Amoah joins the Porcupine Warriors on a four-year deal from Legon Cities, where he made over 50 appearances and established himself as a key player.

Reacting to the move, the 21-year-old expressed his excitement about joining the record Ghana Premier League champions.

“I’m absolutely elated to make this move,” Amoah said. “Coming from a Legon Cities side that had a tough season, to now joining the biggest club in Ghana, is a huge step in my career.

“There were a few offers on the table, but for me, it was always Asante Kotoko. The ambition here is clear, and I want to be part of something special, especially in the CAF Confederation Cup.”

Amoah becomes Kotoko’s seventh signing in the current transfer window, following the arrivals of Aziz Haruna Dari, Francis Acquah, Hubert Gyau, Zackaria Fuseini, Johnson Owusu Oppong, and Seth Kwadwo.

The former Benab FC player joined Legon Cities last season and quickly became one of their standout performers, scoring four goals and providing eight assists in 24 matches.

His impressive form attracted interest from several clubs, including arch-rivals Hearts of Oak, though that move eventually fell through.

Amoah is in line to make his debut for Kotoko in Sunday’s highly anticipated 2025 President’s Cup clash against Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Benjamin Azamati and Joseph Amoah top the world https://www.adomonline.com/benjamin-azamati-and-joseph-amoah-top-the-world/ Wed, 27 Apr 2022 10:02:32 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2108788 For the first time in our history Ghanaians occupy the first two spots on the World 100m ranking.

Benjamin Azamati (9.90s) & Joseph Amoah (9.94s) are part of our special breed of Athletes but need massive support to become great.

If government don’t invest now, they never will, two sub 10s in relay team means We can be World beaters. Camp must open for these guys right after the NCAA season. There is a need to practice the relay more often, try athletes in different legs to come up with the best formula. Government! Make funds available

Ghana can make a huge impression at the World Championships in Oregon and the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham if we do the right things.

Their times are great but the difference is a lack of competition at the highest level , so the best time to invest is now and there’s no excuse.

Very little on our part has gone into the development of these Athletes. Their respective Universities have put in hard the work to get our athletes produce these performances. We can only take advantage if we plan well, provide support when they’re out of school & INVEST BIG.
