The 19-year-old joins on a four-year contract from Belgian side KRC Genk, marking a significant step in his fast-rising career.

Sources close to the player suggest a return to Europe remains a future possibility, with his long-term development still a priority.

Bonsu Baah’s journey has been one of the most remarkable in recent Ghanaian football. After trial spells with European giants such as Barcelona, Manchester United, and Borussia Dortmund, his breakthrough came in March 2023 when he moved from Ghanaian third-tier club Shooting Stars to Norwegian top-tier side Sarpsborg.

Despite making just 12 appearances in Norway, his performances caught the eye of top clubs, leading to a transfer to Genk.

In Belgium, the versatile attacker featured in 90 matches across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.

His rise also earned him a call-up to Ghana’s senior national team, where he recently featured in international friendlies against Nigeria and Trinidad and Tobago.

The move to Al Qadsiah adds a new chapter to his impressive career, with the Saudi club acquiring one of Ghana’s most promising young talents.

The move is expected to become one of KRC Genk’s most lucrative departures in recent years.

The 20-year-old, who joined the Belgian outfit from Norwegian club Sarpsborg in 2023, has emerged as a prime target for Al Qadsiah.

Negotiations between both parties have reached an advanced stage, with the deal expected to be wrapped up in the coming days.

Though the final transfer fee remains undisclosed, sources suggest Genk will make a significant profit—well above the €5.2 million they initially spent to secure his services.

Bonsu Baah, who is under contract with Genk until 2028, has become a key figure for the club, featuring in 90 matches across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.

Reports also hint that the youngster could use the Saudi move as a stepping stone, potentially returning to Europe in the future to continue his development.

Earlier this year, Bonsu Baah made his debut for the Black Stars during the Unity Cup games held in London.
