“The suspects who have been investigated are Percival Kofi Akpaloo, Pomaah Universal (Gh.) Ltd, and Delvine Akpaloo, the spouse of Percival Kofi Akpaloo. The evidence shows that they engaged in various criminal offences, including stealing, forgery and money laundering, and will be charged by my office in January,” Dr Ayine stated.

The announcement follows investigations into suspected financial impropriety linked to a COCOBOD feeder roads contract.

Addressing the media, the Attorney-General explained that the case came to light after the Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) detected unusual transactions on an account belonging to Pomaa Universal Ghana Limited, a company associated with Mr Akpaloo. The FIC subsequently filed a suspicious transaction report with First Bank Ghana Limited.

“Following the report, the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) commenced investigations into the matter,” he said.

According to Dr Ayine, investigations established that the legitimate contractor awarded the feeder roads project by COCOBOD was Pomaa Universal Ghana Limited, a company solely owned by a woman identified as Akua Pomaa. The GH¢29 million contract was awarded in December 2022, and initial payments were duly made to the rightful company.

However, he noted that subsequent financial dealings raised red flags, including allegations of misrepresentation, forgery and the unauthorised handling of cheques.

Dr Ayine disclosed that Mr Akpaloo allegedly went on to register a second company with an almost identical name — Pomaa Universal Ghana Limited — deliberately adding the letter “H” to create a subtle distinction.

“Between December 2022 and June 2024, he collected eight cheques issued by COCOBOD in the name of the original and authentic Pomaa Universal Ghana Limited, totalling GH¢3.1 million, and deposited them into an account belonging to the company he had created,” the Attorney-General revealed.

He further stated that Akua Pomaa was unaware of the existence of the second company or the diversion of funds until June 2024, when COCOBOD contacted her regarding outstanding balances on the contract.

Dr Ayine said the case underscores the government’s commitment to safeguarding public funds and ensuring accountability in the management of public contracts.

Kofi Akpaloo defends his integrity amidst EOCO’s probe [Audio] https://www.adomonline.com/kofi-akpaloo-defends-his-integrity-amidst-eocos-probe-audio/ Fri, 12 Sep 2025 10:26:28 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2577698 Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has dismissed allegations of financial crimes against him, describing the Economic and Organised Crime Office’s (EOCO) probe as politically motivated and an attempt to tarnish his image.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, Mr. Akpaloo confirmed that he was granted a GH¢10 million bail but was unable to meet the surety requirements, which kept him in detention last week.

He disclosed that EOCO officials escorted him to Ayomsuo at dawn on Monday to inspect a feeder road project he executed under one of his contracts.

“We toured the entire stretch from Kyenkyehene Junction through Kutuase and back to Kumaho. Even the EOCO officials were impressed because the local people gave testimony that the road was well constructed,” he recounted.

Akpaloo stressed that the project, carried out four years ago, was fully funded with his own resources and not government funds.

“The government has not paid me in full. The little money I received, I used to buy chippings and start the first coat of coaltar. I haven’t been able to buy the bitumen yet because I haven’t been paid. How can they accuse me of causing financial loss to the state?” he questioned.

The LPG leader further stated that no formal charges have been filed against him, insisting that the ongoing investigations into alleged money laundering, forgery, and misapplication of funds are politically driven.

“I have provided all the necessary information. Even the feeder road officers and assembly members can testify that I did the work and did it well. My arrest and the entire probe is just to please their grassroots,” he alleged.

He also revealed that he had started building a school in Kutuase to support children who travel long distances for education, but the project stalled due to lack of funds.

Mr. Akpaloo was released from custody on Thursday, September 11, 2025, following his arrest on September 3. EOCO is yet to issue a formal statement on the outcome of its investigations.

I spoke out of pain; I’m sorry – Akpaloo apologises over helicopter crash comment https://www.adomonline.com/i-spoke-out-of-pain-im-sorry-akpaloo-apologises-over-helicopter-crash-comment/ Fri, 08 Aug 2025 16:58:25 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2565148 Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has issued a heartfelt apology to Ghanaians and the bereaved families of the eight victims of the August 6, 2025, military helicopter crash in the Adansi Akrofuom District.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen after facing public criticism over his earlier remarks, Mr. Akpaloo admitted his comments were ill-timed and hurtful, explaining they were made in a moment of deep emotional distress.

“I am not happy at all, and I feel terrible that my comments caused pain to many people and families. I am sincerely sorry and ask for their forgiveness,” he said.

He revealed that the tragedy struck him personally, as one of the victims, Defence Minister Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, was a close associate.

“My brother Omane Boamah is not someone I can betray. I was devastated when I heard of his passing. My reaction came from the pain of knowing that people are dying almost every day in this country, and we seem to have normalised it.

“We have lost many through road accidents, and yet we don’t value lives enough. That frustration and sorrow are what came out in my words,” Mr. Akpaloo clarified.

The crash claimed the lives of Dr. Boamah and seven others, including Environment Minister Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed.

Also among the deceased were Acting Deputy National Security Coordinator Muniru Mohammed, former parliamentary candidate Samuel Aboagye, NDC Vice Chairman Samuel Sarpong, and three Air Force personnel: Squadron Leader Peter Bafemi Anala, Flying Officer Manin Twum-Ampadu, and Sergeant Ernest Addo Mensah.

The Z-9 helicopter was en route to Obuasi when it lost radar contact, prompting a swift military search. Investigations are ongoing following the recovery of the aircraft’s black box.

The remains of the victims have been transported to South Africa for forensic DNA analysis.

Tsatsu Tsikata sues Kofi Akpaloo for defamation https://www.adomonline.com/tsatsu-tsikata-sues-kofi-akpaloo-for-defamation/ Thu, 05 Dec 2024 05:48:08 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2479402 Tsatsu Tsikata, a private legal practitioner (plaintiff), has sued Kofi Akpaloo, (1st Defendant) the Presidential Candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) for defamation.

