The stars, including Gentle, Osode, Big Akwes, Mike Afrani, Kala Kumasi, Adonko and Kolege have already begun to make listeners and viewers on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Friday laugh with excitement.

Appearing on the show, they promised an unforgettable experience for all patrons, with surprises and laughter in store.

Speaking to host of Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Abena Pokua Ahwenie,  the Kumawood stars revealed that this year’s event will be unlike any other.

They said tomorrow’s performance will be a surprise filled with laughter and joy.

According to them, just like last year, the event will be exceptional and will focus on pure happiness and enjoyment.

Big Akwes even joked that this year; he’ll be playing the role of the angel, adding to the excitement.

The Adom Nine Lessons and Carols promises to be a spectacular event, featuring a stellar cast of performers. The event will include breathtaking musical performances and captivating scenes.

Tickets for this musical extravaganza are priced at 50 Cedis and can be purchased by dialing 714003*3# on all networks.

Due to the high demand for tickets, patrons are encouraged to secure theirs early to avoid disappointment.

This year’s star-studded cast includes Sweet Mimi as Mary, Abrewa Mafia Nana Boakye as the gong-gong beater, Kala Kumasi as Mary’s mother, Kyinkyinaa Twan as one of the Three Wise Men, Okomfour Kollege as another Wise Man, Christiana Awuni as Joseph’s mother, Michael Afrani as Joseph, Big Akwes as the High Priest, Osoodey Body Tilapia as another Wise Man, Oboy Siki as Joseph’s father, Wayoosi as the Innkeeper, and Hakeem Shabazz as Angel Gabriel.

Gates will open at 5:00 pm, and the show will begin at 7:00 pm.

The primary goal of this fund is to raise $10 million for the extensive renovation of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

KATH, serving as a crucial referral center for 12 out of Ghana’s 16 regions, has faced challenges in providing a conducive therapeutic environment. Recognizing this, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has taken it upon himself to transform Ghana’s second-largest teaching hospital into a facility befitting its significance.

Notable Kumawood figures who graced the occasion are veteran actor, Kofi Adu popularly known as Agya Koo, the versatile actress/presenter Nana Ama McBrown, Bill Asamoah, and many others.

During the launch, the Asantehene passionately expressed his concerns about the current state of KATH, shedding light on the urgent need for improvement.

Several prominent Kumawood stars, including Nana Yeboah, Abrobe, Michael Afranie, Big Akwes, and Adanko, have made their presence felt in the constituency, aiming to bolster Mr. Quayson’s campaign and help him retain his parliamentary seat.

However, Nana B dismisses their influence, asserting that personalities such as Nicholas Omane Acheampong, Great Ampong, Diana, and Cwesi Oteng, among others, are actively engaged in an intensive campaign for the NPP.

“I have witnessed only three Kumawood actors campaigning for the NDC, and their names do not hold the same weight as those supporting the NPP. In fact, Kaakyire Kwame Appiah was present in Assin North on Sunday,” he confidently stated during an interview on Accra-based Okay FM.

On June 27, 2023, the Assin-North constituency will witness a contest between James Gyakye Quayson of the NDC and Charles Opoku of the NPP for the parliamentary seat.

Additionally, Sefanu Bernice Enyonam represents the Liberal Party of Ghana, and Abaidoo Agartha is running as an independent candidate.

In addition to the NPP’s unwavering confidence in their victory, pollster Ben Ephson has also predicted a decisive win for the NPP candidate.

Their objective is to support James Gyakye Quayson, the ousted Member of Parliament, in his bid to retain his seat.

The Kumawood stars assert that the movie industry has suffered greatly under the leadership of President Akufo-Addo, necessitating the need to back Mr Quayson.

They believe that by sending Mr Quayson back to Parliament, he will champion the enactment of favorable legislation to safeguard and revitalize the creative arts industry.

Simultaneously, Isaac Kwadwo Ampong and Nicholas Omane Acheampong have embarked on their own campaign trail within the constituency, primarily focusing on various churches.

Their aim is to rally support for Charles Opoku, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) candidate in the bye-election.

Ampong and Acheampong, both renowned gospel musicians, have taken advantage of their influence within religious circles to garner support for Mr Opoku.

They believe that his election to Parliament under the NPP banner will bring about positive change and progress for the constituency.

As the bye-election date draws nearer, the campaign efforts of these influential personalities in the entertainment and gospel music industries will likely play a significant role in shaping the outcome of the Assin North bye-election.
