Thousands of hopeful applicants crowded the venue, eager to secure a position in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

The large turnout and intense pushing at the entrances reportedly caused chaos, leading to several injuries and fatalities.

Reports indicate that the deceased have been taken to the 37 Military Hospital mortuary, while numerous injured individuals are receiving care in the hospital’s casualty ward.

Security personnel have since cordoned off the area, with the military closing key routes around El-Wak Stadium to restore order and facilitate rescue efforts.