Mr Akpaloo was joined in the suit with Excellence In Broadcasting (EIB) Network, the owner of GHOne Television (2nd Defendant), as the second defendant for allowing Mr Akpaloo to use its network to make false claims against him.

The Plaintiff in his statement of claim said Mr Akpaloo, the first defendant, in an interview on GHOne on November 19, 2024, as part of his Presidential campaign claimed that the reason Mr Tsikata said in an interview that things were better in the country under President Mahama than currently was that “he was getting contracts under Mahama” and “he was getting the best deals.”

Mr Tsatsu, who served as Chief Executive of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation, said Mr Akpaloo further indicated that “those who were getting the goodies” would be the ones saying what Mr Tsikata had said about President Mahama.

The plaintiff said the above-quoted words of Mr Akpaloo about him on GHOne was false and lowered his esteem in the eyes of right-thinking members of the society.

He said in their natural and ordinary meaning the above-quoted statements of Akpaloo published by the GHOne meant, and were understood to mean, that the plaintiff was only making the assessment he made about President Mahama because “he was getting contracts under Mahama”, “he was getting the best deals” and he was among “those who were getting the goodies” under form President Mahama.

Mr Tsikata said in their natural and ordinary meaning these words portrayed the plaintiff as a person whose views were tainted by sheer self-interest, thus lowering the esteem of the Ppaintiff in the eyes of right-thinking members of the society.

“In their natural and ordinary meaning these words portray the Plaintiff as a person who obtained favours under President Mahama and whose opinion cannot, therefore, be trusted,” he said.

He said the above-quoted words of Akpaloo on the television station of GHOne were egregious falsehoods against him and impacted negatively on his hard-won reputation.

The plaintiff, therefore sought an order of mandatory injunction requiring Defendants to cause to be published similarly to how the defamatory statements were published an apology to him and a withdrawal and retraction of the said words of Akpaloo about him.

He also sought an order of mandatory injunction requiring GHOne 2nd to affix onto the publication of the interview of the Akpaloo above referred to on its website and other social media handles, its apology and the withdrawal and retraction of the false statements of Akpaloo about him.

He also sought punitive costs against Akpaloo.

I know I am the next President of Ghana – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/i-know-i-am-the-next-president-of-ghana-kofi-akpaloo/ Mon, 02 Dec 2024 16:10:32 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2478172 Flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, is confident about winning the 2024 elections and forming the next government on January 7, 2025.

In an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday, Mr. Akpaloo said even some pastors have predicted victory for other parties, but he believes the ultimate winner is himself.

“I know I am the next president of Ghana. The message we are bringing is different from what other political parties are offering. This election, everyone will be shocked.  The Lord has already said it in heaven.

“Angels will make you dream about me, and the Holy Spirit will speak to people in their dreams, urging them to change their minds and vote for me.”

Mr. Akpaloo therefore urged voters to look beyond the traditional appeal of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

He believes his policies offer a transformative vision for Ghana.

“I am winning this year’s elections, and nothing will stop me. Forget about the numerical strength of the NDC and NPP. This election is mine” he said.

With just six days to go before the December 7 elections, Mr. Akpaloo urged Ghanaians to make the right choice for a brighter future.

Reprint presidential ballot without Akua Donkor’s image – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/reprint-presidential-ballot-without-akua-donkors-image-kofi-akpaloo/ Wed, 13 Nov 2024 15:30:18 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2471532 The flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has called on the Electoral Commission (EC) to reprint the presidential ballot papers for the 2024 elections.

He cited concerns over the inclusion of the late Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) candidate, Akua Donkor.

Mr. Akpaloo argues that featuring Akua Donkor’s image on the ballot could influence the election’s outcome.

He suggests that if the GFP had nominated a new candidate, the EC would have reprinted the ballots to reflect the update.

Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, November 13, Mr. Akpaloo stressed that reprinting the ballots would protect the election’s integrity and prevent confusion among voters.

“Having Akua Donkor’s image on the ballot will cause issues nationwide,” he said.

“People might vote for her despite her passing. How will these votes be counted? Are we going to disregard votes cast for her, or will they factor into the percentages?”

“We don’t want a situation where a candidate disputes the results based on these percentages. We urge the EC to reprint the ballots without Akua Donkor’s image to avoid this potential conflict,” he added.

Kofi Akpaloo demands apology from Mahama https://www.adomonline.com/kofi-akpaloo-demands-apology-from-mahama/ Mon, 14 Oct 2024 15:55:14 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2460287 The flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) has expressed displeasure with former President John Mahama’s remarks regarding the disqualification of the People’s National Convention (PNC) candidate, Bernard Mornah from the December presidential race.

In an interview with JoyNews, Mr Kofi Akpaloo described Mr Mahama’s remarks as ‘disrespectful.’

Mr Akpaloo demanded a retraction and an apology, arguing that the NDC flagbearer had unfairly suggested that some candidates were undeserving to be on the ballot.

“It is unfortunate for a whole former president of this country to make such comments. How can you classify some of us as unworthy? Who is he [Bernard Mornah] and is he better than some of us?” he questioned.

Mr Akpaloo’s comments were in response to the NDC flagbearer, who criticized the Electoral Commission’s decision to disqualify the PNC from the upcoming 2024 election in what appears to be a show of support for Mr Mornah.

Speaking at a rally in Wa, in the Upper West Region, Mr Mahama claimed that the PNC candidate was more deserving of a place on the ballot than some of the candidates who were approved.

He also accused the EC of deliberately sidelining the PNC candidate.

“The PNC is a more worthy party than several parties that I see on the ballot paper, but that is the issue with the EC, sometimes they are discriminatory because there are some people on this ballot paper who Bernard Mornah qualifies more to be here than them,” he said.

But the LPG flagbearer questioned whether Mr Mahama would have gotten to his level if he had to start his party.

