She revealed that it was a scary experience having to watch part of her house go up in fames, but the efforts from her neighbors who united to support her deeply touched her heart.

Jackie added that their kindness reminds her of the power of true neighbors, and for that, she will be forever grateful.

She distributed essential items, including cooking oil, rice, tomato paste, and washing detergents, to those in need.

The day also featured a buffet, fun activities with prizes, and a free eye screening session, ensuring that the occasion was not just about giving but also about creating lasting memories.

The actress revealed that, she met the couple over the weekend, and it was an honour for her.

The couple landed in Nigeria on Friday for a three-day private visit to the West African nation, during which they met with wounded soldiers and visited local charities.

The visit follows Nigeria’s membership in the Invictus community.

The Prince launched the Invictus Games, a sport event for military personnel wounded in action, in 2014.

Last year, Nigeria debuted at Prince Harry’s Invictus Games, winning gold and bronze medals and becoming the first African country to participate in the event.

Following the event in Dusseldorf, Germany, Nigeria’s Defence Minister, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar expressed interest in hosting the games.

The actress has made it a tradition to give back to society on her birthday every year as she donated a 10-unit modern public toilet (water closet) and other gift items to the people in her hometown, Ejisu-Abenkro in the Ashanti Region last year.

This year, Jackie empowered 120 individuals in Mepe with training in vocational skills.

She expressed compassion for the people and also donated some startup items for the graduates.

“Despite facing challenges the resilience of the people of Mepe has been inspiring. Today, we have organized a skill based program in collaboration with local partners. 120 individuals have acquired vocational skills in areas like hair dressing, beauty therapy, welding, cake making, tie and die designing, dress making and soap making. These skills will not only enhance personal growth but also contribute to the overall development of Mepe.”

“On this 5^th of December we celebrate the graduation of these individuals who will receive certificate and start up kits for their entrepreneurial journey contributing to the economic prosperity of Mepe. This is a small gesture but I hope it makes a meaningful difference” she said.

Unlike a few celebrities who have had their names linked to quite a number of scandals, Jackie has had a decent career over the years.

On how she had managed to live a controversy-free life, she revealed in a snippet of a yet-to-be aired interview on Accra-based TV3 monitored by Adomonline.com, that she has grown to learn that minding her business is key.

Though a tough task that is, in her opinion, the 39-year-old said she always reminds herself of her status of being in a limelight, for which she owes her fans some decorum.

“I’m naturally a cool person, always in my corner minding my own business. I love my job and I’m so passionate about it so I always want things to be perfect. I don’t want to make mistakes because I have a lot of people looking up to me.”

On days when she feels like losing her cool and finding it hard to stay positive, Jackie Appiah said she whispers to her inner self to deal with it and have patience.

“I always remember where I’m coming from so I see everyone as me so I relate to everyone the same way. When I am not in a good mood, I tell myself ‘it’s too late, you’re already there so deal with it’. I always have to relax and have patience,” she remarked.

Jackie Appiah became a household name in 2000 following her appearance in romantic sitcom, Things We Do For Love in which she played the role of Enyonam – a damsel in love with a calm guy in her neighborhood.

Prior to that she had starred in a few drama in school and church.

A video circulating online captured Jackie Appiah during her visit to Ivory Coast for a show, where she was one of the guest hosts.

In the video, an unidentified lady can be seen engaged in an argument with Jackie Appiah.

The lady claimed that she had given Jackie Appiah $10,000 to perform at a show in Ivory Coast but was disappointed when the actress didn’t show up or provide any explanation for her absence. Frustrated and visibly angry, the lady demanded that Jackie Appiah returns her money or leave the premises.

The lady expressed her grievances, saying, “You remember that one day you took somebody’s money, you were supposed to play in Ivory Coast and you never came? I paid you 10,000 US Dollars. My dear, my dear listen, you have to pay back my money or you get out of this premises right now. Hey, get out of here. You have to get out of here. Are you laughing?”

In response, Jackie Appiah inquired about the account through which the payment was made. The lady replied, “I paid to John. You can ask John Dumelo; I paid him the money.”

Jackie Appiah clarified that she never received any money from John Dumelo and suggested calling him to provide an explanation.

She stated, “If you paid to John, then you didn’t pay to Jackie Appiah, so you don’t have a case with Jackie Appiah. Then you have to call John here. Call him.”

Throughout the encounter, Jackie Appiah maintained a sense of confusion and amusement, as she laughed intermittently.

However, in an unexpected twist, the lady suddenly calmed down and sarcastically said to Jackie Appiah, “Jackie, you can clap for yourself.”

Realizing it was all a prank orchestrated against her, Jackie Appiah let out a sigh of relief.

Andriana plays Adepa, a young woman who fights her way to the top and marries a billionaire (played by Kingsley Yamoah), only to find out that being a billionaire’s wife is the toughest thing she’s ever done.

We caught up with Andriana, who shared more about what it means to have her first lead role, getting into the headspace to play Adepa, her biggest inspiration in the Ghanaian film industry and more.

This is your first major role on screen. How does it feel?

It honestly felt unreal when I first saw myself on screen. For a second, I thought I was dreaming, except in this dream I was wide awake and when reality hit me, I didn’t know how to feel anymore. I felt joy, a bit of fear, excitement, and panic, and a feeling of great responsibility just rushing in. I love it.

Would you say you felt some kind of pressure to get it right?

Yes! This is my very first project and a very important one with me playing the lead. I didn’t want to have any flaws, setbacks or make any mistakes in my delivery; I wanted to be perfect. I felt that if I didn’t deliver perfectly then I would only be wasting the time and effort of everyone working on the project, and this thought weighed heavily on me.

