Goat thieves beaten to pulp at Adenta

Two suspected goat thieves were subjected to severe beating at Adenta Kenkey House in Accra.

The incident unfolded when residents discovered their private vehicle loaded with numerous goats, raising suspicions of theft.

Reports suggest that, residents had grown concerned after observing the suspicious activities of the vehicle, which had been seen circling the area for months.

Upon confrontation, it was revealed the goats, which had been reported stolen by their respective owners, have been crammed into the vehicle.

Enraged residents took matters into their own hands, assaulting the suspects and completely vandalizing the vehicle.

One suspect was beaten to pulp before being handed to the District Police while the accomplice managed to escape.

Suspected thieves involved in accident in front of police station

Some suspected thieves were involved in a crash while transporting farm animals they had stolen from Nkwawkaw.

Information received indicates that the suspects had stolen 10 goats and seven sheep, which they were hiding in the boot.

While heading to Accra on the Nkawkaw-Anyinam road, their Toyota Corolla with registration number GX 9245-13 crashed in front of a police station, causing some officers to surround the scene.

However, the suspects abandoned their car and took to their heels, thereby leaving their stolen items in the car as evidence.

The Anyinam Police Commander, DSP Raymond Mahama Iddrisu, told Adom News’ Akwasi Dwamena that an investigation has been launched to locate the suspect.

Also, he said the car has been confiscated in the Atiwa East District of the Eastern Region.

The police are, therefore, calling on the general public, especially those with missing car and farm animals to visit the Anyinam police station for identification and to assist with further investigations.

Two goat thieves nearly set ablaze at Awutu Bereku

Two people, alleged to be goat thieves, were nearly set ablaze by some angry residents of Awutu Bereku in the Central region.

According to a witness, the two young men stormed the town to steal goats and sheep belonging to the chief of the town.

In an interview with Adom News, the witness, identified as Kwame Tetteh, said the chief got hold of one of the suspects while attempting to steal his pregnant goat.

Some angry residents, who have had their livestock stolen before, were seen holding bottles and gallons of petrol ready to set the thieves ablaze.

The two thieves were saved from being burnt to death due to the early intervention of Adom FM‘s Kofi Adjei.