“He [Mahama] should just count his stars, he happens to be the leader of the NDC and has been given the opportunity to be president of this country before. He should respect himself.

“Who amongst the 13 is not worthy to be on the ballot? Has he taken time to glance through Bernard Mornah’s form to see the anomalies? He can’t use such words on us. Is it because Akua Donkor is there? Or myself or Kofi Koranteng or Nana Bediako or Ayariga or Alan Kyerematen, who is unworthy? He can’t use that statement on us and he should withdraw it as soon as possible and apologise,” he said.

Meanwhile, in reaction to his disqualification by the EC, Mr Mornah has filed a lawsuit seeking his reinstatement.

The presidential candidates of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) and the Yellow Ghana Movement have all sued the EC over their disqualification. They were among the 11 disqualified candidates.

Organised Labour’s galamsey-induced nationwide strike politically inspired – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/organised-labours-galamsey-induced-nationwide-strike-politically-inspired-kofi-akpaloo/ Tue, 08 Oct 2024 08:31:25 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2457936 The Presidential candidate for the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has claimed that the planned nationwide strike by organised labour against illegal mining, commonly known as galamsey, is politically motivated.

Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM on Monday, Mr Akpaloo questioned the motivations behind the strike, which he believes goes beyond concerns over the environmental damage caused by galamsey.

He suggested that, the protest is timed and designed to serve political interests rather than addressing the real issues associated with illegal mining.

Mr Akpaloo argued that, the actions of Organised Labour seem more focused on advancing a political agenda than safeguarding Ghana’s natural resources.

He also raised doubts about the sincerity of the labour leadership, suggesting their decisions might be influenced by political forces aimed at undermining the current government.

He further expressed concern that the strike, given its proximity to upcoming elections, could heighten tensions in an already charged political environment.

Kofi Akpaloo urged labour leaders to seek constructive dialogue instead of engaging in confrontational actions, highlighting the potential consequences of their approach.

Postpone strike, focus on long-term solutions to galamsey – Akpaloo tells Organised Labour https://www.adomonline.com/postpone-strike-focus-on-long-term-solutions-to-galamsey-akpaloo-tells-organised-labour/ Mon, 07 Oct 2024 09:54:21 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2457467 The flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has urged Organised Labour to reconsider its planned nationwide strike, set to begin on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

Organised Labour announced the indefinite strike in response to the government’s failure to meet demands for stronger measures against illegal mining, or “galamsey.”

The labour unions have expressed frustration with the government’s approach, calling for a state of emergency, the revocation of L.I. 2462, and military intervention in forest areas and water bodies to curb environmental destruction.

In an interview with Citi News, Mr Akpaloo emphasized that the strike is ill-timed, especially with elections around the corner.

He encouraged labour unions to engage in dialogue with the government rather than resort to drastic measures.

“Leading such actions just two months before an election suggests you want the government to fall,” he stated.

“I aspire to be president, but not by capitalizing on someone’s downfall. I want to lead with a positive mindset, in peace.

“Forget about this strike for now. If the problem persists after the election, we can address it. But rushing into a strike now, only for the government to send in the army without lasting solutions, won’t help. Take the time to sit down and resolve the issue properly,” he added.

Kofi Akpaloo promises ban on poultry, rice imports to support local farmers https://www.adomonline.com/kofi-akpaloo-promises-ban-on-poultry-rice-imports-to-support-local-farmers/ Sun, 06 Oct 2024 09:12:45 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2457284 Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has announced his government’s intention to ban the importation of poultry and rice within six months of taking office.

The move is aimed at boosting the local agricultural sector and supporting Ghanaian farmers.

In an interview on Asempa FM, Akpaloo emphasized that agriculture is a key sector of the economy, and his government would prioritize significant investments to increase production.

He outlined plans to identify and heavily invest in about ten of the best local poultry farmers, allowing them to scale up their operations.

Large-scale buyers would be encouraged to source their products from these selected farmers, with the added incentive of competitive pricing and subsidies for those who purchase locally.

Akpaloo stressed that this initiative would not only strengthen local farming but also reduce the reliance on foreign imports, which in turn would alleviate pressure on the dollar and strengthen the cedi.

He also expressed his determination to prevent foreign businesses from dominating Ghana’s market. Specifically, he mentioned that foreign entities like China Mall, Melcom, and large supermarkets tend to flood the market with excess foreign goods, which undermines local production.

To address this, Akpaloo proposed that all items sold in these major shops would be required to be locally produced.

Over time, he suggested that these foreign-run businesses would be shut down and taken over by Ghanaians, creating jobs and wealth for the people of Ghana.

His plan is aimed at reshaping Ghana’s economy to be more self-sufficient, with a strong focus on local production and job creation.

NDC’s call for forensic audit of voter register a waste of time – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/ndcs-call-for-forensic-audit-of-voter-register-a-waste-of-time-kofi-akpaloo/ Tue, 01 Oct 2024 16:00:49 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2455402 Flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has dismissed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) call for a forensic audit of the 2024 voters register, describing it as futile and unfeasible.

He pointed out that with less than three months until the December 7 elections, the Electoral Commission (EC) lacks the time needed to carry out such an extensive audit.

The NDC has been advocating for the audit, alleging that the voter register is inflated with ineligible individuals.

However, speaking at an Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra on Tuesday, October 1, Mr Akpaloo urged the NDC to reconsider its demand, arguing that it would divert attention from critical election preparations.

“We have roughly 65 days until the elections, and the EC is expected to audit the register within 60 days. How can we conduct a forensic audit across 275 constituencies, 40,000 polling stations, and 18 million voters in such a short time? Who will manage this in under 60 days? NDC, this request will not benefit anyone.”

Mr Akpaloo also defended the EC, downplaying the NDC’s claims that the register is filled with ghost names, asserting that it would not affect the election outcome.

