The 20-year-old has been one of Kotoko’s standout performers this season, making 21 appearances and scoring four goals since completing a four-year move from Berekum Chelsea.

Speaking about the midfielder, Makaab praised his versatility and attacking qualities.

“Obviously we believe he’s an incredibly talented player. I’ve seen him play in a few different positions, but he’s a very dynamic midfielder and has a wonderful second-range shot. That is always advantageous when you’re playing teams that have a low block and you’re having to try and do something from a distance,” Makaab said.

Gyau’s impressive displays have reportedly placed him in contention for national team consideration, with expectations he could earn a call-up for Ghana’s upcoming friendly matches against Austria and Germany next month.
