Rema revealed that some female admirers barged into his hotel room at an ungodly hour, ostensibly for bedroom activity.

In an interview on the Shopping for Sneakers show, the Marvin Records signed performer, whose real name is Divine Ikubor, claimed the girls banged on his hotel door in the middle of the night, before letting themselves in.

He said they came under the pretext of wanting to take a photograph, but their demeanour suggested otherwise.

Rema said he suspected they desired him, but the self-proclaimed virgin said he quickly declined and drove them out.

The situation left him enraged with the promoter for disclosing his room number and causing the girls to arrive uninvited.

The deceased, who is hypertensive, according to a family source, checked into the Climax Hotel in Pokuase in the Greater Accra Region with a young lady at about 5:00 pm on May 4, 2022.

Hours later, workers at the hotel heard the lady screaming for help and they rushed to the room but found the man lying motionless on the bed with foam from his mouth.

The manager of the hotel, Kofi Sintim, informed the Police at about 9:00 pm the same day about the situation.

Police personnel led by Detective Sergeant Sabutu Caesar proceeded to the hotel.

The deceased was found lying dead in a supine position wearing Jean trousers.

The police investigators searched the hotel room and examined the body of the deceased but no marks were found.

The police team however retrieved an aphrodisiac drug known as Dragon Spray from the pocket of the deceased.

While the police officers were preparing the body to be conveyed, the father In-law of the deceased who is a Fire officer and other family members, arrived at the scene having heard the incident.

The family revealed that the deceased was hypertensive.

It is therefore suspected that the use of sexual enhancement drug might have triggered a heart attack.

However, the police are waiting for the autopsy report to confirm the cause of death. The lady has been arrested to assist the investigation.

It was gathered that the man, simply identified as ThankGod, had lodged in the hotel the previous night after an argument with his wife.

A staff member of the hotel, who found his body, told journalists that the man broke a mirror in the room he lodged, saying he suspected the man used it to slit his throat.

The hotel worker, who did not want his name in print, said they became suspicious after nothing was heard from their guest after his time had elapsed.

He said: “We went through the back and pushed the air conditioner to see if someone could go inside and open the bolt. In the process, we broke the door open.

“Everybody, even his family members were here. They came in and saw him. He broke our mirror and maybe used it to cut his throat.

“We saw the mirror in the bath. They (his family) saw everything and started shouting.”

When contacted, the spokesman of the state police command, Nnamdi Omoni, said he heard of the incident, but had yet to get a confirmation from the Divisional Police Officer in charge of the area.

Punch Nigeria reported that the incident happened on Monday at 50/50 hotel Ogijo, Sagamu Local Government Area of the State.

The deceased, a resident of 22, Akilo Street, Bariga, Lagos State, had visited the brothel to ‘relax’ with one of the prostitutes who was simply identified as Joy.

A hotelier in the area, who pleaded anonymity, confirmed the incident, saying: “In the course of the sexual intercourse, the man slumped and died immediately.”

According to the source, the police from Ogijo Division visited the scene to evacuate the lifeless body of Adeniyi, where they also recovered his ATM card and driver’s license.

“As police try to locate the family of the man, his body was deposited at the morgue of Sagamu General Hospital, Ogun State.

“The sexual worker has also been arrested by the police to unravel the cause of the man’s death,” the source narrated.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, could not be reached as of the time of filing this report.

The deceased was participating in the Kwara Zonal and Invitational Kickboxing Championship organised by the State Government. She officiated in the competition and also fielded two athletes. 

It was gathered that a search for the late coach began after she failed to appear at the stadium at 12 noon when all the other officials were supposed to converge for the commencement of the final ceremony of the competition.

Several calls put to her mobile phone were not picked or returned. The organisers and other officials then went to her hotel where her lifeless body was discovered after the door was broken into. 

The body was taken to the Kwara General Hospital, Ilorin, where she was finally confirmed dead, at about 4 p.m. Her remains were deposited in the mortuary, pending transfer to Ogun State.

The Director, Grassroots Sports Development at the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Alhaji Ali Durotoye, was among top administrators who went to the general hospital where she was confirmed dead.

Ogunsuyi, who hailed from Ijebu-Ode, was a former kickboxing champion and graduate of Physical and Health Education and Sports Psychology. 

A man, identified as Issac Mensah, has been arrested by the Nima Divisional Police over the death of his pregnant girl.

The deceased, believed to be in her mid 30’s, was found dead at Nana Gyimah Hotel at Kokomlemle in Accra.

Police sources indicated that the suspect, aged 25 and popularly known as Ike, was arrested at Mampong after his disappearance on March 1, 2021, when the incident occurred.

The Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Efia Tenge, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect made away with the deceased’s two phones.

He went on to withdraw an undisclosed amount of money from her Momo account after which he sold one of the phones.

The deceased was discovered with wounds suspected to have been inflicted with a sharp implement seen on the face.

Information from the hotel management indicated the man lodged in with the deceased.

However, he left the facility the next day but did not return, and on March 3 the room was broken into only for the lifeless body of the woman to be discovered on the bed.

Though the identities of the people are not known, the video captured moments the husband unleashed his anger on his wife and the lover.

It is unclear how the man managed to know their location. Reports indicate the husband arrived at the hotel not long after the lady and her lover did.

The lady, who was shocked upon her husband’s arrival in the room amid tears, tried to calm him down while the ‘unforgiving’ husband kept on yelling at both of them as he threatened to take the lover’s life.

He angrily stressed he had the right to kill the man over his actions.