“Remember, this is a biometric register—no dead person can rise from the grave to vote. Even if there are deceased individuals on the register, it will not impact the results. This request was ill-conceived and has wasted everyone’s time” he stated.

Mr. Akpaloo commended the EC’s work, rejecting claims of human error and emphasizing that the commission has proven its competence.

Government projects are not free money, I borrow to execute them – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/government-projects-are-not-free-money-i-borrow-to-execute-them-kofi-akpaloo/ Fri, 30 Aug 2024 23:38:02 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2441929 Kofi Akpaloo, the Presidential candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), has strongly refuted claims that he receives government contracts for free.

In a recent interview on Hitz FM’s Cruise Control with Mercury Quaye, Akpaloo clarified that, contrary to popular belief, he often has to secure loans to execute the projects he undertakes.

“I am not a criminal, but I am a businessman,” Akpaloo stated firmly. “Nobody gave me money to supply, so I had to borrow money from the commercial bank to execute the project.”

Akpaloo emphasized that obtaining a government contract does not mean immediate access to funds from the government or any agency.

He pointed out that there is a misconception that once a project is awarded, the recipient receives financial support upfront.

“People think the moment you get the project, it would mean the government or agency has given you money to supply or thrive,” Akpaloo explained.

“No, it’s not like that. I have to borrow my own money to supply, and even then, I have to hustle to get paid or even recover my money.”

He expressed frustration over the challenges he faces in securing payment after funding the projects himself, underscoring that the process is far from straightforward.

In addition, Akpaloo cautioned individuals against spreading misinformation, urging them to ensure they have accurate facts before making public statements.

“He doesn’t know what he is talking about. He should have his facts right before he concludes. They should go and do those findings before they say anything they do not know,” he asserted.

His comment came in response to the Chief Executive Officer of the Consumer Protection Agency, Kofi Kapito, who said Mr. Akpaloo had no manifesto.

Kapito remarked, “Politicians will always say things in their manifesto but do not fulfill their promises.”

Mr. Akpaloo refuted Kapito’s claim, insisting, “We have a better manifesto than all the other parties, and LPG is not a small party for people to challenge us.”

He further noted that, “Our manifesto is titled ‘Better Tomorrow,’ and after the elections, we will shock Ghanaians.”

Kofi Akpaloo also promised to implement a policy to provide every child with a monthly stipend of 500 cedis.

“I will not say we will win the elections because the race is clearly between the NPP candidate, Kwabena Boateng, and Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, but we can pull a surprise in the sense that our votes will shock people.

“I can say that the majority have made up their minds to vote for the LPG candidate,” he said in an interview on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Tuesday.

Kofi Akpaloo also dismissed rumours of election rigging, noting that, it is impossible to rig the election, especially with the biometric database in place.

“When it comes to an election like this, there will be several allegations going around but I have not seen anything like that. There is no way anyone can rig the elections. If you believe that then you don’t understand the system, especially because we have a biometric database, it is difficult to rig the elections.”

Six individuals are contesting the election, NPP candidate, Kwabena Boateng, and Kwabena Owusu Aduomi, a former NPP MP who is now running as an independent candidate.

The other candidates are Esther Osei (CPP), Beatrice Boakye (LPG), Gabriel Agyemang Joseph (Independent), and Attakorah Joseph (Independent).

According to him, the NDC has disrespected the people of the Volta region who have always been loyal to them and contributed to their success in elections.

Mr. Akpaloo in a panel discussion on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Thursday, stated that, despite the support from Voltarians, the region has not benefited much from the NDC when in government.

“The NDC has disrespected people from the Volta region. They didn’t even consider a Voltarian for running mate. Everywhere in Ghana where NDC wins, Voltarians have voted for them. The contribution of Voltarians shouldn’t be overlooked. NDC shouldn’t neglect Voltarians. Voltarians contribute to the NDC’s success, they are everywhere and they vote for the NDC. But the Volta region cannot boast of anything that the NDC has done for them,” he fumed.

Ghana is better than other countries – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/ghana-is-better-than-other-countries-kofi-akpaloo/ Wed, 31 Jan 2024 16:29:59 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2349983 The Transparency International Corruption Perception Index indicates that, there has been no progress in the Anti-Corruption Campaign in Ghana over the last four years.

The index for 2023 indicates that, Ghana’s stagnant score of 43 out of 100 reflects a broader global trend of failed justice systems, providing fertile ground for corruption to persist.

Reacting to this on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Kofi Akpaloo, the Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) said Ghanaians should shift their attention from the corruption index and concentrate on strategies for the country’s development.

“We shouldn’t happy painting ourselves black to the world. What is more important is how we are going to make this country a better place,” he said.

Mr. Kofi Akpaloo also argued that, Ghana is a better country compared to others in terms of living conditions.

“I went to Ivory Coast and bought fuel for 17 cedis 50 pesewas but we are complaining in Ghana that fuel is expensive that is 12 cedis. If you are in Ghana, you don’t appreciate the country though there are some financial crisis in the country. Ghana is far better than so many places. It’s not easy in other countries too but at least you can manage in Ghana, other countries is worse,” he said.

According to him, LPG is currently the third force in the political space and will win the election with a strategy that will beat the imagination of all.

He revealed this on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesda, stating he had a dream about his landslide victory.

Mr Akpaloo expressed confidence this will come to pass as he touted himself as someone whose dreams always manifest.

“I dreamt that someone had hit my daughter’s head with a stick and she died. I was in the US by then and three days later, my mum called me and I ask if my daughter had died. She was shocked as to how I got to know,” he said.

He claimed he has over the years had dreams about every election in the country from Rawlings to Akufo-Addo’s administration.

“I am in for real business in 2024 and will win the election. As to how that will happen, I don’t even know but God works in mysterious ways and it will happen live,” he declared.

