we are mothers, but because fate has put us in a position where we cannot fail to act.

“Like Esther in the Bible, we felt that God has put us in our positions for a time like this,” she said.

Seth Kwame Boateng’s documentary highlighted maternal and child deaths as a result of lack of space and logistics at the hospital.

Doctors and other stakeholders have called for the speedy completion of an abandoned 1000-bed capacity maternal block for the hospital.

On the average, about 100 women are dying on delivery beds at the KATH in Kumasi annually, while about four babies die each day, sometimes seven babies lose their lives.

Doctors say the situation has reached a crisis level as women in labour are forced to join long queues for their turn to be attended to.

“Together we can provide much-needed support and assistance to new mothers with babies in intensive care,” she said ended her Facebook post.

The First Lady has promised to extend a helping hand to other health institutions in the country struggling with the infrastructure needed to save the lives of mothers and babies.

Multimedia in 1 employee, Ȼ100 #Savethemnow campaign to help KATH https://www.adomonline.com/multimedia-1-employee-%c8%bc100-savethemnow-campaign-help-kath/ Wed, 03 May 2017 14:23:09 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=100581 The Multimedia Group has begun a one employee, one hundred Ghana cedi voluntary donation campaign as part of efforts to raise funds for the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital maternity ward.

Touched by the gripping documentary “Next to die” which captured how innocent children are born to die sometimes with their mothers at Ghana’s second biggest referral facility, hundreds of staff of the multimedia group have committed to leading by example and contributing their widows mite towards the construction of the new maternity ward.

The old ward is congested as captured in the documentary with skilled, committed health professionals struggling each day to save lives but end up watching, helplessly children dying each day before their birth or days after.

At least four children die a day through congestion at the facility.

“In a day we can lose six to seven babies. On a bad day we can lose ten in a day,” a nurse at the facility confirmed.

A visit to the hospital by a pregnant woman is more of a torturous test of faith with the woman uncertain over whether she will return home together with her baby alive. In many cases, they don’t.

The documentary arrested the emotions of men and women in high and low places, with politicians, lawyers, journalists, market women,  artisans promising to help solve the problem.

The First Lady Rebecca Akufo-Addo has joined the campaign with a fund raising event scheduled on Thursday May 4, 2017, at her Ridge office to mobilize funds for the construction of a one storey maternity ward at a cost of Ȼ10 million.

Even before the fund raising event, the staff of Multimedia have started a #Savethemnow campaign part of which will be to contribute Ȼ100.00 each and to encourage others to support and contribute.

Editor at Luv FM, Saeed Yacoub said there has been groundswell of support from individuals, workers and institutions to contribute towards building the maternity ward.

However, The Multimedia Group wishes to state that the comment by the Newsfile host was not intended to denigrate the two individuals nominated by the NPP to represent it on the show.

Below is the full statement:

This comment by the host of Newsfile seems to have hurt many people and has generated a controversy.

The intention was not to denigrate the person of those who the NPP chose to represent it on Newsfile yesterday.

The decision on who appears on any of our shows rests with the editorial team and we would stand by those decisions.

However, we apologise unreservedly for the use of words that suggest that the two gentlemen are not up to the standard.

We apologise.
