In a heartfelt post on her X handle, DJ Cuppy expressed how sorrowful she was for the great loss of Grandma Kaduna.

She was 91.

She is, however, hopeful that her grandmother is now in heaven watching over them.

DJ Cuppy reflected on the positive impact her grandmother had on raising her mother, who in turn shaped her life.

She wrote, “My mummy’s mother has passed away. I’m finding comfort knowing she’s in heaven, looking down on us with love. What a life she lived! I’m SO grateful for the way she shaped my mum, who then shaped me. I’m praying for my very own during this sudden season of change, but we already know that our God is good all the time. Grandma Kaduna, your spirit lives on, guiding and comforting us.”

The Otedola family is currently in mourning, and fans have united to offer their condolences during this difficult time.

A month after she lost both relations weeks apart, a funeral service has been held for the deceased at the Kowado Park in New Takoradi.

While filing past the mortal remains of 90-year-old Obaapanyin Mary Donkor and her sister, Mrs Juliana Annan, 49, Empress Gifty was captured sobbing.

Despite attempts by actress Tracey Boakye and some relatives to calm her down, Empress was still in a sorrowful mood.

She, however, managed to perform to the sympathisers with the help of other gospel musicians.

Stella Dugan, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Tagoe Sisters and Agya Koo also gave powerful performances.

Other celebrities stormed the event, the likes of Nana Ama McBrown, Ophelia Nyantakyi, Sally Mann and a host of politicians.

According to him, she always wanted to meet her maker because she was old and fragile.

“Anytime she would go to bed, she will have dreams of her mum calling her to come over,” he told Andy Dosty on the Daybreak Hitz show.

The musician said though he was happy she finally found her resting place, he got emotional about her demise and eventually cried.

“She was too old and it got to a point she couldn’t eat so she had to be fed through a tube to her stomach. I was happy she finally got what she was praying for,” he disclosed.

A group of vigilante in Imo State identified the shabbily looking girl galivanting around and began interrogating her.

Recounting her sad experience, the little girl accused her grandmother of giving her out to a man she identified as Miracle, to spend the night with.

She led the vigilante group to the house of her ‘client’ and he was apprehended. He confessed to the crime.

The little girl said Miracle “uses her” each time she visits his shop. She went on to give graphic description of what he does each time she visits.

She further disclosed her grandmother collects between N1000 – N5000 (approximately GHS 15 to GHS 20).

On the frequency she is given out for sexual gratification, the little girl answered “everyday”.

The little girl disclosed that she stays with her grandmother because her mother lives in Lagos.

The man shocked police officers when he arrived at the station with the bag and asked the officers to open the bag.

When they did, they found the freshly chopped head.

In a viral video shared on Twitter, the police are seen in a police van, escorting the suspect back to the scene of the crime in Nyalenda Estate to investigate the murder.

According to TV47 Kenya, the body of the grandmother was immediately evacuated from the scene.

The man’s motive has not been revealed but he has been taken into custody.

Though it is not clear when the old lady passed on, Sista Afia announced her demise on Thursday, June 4, 2020.

Taking to Instagram, she posted a video in loving memory of her grandmother who was spotted in a black cap with a white inscription ‘Sista Afia, Queen Solomon’ on a white t-shirt.

The songstress was heard in the video hailing and showering praises on the old woman.

She captioned it: “THE ORIGINAL QUEEN; Sadly enough, the most painful goodbye! My Number 1 Cheerleader ? I just lost you #RIP.”