I’ll gift Special Prosecutor $100K if … – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/ill-gift-special-prosecutor-100k-if-kofi-akpaloo/ Tue, 05 Dec 2023 20:05:36 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2328419 Founder of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has announced he will gift the Special Prosecutor, Kissi Agyebeng, $100,000.

The money according to him, will be Mr Agyebeng’s reward if he successfully arrests and jails the persons declared wanted for vote buying.

Mr Akpaloo made this promise on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, stating he will have no reason to back down on it.

“If the Special Prosecutor is able to arrest, prosecute and jail the six people and the candidates who gave the money, I will give him $100,000 to just enjoy,” he said.

Mr Agyebeng on Sunday declared six people wanted for allegedly engaging in vote buying at various polling stations in the just ended New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries in orphan constituencies.

Despite widely circulated videos of delegates displaying stacks of banknotes they allegedly received from aspirants, the NPP has said they are not aware.

A Deputy General Secretary, Mohammed Haruna, has therefore challenged the Special Prosecutor to provide further evidence beyond the social media videos.

But Mr Akpaloo has said Mr Agyebeng’s move is in the right direction and he must be supported to curb the phenomena.

“Vote buying is serious affecting us. We are not getting the right people in the country to lead because of money. It will save this country serious from the negative publicity,” he added.

This, according to him, is because he failed to safeguard the welfare of residents who have been affected by the spillage of the Akosombo dam.

He made these remarks on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday, stating the Energy Minister must also not be left off the hook.

“Heads must roll, and the VRA boss should have resigned by now. In any serious jurisdiction, the Energy Minister should have also resigned. Look at the devastation caused to people. They cannot tell us they didn’t know they would spill this amount of water to have put in place proactive measures. Protecting the dam doesn’t mean people should suffer,” he fumed.

Mr Akpaloo emphasised that it is time people were held responsible for their actions to serve as a deterrent.

“We are just not responsible people because VRA should have prepared way ahead of time when they realised the consistent rain was increasing the water volume,” he stated.

However, he said he was grateful to God that no lives have been lost despite the loss of properties and sources of livelihood.

Background

VRA has been in the news in the past few days after the spillways of the Akosombo Dam were opened and its waters were directed downstream.

The havoc trailing the safety measure has so far proven incalculable.

The spillage of excess water commenced on September 15, due to rising levels of the Akosombo and Kpong hydro dams.

Currently, residents in nine districts along the Lower Volta Basin are devastated due t o the floods as inhabitants are caught up in an unrelenting humanitarian crisis.

Thousands of people living in the South, Central, and North Tongu districts of the Volta Region have been displaced, along with the loss of property running into millions of cedis.

Leaked tape probe: Dampare only guilty of doing his job – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/leaked-tape-probe-dampare-only-guilty-of-doing-his-job-kofi-akpaloo/ Wed, 13 Sep 2023 11:34:39 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2293683 Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, says the only crime the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. George Akuffo Dampare has committed is sticking to his principles.

According to him, it is normal for some police officers to disagree with the way the police chief is running the Service.

Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Wednesday, Mr. Akpaloo commended the IGP for changing the status quo.

“The IGP after assuming office said he was going to bring changes and now some are not pleased about these changes. He is doing everything to bring sanity, that’s his only problem,” he said.

The LGP leader said the majority of people have issues with Dr. Dampare because they are not disciplined.

“The IGP has arrested many people including myself before. I was arrested for reckless driving and was sent to court. I was not angry because I’ve lived abroad before and if you’re arrested there, you follow their instructions. The problem we have in Africa is that we don’t follow rules. When an African goes outside, they will never drive without a license,” he added.

On the work of the committee, Kofi Akpaloo said it is a waste time and money.

“Everyone has people conspiring or gossiping against them. It is a waste of Parliament’s time and state money. They did not say they will stage a coup, or forcefully remove the IGP. Have they flaunted any police rules?” he quizzed.

During his campaign tour in the Volta region, Dr Akpaloo outlined his vision and plans for the country, emphasising the importance of providing financial support to Ghanaian children.

Dr Akpaloo highlighted that it is feasible to allocate a monthly salary of GHS 500 to every Ghanaian child below the age of 18, while those above 18 years who are not employed will receive 700 cedis.

He cited that his own children in the UK are benefiting from such support, and he aims to implement a similar system in Ghana.

The presidential hopeful believes that providing every child with a monthly salary will not only benefit families but also boost businesses and stimulate the economy. He envisions that parents will receive additional financial support from their children, leading to increased economic activity and more money circulating within the country.

In addition to the child support program, Mr Akpaloo also promised to create job opportunities for the youth by building factories in the Volta region. This initiative aims to address the issue of unemployment and empower young people with valuable skills and income-generating opportunities.

Furthermore, he expressed his commitment to supporting local farmers and promoting self-sufficiency by banning the importation of rice and frozen chicken. He pledged to provide financial assistance to empower local farmers to increase productivity and contribute to the growth of the agricultural sector.

Reacting to the theft of former Sanitation Minister, Cecilia Dapaah’s money on the Wednesday edition of the Dwaso Nsem show, he said bank officials ‘intimidate’ persons who come in to withdraw huge amounts through their lengthy cash withdrawal procedures.

He further stated that some bank officials allegedly tip off robbers with details of customers with large account balances.

“Bank of Ghana has made the withdrawing cash process lengthy. It is frustrating individuals so people are forced to keep their monies at home. Who in Ghana does not have money at home? It’s just that some have more than others. There must be a review of the strict money transaction processes.”

He also said that part of the money may be funeral contributions and her husband, an experienced architect, and former ambassador.

The office of the Attorney General has received dockets from the police of the alleged theft of millions of foreign and local currencies by two housekeepers of Madam Dapaah and her husband.

Deputy Attorney General, Alfred Tuah Yeboah, stated that the move was to seek advise and review of the case and not to probe the source of the former minister’s source of wealth.

