The man, called Macauley Murchie, refused to accept her kind offer. But when she finished shopping, he went over to help her with the heavy bags.

The two hit it off instantly and are now happily married with two children, the Daily Star reports.

Jasmine has been sharing details of their unusual love story on TikTok and she recently revealed how they met.

“Met a homeless man one day doing my food shopping. Offered him money but he wouldn’t except it,” she said.

““I went inside [and] continued to do my shop and couldn’t stop thinking about him.

“I went outside and asked if I could help him anyway, he said no. He asked if I wanted help putting my shopping into a taxi, I said yes.

“I asked if he wanted me to get him something to eat. He was embarrassed but he said yes and we went for some dinner.

“We had a long talk about his life. I went and bought him a little phone so we could keep in contact, there was something different about him.

“I got him a hotel and I went home. We kept in contact. I couldn’t stop thinking about him.”

The Canadaians exchanged texts before going out on a date.

Grateful for Jasmine showing such generosity, Macauley messaged: “You’ve made my day, thank you so much for everything, you are amazing. Can’t stop thinking about you xx.”

She replied: “You don’t have to thank me, I can’t get you out of my mind either.”

Not wanting that to be the only time they met, Jasmine then asked if she could take him for some lunch.

After the pair tucked into their beef dinner, Jasmine asked if he wanted to go back to her house and “sort” him some clothes to wear.

“I got him some new clothes and told him he could stay the night, but he ended up staying a lot longer than one night,” she said.

“We instantly fell in love. I knew he was the one for me. He was so nice.”

She added: “We went on multiple dates, eventually he shaved his beard, got new teeth and got a really good job.

“We’ve never been apart since.”

Thanks to Jasmine’s act of kindness and the Macauley’s willingness to help with her shopping, the pair are still together and “very happy”.

To really make the modern day love story complete, Macauley proposed to Jasmine – and they even have two kids together.

His life took a new turn when he had a ‘chance-meeting’ with a Lagos-based photographer, Afolabi Lagos.

The photographer left social media users stunned after he narrated his encounter with Mr Olakunmi and how he agreed to model for a shoot.

He explained that while waiting for his original model to show up for a shoot, he found Mr Olakunmi sleeping under a bridge and decided to get him to model instead.

The video captured the photographer waking the homeless man up to ask him if he wanted to try modeling – where he nodded his head in affirmation.

Quickly, the homeless man, after the photoshoot where he donned a green suit, garnered many likes and comments on social media.

Being poised to becoming the next big thing in the runway industry, his first caption read: My name is Ali and I am born to be great.