What is it about Adepa that speaks to you the most and that made you want to play her?

Adepa doesn’t settle for anything less than what she feels she deserves, and therefore she goes out there and gets what she wants, even though her means may be questionable. I call that a goal-getter.

Adepa has fought her way to get to where she is. Do you relate to her experiences in any way?

Well, I will say that nothing has ever been handed to me; I actually worked for it. I think this is something Adepa experienced and that I can relate to.

What has been the most challenging thing about playing this role?

Being able to cry was actually challenging. I don’t tear up easily but Adepa’s life had a lot of emotional moments where she needed to cry. Somewhere along the line I discovered a trick that worked for me, which made things less challenging.

Anything this character has taught you about yourself?

I’ve always seen myself as a working-class lady but after walking in Adepa’s shoes and experiencing the luxury, comfort and transformation Bill’s money gave her, I realised I honestly wouldn’t mind being the wife of a rich giver. I didn’t think of things this way until I met Adepa. Don’t tell my parents I said this, haha.

How was it like being directed by Danny Adotey, and working with the entire crew of The Billionaire’s Wife?

It was an amazing experience to be accepted and treated like family. The unity and love on set was beautiful and the fact that everyone kept giving me tips on how to improve on myself made me feel calm, safe, comfortable and that I belonged.

Why do you think Ghanaians will relate to Adepa’s story?

Ghanaians will relate to Adepa’s story because the majority of us are no strangers to poverty. Adepa is playing the role of their reality. Her means to a better life may be different for every person but her struggle is being lived by many.

How has it been acting alongside an actor like Kingsley Yamoah? Any lessons you’ve learnt from him seeing as he’s been in the industry for a while?

Acting alongside Mr. Kingsley Yamoah was really cool and fun. He’s jovial and this makes working with him very comfortable. He gave me a few pointers when we were on set but the one that really stuck was: “Treat every scene like you are auditioning for the role and give it your very best”. This I will be keeping forever.

Which Ghanaian actor or actress would you say inspires you the most, and why?

The actress Jackie Appiah is my inspiration. I find her hard working, really talented, focused, an achiever, a strong woman, reserved and very beautiful. She makes her job seem effortless and I would like to be like her someday.

The two have appeared to some Ghanaians not to be on good terms after Yvonne revealed in May 2022 that Jackie did not avail herself for a movie she wanted to cast her for.

According to her, Miss Appiah was even meant to feature in her Netflix movie, Fix Us but she was unavailable.

But setting the records straight on Ahosepe Adom TV Badwam show, she revealed it has been a long while since she saw her colleague.

She explained she [Yvonne] is someone who minds her business and only talks about Jackie during interviews.

“Sometimes you go for an interview and they ask certain questions about her but I am not the kind of person who will avoid those questions.

“Since I came into the industry, there have been things and stories I can’t tell without mentioning names like Majid, Jackie, and Okoro. I have no problem with her but I’m sure when she goes for interviews, they don’t ask about me that is why she doesn’t talk about me,” she said.

Miss Appiah in a fun-filled event hosted a few colleagues both in Ghana and Nigeria on the night of September 19, 2022.

Mr Agyemang has been spotted serving fashion goals in shades of black.

Veteran actress, Kalsoume Sinare made her presence felt with an Ankara body-fitting wear and shimmery purse to match.

According to her, she cannot do things the average human being may do without having people talk about it.

Speaking in an interview on GBC, on Friday, Jackie Appiah stated that, “I have sold my privacy and so I cannot do what an ordinary person will do. For instance yesterday I was driving and someone crossed me, I wanted to insult the person, like what kind of driving is that. But, I cannot do that.”

The actress said that it is not an easy task for her to live a normal life stating “[it is] very very difficult.”

Jackie Appiah disclosed that she tries as much as possible to keep to herself and stay away from any trouble.

Jackie emphasised that she is always on guard to ensure she does not misstep or get people talking about her actions.

Meanwhile, Yvonne Nelson has a new film which would be premiering on Sunday, May 1 called Red Carpet.

Jackie Appiah stars in the movie with Kalsoum Sinare, Oscar Provencal, and Salma Mumin.

Red Carpet will be showing at the Silver Bird Cinemas at the Accra and West Hills Mall.

Walking freely on the streets and her behaviour in public, according to her, are some of the things Miss Appiah says she is cautious about.

“It is not an easy task, very very difficult. I have sold my privacy and so I cannot do what an ordinary person will do,” she said on GTV.

The renowned actress who bemoaned that everything she now does is in the news revealed how, but for her status, she would have put a careless driver in his proper place.  

“For instance yesterday, I was driving and someone crossed me, I wanted to insult the person, like what kind of driving is that but I cannot do that.

“You always have to be on guard and I stay away from trouble, always keep to myself and mind my own business,” she added.

Miss Appiah has, over the years, earned the admiration of many, not just for her acting skills, but also for her composure and ways of dealing with issues.

It is reported that she acquired the new house in the latter months of 2021. The news came up in December.

Days after the news of her mansion emerged, a video of the actress’ new home surfaced on social media.

The video showed the house to be a storey-building with a swimming pool and a plush compound.

Don Little who could not hide his joy hugged Kalsoume after she asked him to and called the former her baby.

Amidst the joy, there were loud screams for him to hug Miss Appiah who was also present which he obliged beaming with smiles.

Kalsoume went on to call Don Little Jackie’s firstborn with the latter noting he was going to move in with Jackie.

According to her, she came to meet Miss Appiah in the industry and can say she is a big-time lady.

The video footage making rounds show Shatta Wale heavily criticising the Ghanaian actress.