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) arrested and searched the Cantonments and Abelemkpe houses of Madam Dapaah after receiving over 200 petitions, she was later released.

It was disclosed that the officials of the OSP stumbled on ‘something significant’ after the search and relatives of the minister will be brought in for interrogation.

LPG mobilises to break NPP, NDC duopoly https://www.adomonline.com/lpg-mobilises-to-break-npp-ndc-duopoly/ Wed, 07 Sep 2022 15:13:11 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2160141 The Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) has commenced a nationwide membership mobilisation to position the party as the best alternative to break the duopoly of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to win the 2024 polls.

The move is also to ensure that the party structures are put in readiness to spread the news about the party’s policies and programmes to bring the country out of the current economic hardships.

The Founder and 2020 Presidential Candidate of LPG, Percival Kofi Akpaloo, who was speaking after the first tour of some regions, noted that Ghanaians had had enough of the NPP and the NDC and had come to the conclusion that their best bet was the LPG.

He said the party decided after the 2020 polls not to wait till the election year before embarking on a nationwide campaign and restructuring to ensure that the party structures were activated and sustained.

Internal

He noted that while the team was moving from one place to the other, it was also putting in place strategies to ensure that it would be able to have officers for various communities, polling stations, constituencies and regions before holding internal elections for national leaders.

“We are overwhelmed by the reception and enthusiasm of Ghanaians when they see the remobilisation team. Our messages resonate with them and we are convinced that with a little hard work, Ghanaians will give us the mandate to implement our policies and programmes,” he added.

Mr Akpaloo said there was every indication that the ordinary Ghanaian was looking for an alternative, adding that they had also realised that the LPG’s policies were the best to liberate their potential and make the current economic situation a thing of the past.

He said because Ghanaians were desperate for a change and considered the LPG as the best alternative, the party would work assiduously to ensure that the LPG message was sustained throughout the country.

He indicated the party’s policy of building 1.2 million housing units meant to offer affordable housing while increasing investment and employment in the housing industry.

He also said increased investment in sports, skills training and agriculture would be implemented.

He added that the LPG had the best blueprint to address the carnage on the country’s roads, improve public transport and make energy affordable and reliable to boost economic activities and engender economic progress.

Ghana Card

Touching on the issue of using the Ghana Card as the only source document for the continuous registration of voters, Mr Akpaloo welcomed the suggestion by the Electoral Commission (EC), noting that the era of putting together voters register after every election must cease.

He said he agreed with the position that the various laws enacted for the registration and use of the Ghana Card spoke of using it for voter registration, among others, because the card had proven to be a reliable document.

He, therefore, called for measures to expedite action to ensure that those who had registered and not received their cards were sorted out while more avenues were created for others, especially those who had attained 18 years, to get their cards without any hindrances.

Kofi Akpaloo offers solution to Ghana’s economic woes https://www.adomonline.com/kofi-akpaloo-offers-solution-to-ghanas-economic-woes/ Wed, 06 Apr 2022 21:50:02 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2101557 The flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, says he has the antidote to Ghana’s economic woes.

In his view, the solution to post COVID-19 economic recovery is for the Akufo-Addo government to borrow more.

Mr. Akpaloo made the comment while reacting to plans by government to resuscitate the economy on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Wednesday.

Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, announced measures put in place to boost the economy.

Amongst them were expenditure cuts, intense revenue mobilisation drive, fuel price mitigation and currency financing.

He did not mention plans to borrow more since Ghana’s total public debt stock stood at about ¢344.5 billion as of November 2021 – a situation experts have described as alarming.

Mr. Ofori-Atta is confident the measures announced will help cushion Ghanaians bearing the brunt of the economic downturn.

Reacting to this, Kofi Akpaloo said though the measures announced are a step in the right direction, there is the need for government to borrow more.

However, instead of going to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), he proposed government borrows from the Bank of Ghana.

“We don’t need any white man to tell us what to do. We can change this country on our own,” Mr. Akpaloo stressed.

The presidential hopeful explained that, owing a state bank will not put any restriction on government on how to spend the money and interest payment.

The LPG founder described Ghana’s current debt as peanuts since the debt stock of many developed countries including USA is worse.

Mr. Akpaloo stated unequivocally that, should he become President, his government will borrow more to expand the country’s economy.

CDD’s survey: Majority of respondents were NDC members – Kofi Akpaloo claims https://www.adomonline.com/cdds-survey-majority-of-respondents-were-ndc-members-kofi-akpaloo-claims/ Sat, 04 Sep 2021 10:49:11 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2010090

Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LGP), Kofi Akpaloo, has downplayed the impact of recent post-election survey conducted by the Centre for Democratic Governance (CDD-Ghana).

He claimed the findings of the research is not a true reflection on the ground because of the sampling used.

The CDD survey found among other things that, 62 percent of Ghanaians are not confident the Akufo-Addo government can fight corruption.

This has been challenged by the ruling New Patriotic Patriotic Party which maintained that, its government has done more than enough to fight corruption in the country.

In support, Kofi Akpaloo said President Nana Akufo-Addo deserves commendation for the measures taken to nip corruption in the bud.

He is, however, was not surprised at the findings of the CDD-Ghana post-election survey since according to him, “majority of respondents belong to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

“How can you do a survey with just 2000 people and conclude that Akufo-Addo is not fighting corruption? Well, I’m not surprised because 62 percent of the respondents are NDC members.”

The LPG leader said if the CDD was serious about its survey, it would have interviewed about 200, 000 people “if they wanted to do a balanced work.”

Kofi Akpaloo gives interesting twist to presidential travels [Audio] https://www.adomonline.com/kofi-akpaloo-gives-interesting-twist-to-presidential-travels-audio/ Fri, 03 Sep 2021 19:09:09 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2010087 Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LGP), Kofi Akpaloo, has given an interesting perspective to what many have described as expensive foreign travels of President Akufo-Addo.

