The singer’s biological father, Kwabena Krah Boakye, has returned home after over 30 years of being presumed dead in Côte d’Ivoire.

The father, who travelled to seek greener pastures, was reported dead in violence after a football match between Kotoko and Asec Mimosas as far back as 1993.

But, an evening after the burial, a neighbour brought Mr Boakye home, after he asked for directions.

The astonished family confessed they mistook him for a ghost or stranger until they saw his name tattooed on his hand, and how he correctly answered some questions posed to him.

Filling them in on his life during his absence, Mr Boakye, who suffers partial amnesia, narrated how thieves robbed him and forced him to live in misery.

He added he had no option than to sleep at lorry stations in one of the border towns, until a good Samaritan spotted him.

After narrating his plight to the said woman, she agreed to help him locate his family in Ghana and paid his travel fare.

Kofi Boakye Yiadom has been described as one of those singers who define what real Ghanaian highlife should be.

To show that he knows his beans when it comes to the rudiments of the highlife genre, he lighted the music industry with the release of his well-produced hit song ‘Mmobrowa’.

The award-winning ‘Koforidua Flowers’ singer had dreams of being a legal practitioner but he chanced on music and got the support of his family.

Kofi B’s style was different and immediately won the hearts of most fans and a lot of industry players were willing to help him make it big as a singer.

Industry heavyweights Amakye Dede, Kojo Antwi as well as the late Opampuo inspired him greatly.

Although a newcomer with a lot of promise, it was his recordings with Ofori Amponsah, who was already a household name which helped him shoot through the roof.

Hot Audio: ‘Captain Mahama’s murder is spiritual’ https://www.adomonline.com/hot-audio-captain-mahamas-murder-spiritual/ https://www.adomonline.com/hot-audio-captain-mahamas-murder-spiritual/#comments Tue, 30 May 2017 17:27:29 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=143311 Renowned Ghanaian hip-life musician, Kofi B, known in real life as Eric Kofi Boakye Yiadom has said lynching of a military office, Captain Maxwell Mahama is spiritual.

He explained that, his death[Maxwell] was planned in the spiritual realm but the mob was used to accomplish the mission the physically.

The late Captain Maxwell Mahama was killed at Denkyira Obuasi in the Upper Denkyira West District of the Central region on suspicion of being an armed robber.

Captain Mahama, who is the commander of the area military detachment according to his subordinates, was seen jogging along the main road and as he stopped by to ask some women for directions, the women saw a pistol on him.

The women who were alarmed by the discovery of the pistol on Captain Mahama mistook him for an armed robber thereby alerting their assembly member who allegedly organized some men to fatally lynch him and even burnt him in the process.

But speaking in an exclusive interview on Adom FM’s ‘Work and Happiness’ with show host Ohemaa Woyeje, Kofi B said the brutal killing is not normal.

“The soldier was murdered by the mob. Some people might think it is a normal physical happening. But one might be surprised to know it has a spiritual backing. Some people might want you dead but might use such means to operate to level the implications…” he said.

He indicated everyone can be a culprit in such matters hence it is only the fear of God that can save one out of such occurrences.

He, however, condemned the actions of the residents and urged Ghanaians to pray against such evil acts from happening in the country.

“With this, I think we should be afraid of God on the daily since it can happen to anyone at any time. We are all subjected to such things. We should fear God and pray such never happens anymore. I don’t understand. How can people even do that…?” he queried.