Mr Akpaloo said most of the flights chartered for the President were among the cheapest in the world.

The failed presidential hopeful was reacting to concerns raised by Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa about the decision to spend taxpayers’ money to fund the “expensive travels” of President Akufo-Addo.

He could not fathom why the President has consistently abandoned the presidential aircraft which was used by three former Presidents.

In a Facebook post, the North Tongu legislator claimed the state rented the Airbus ACJ320neo owned by Acropolis Aviation for £15,000 an hour during each foreign travel by Akufo-Addo.

Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa has since filed an urgent question in Parliament demanding answers from the state.

But, Kofi Akpaloo on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday said the issue being raised by Okudzeto is for “cheap populism”.

According to him, it is an established fact that all the travels of the President are not for comfort but in the interest of the state.

“President Akufo-Addo has always brought back huge aid to Ghana. Even the recent one to Germany, he was able to get COVID-19 vaccines which are in short supply across the world so what else does Okudzeto want,” he quizzed.

The LPG leader said he would have spent much more for his travels as President because he does not compromise on security.

“This issue raised by Okudzeto Ablakwa is just to court bad press for the President since workers are already agitating. Let’s stop these cheap politics” he fumed.

Kofi Akpaloo said he will support the state to rent an aircraft for presidential travels if Ghana’s presidential jet is not in a good state.

The Criminal Division of the Accra High Court, Wednesday morning, granted bail with two sureties to convicted actress born Rosemond Brown.

In addition to the bail she is to report to the case investigator every two weeks and hand over her passport to the registrar of the court.

This, Kofi Akpaloo has expressed disappointment over, saying the convict should have been made to serve her full sentence.

Kofi Akpaloo

Not only will Poloo’s sentencing serve as a deterrent to others, but it would also have disciplined and reformed her, Mr Akpaloo remarked.

The five-day sentence execution, coupled with the GHS 80,000 bail is a clear indication of a weak judicial system, according to the presidential aspirant.

“This is one of the reasons why the laws ae not taken seriously. She has been released, but they should tighten the law system. For someone to upload such videos, photos on social media, serious punishment to be enforced for discipline in the country, [sic]” he commented on an Accra-based radio station.

Election petition: Mahama and I are on the same level now – Akpaloo mocks https://www.adomonline.com/election-petition-mahama-and-i-are-on-the-same-level-now-akpaloo-mocks/ Fri, 05 Mar 2021 16:51:19 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1928790 Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana is hailing the Supreme Court for dismissing the presidential election petition filed by former President John Mahama.

Percival Kofi Akpaloo said he could not agree more with the apex court that the petition challenging the 2020 presidential elections lacked merit.

“Mahama just wasted everybody’s time because he knew the petition won’t go anywhere,” Mr Akpaloo said in an interview on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday.

In his view, the Electoral Commission can never shortchange both the ruling New Patriotic Party and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in an election because they have agents in all polling stations.

The failed presidential candidate explained that it will be disingenuous for any of these political parties to claim an election has been rigged.

“The NDC is well resourced so if they tell you they have been cheated, don’t take them serious. They are just being disingenuous,” he said.

Mr Akpaloo said former President Mahama deserves the “humiliation” he got in court since “he brought it upon himself.”

He said since President Nana Akufo-Addo won the elections, all candidates are considered losers “even if you placed second.”

“John Mahama and I lost the elections even though he got more votes than me. As it is now, we are on the same level,” Mr Akpaloo scoffed.

The flagbearer of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, will borrow more money to salvage Ghana’s ailing economy.

According to him, borrowing to build a nation as it is being done in the United States of America (USA) and Japan is the best economic strategy.

“America alone owes $31 trillion; Japan owes $11 trillion. The whole of Africa continent, we owe $1.3 trillion and we are calling it debt? For me, it is peanuts. We need to borrow more!” he said during the first Akan presidential debate organised by Adom TV, Adom 106.3 FM, Nyhira 104.5 FM, Asempa 94.7 FM and Adomonline among others.

He said Ghana’s current debt stock estimated at 40 billion compared to the US and Japan is “peanut”.

“If I have the opportunity to borrow 1 trillion,  I will borrow money to expand our economy, create jobs and build infrastructure so that will can rock shoulders with US and Japan,” Mr Akpaloo stated.

First Akan Presidential Debate

But the presidential candidate of the All People’s Congress, Hassan Ayariga, disagreed with Mr Akpaloo.

He said any President who borrows to run a country is “lazy and not fit to be a leader”.

The APC leader described as worrying how successive governments use Ghana’s natural resources as collateral for such loans.

Should he win the election, Mr Ayariga said he will rely on internally generated funds to run the economy.

According to him, he is aware majority of Ghanaians will vote for either the ruling New Patriotic Party and the opposition National Democratic Congress but he will still win the elections.

Mr Akpaloo, who is number eight on the presidential ballot paper, said his position is a sign of victory.

“The number eight is Angelic number, so the Angels will be coming to vote for me. The number eight means I will win the elections,” he stated in an interview on Accra-based Peace FM.

The LPG leader said he has already been sworn-in as Ghana’s president in the spiritual realm.

Mr Akpaloo added that the number eight signifies a new beginning for Ghana.

“My number eight position on the ballot paper means I will have eight years stay in government. It signifies I am the person to introduce a new beginning” he said.

I will win the December general election hands down, optimistic Kofi Akpaloo, Founder and Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), has said.

“Having been cleared to contest the presidential elections by the Electoral Commission (EC) is a sign of victory,” he said.

The LPG leader is among 12 aspirants who will battle for the seat of government in the polls. This will be a re-match between President Nana Akufo-Addo and former President John Mahama who have both had four years in power.

Ghanaians will have the opportunity to compare the track records of the presidential candidates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

But Mr Akpaloo, in an interview on Adom News, said he is the best bet for Ghanaians ahead of the general election.

Among all the 11 presidential candidates, he claims to have a clear-cut objective to develop Ghana’s human resource to transform the economy.

His strategy, Mr Akpaloo noted is to run a government that would invest in education, health, information technology, research and development and agriculture.

These workable initiatives, the LPG leader said, have eluded both the NDC and NPP governments.

To change Ghana’s fortune for the better, Mr Akpaloo appealed to Ghanaians to vote massively for him in the December 7 polls.

Election 2020: Smaller parties beg for reduction in filing fees https://www.adomonline.com/election-2020-smaller-parties-beg-for-reduction-in-filing-fees/ Mon, 14 Sep 2020 19:16:53 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1854115

The filing fees announced by the Electoral Commission (EC) ahead of the December general election has angered some smaller political parties in the country.

They described as outrageous the GH₵100,000 and GH₵10,000 filing fees for presidential and parliamentary candidates.

“We are selling democracy to the highest bidder; this is unacceptable,” founder of All People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga stated.

He indicated that the conduct of the EC is just to discourage participation, especially by the smaller political parties.

“I expected them [EC] to look at the economy situation and cut our coat according to our size,” Mr Ayariga fumed.

He called on the EC Chairperson, Mrs Jean Mensah to take a second look and review the filing fees.

In support, leader of Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Kofi Percival Akpaloo begged the EC to review the filing fees for the parliamentary candidates.

“GH₵10,000 for parliamentary candidates is too expensive. How do they expect us to file for our candidates?” he quizzed.

The LPG leader stated the filing fee is more of an imposition of taxes on the aspirants than a function performed by the election’s management body.

He stated that, the EC in its bid to discourage so-called “non-serious” candidates might end up preventing serious ones from participating.

Mr Akpaloo was, however, not bothered about the GH₵100,000 filing fee for presidential candidates.

“No presidential candidate worth his salt will complain about the GH₵100,000 filing,” Mr Akpaloo added.

According to him, the purpose of the relocation of the country’s capital from overcrowded Accra to the middle-belt of Ghana is to spur development, ease congestion, promote jobs, unity, security and prosperity.

A prayer warrior has revealed to me that I am Ghana’s next president – Kofi Akpaloo https://www.adomonline.com/a-prayer-warrior-has-revealed-to-me-that-i-am-ghanas-next-president-kofi-akpaloo/ Thu, 03 Sep 2020 15:42:21 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1849325 Flagbearer of the Liberal Party Ghana (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo, has asserted that he will be Ghana’s next president.

His optimism of being Ghana’s next president is based on a ‘vision’ received from a prayer warrior.

According to him, the prayer warrior approached him in town and told him (Kofi Akpaloo) that while praying for a leader for Ghana on a mountain, Mr Akpaloo’s face popped up indicating that he was the one ‘chosen’ to lead the country.

“A prayer warrior once met me in town and told me that while praying on a mountain at Kwabenya, he was instructed by God to pray for a new leader for Ghana and my face showed up,” he said on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem on Thursday morning.

OTHER STORIES:

“Initially I thought he was coming to beg for money but this was what he came to tell me and I believe him, and so in this election, I will emerge the winner and become Ghana’s next president [sic],” he further noted.

Speaking about the two dominant political parties in the country, Mr Akpaloo noted that the National Democratic Congress will never come back to power as Ghanaians will not vote for John Mahama and although the New Patriotic Party has performed well so far, his party will be the next government.

In the manifesto themed A Better Tomorrow: A New Plan for Jobs and Wealth Creation, and launched by the LPG, Mr Akpaloo promised to create what it calls the Administrative Reforms Commission.

The Commission, according to the presidential candidate, is aimed at revamping public administration and making it more performance-oriented and accountable.

“Ministers in my government will be paid based on their performance, so Ministers of State, who do not perform, will not get anything, they won’t be paid. Only ministers who perform and deliver will be paid,” he noted in an interview on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem a day after his manifesto launch.

The Big Agenda: Kofi Akpaloo clears air on being ‘NPP’s puppet’ [Video] https://www.adomonline.com/the-big-agenda-kofi-akpaloo-clears-air-on-being-npps-puppet-video/ Thu, 03 Sep 2020 11:15:09 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1849174
Paying unemployed graduates GHC 400, fixing all bad roads, making university education free and regularising galamsey, are among the eight thematic areas Kofi Akpaloo’s Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) aims at ruling Ghana with.

Shortly after launching the LPG’s 2020 Manifesto on Wednesday morning, Mr Akpaloo passed through The Big Agenda on Adom TV to shed light on the party’s vision.

When Nana Ampofo Adjei asked how the LPG was going to raise the billions for free university education and other lofty programmes, Mr Akpaloo hinted at unrestrained money borrowing.

Asked about his promise to fix all bad roads in Ghana, he stood by the expensive works promise, adding that no contractor would be owed by his government for more than one month.

With such lofty goals and speed in mind, the LPG would need a new breed of civil and public servants to administer Ghana, The Big Agenda put it to Mr Akpaloo.

His response was that he’d sack all non-performing civil servants and replace them with effective ones.

It is alleged the LPG is a puppet of the ruling New Patriotic Party; as such, Mr Akpaloo treats the elephant party with kid-gloves, after lambasting the last National Democratic Congress regime for years.

Confronted with the public perception, Mr Akpaloo quipped: “How can I support Mahama who plunged Ghana into ‘dumsor’ for years?”

As far as the LPG is concerned, it is winning at least seven seats to sit in Parliament, mostly in the Northern and Volta regions.

“Anyone who condemns Akufo-Addo over cedi depression is ignorant. The cedi has only depreciated just 10 per cent under him”, he stated in response to Chairman of the Peoples National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah.

The PNC Chairman in his solidarity message at the NPP’s National Delegates Congress at Koforidua accused the government of performing badly n the management of the local currency against the dollar.

“The economic indices are not good, the IGP has left the cedi out…,” he said.
