The New Patriotic Party (NPP) member had shared a video of the NDC Chairman purportedly urging his supporters to risk their lives in the 2024 general elections.

Mr. Aboagye had shared the video in reaction to comments made by Bryan Acheampong, the Member of Parliament for Abetifi, who had declared that he and the NPP would not relinquish political power to the opposition NDC.

But, he has since apologised and clarified that the video he saw and shared had been doctored.

He subsequently withdrew the earlier post and expressed remorse for any misunderstanding caused.

He tweeted: “I sincerely apologise and have subsequently removed the Asiedu Nketia video I shared earlier. My attention has been drawn to an original video which clearly shows the earlier one I viewed and shared was doctored. Obviously, this version I saw and shared had been tempered with, which isn’t right. I withdraw accordingly, with apologies.”

Asiedu Nketia’s parting words to late NDC Youth Organiser https://www.adomonline.com/asiedu-nketias-parting-words-to-late-ndc-youth-organiser/ Sun, 18 Oct 2020 19:54:54 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=1869165 The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, says the party has lost a workaholic who could have soon become a national leader considering his political track record.

Reading a tribute on behalf of the founder, the flag bearer, national chairman and the entire NDC family to bid farewell to their former comrade, General Mosquito described the deceased as a high-flier.

The late Youth Organiser, he explained, earned that tag becuause he achieved results in the shortest possible time.

The NDC national youth organiser said the deceased is worth a lot and died for the party; for this reason, the National Chairman, General Secretary, organiser and other officers honoured the funeral.

Sympathisers at the funeral cheered in agreement at the tribute which they said was a clear depiction of Mr Nsiah when he was alive.

Mr Nsiah died early this month in a road accident whilst returning from a funeral of the Kintampo South Deputy Youth Organiser.

The 38-year-old organiser left a wife, Doris Fakaa and five children behind.

According to him, the move is to allow him perform some administrative works for the reorganization of National Democratic Congress ahead of the 2020 elections.
“I can’t state my mind and I will never announce till election is conducted. It’s important that I supervise party works and if I make my intentions known, then there is no way activities of the party will be accomplished. When time is due, I will reveal to the public he said.
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia was speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosi Sen Show Wednesday.
The announcement will come as a surprise to many party supporters who were expecting to hear their experienced General Secretary declare his intentions before the party opens nominations this year.
Deputy General Secretary of the party, Koku Anyidoho, has once announced Mr. Asiedu Nketiah will not stand for re-election.
According to Mr. Anyidoho, Anyidoho, he has the blessings of General Mosquito to contest the General Secretary position.
But Mr. Asiedu who won with almost 80 percent of votes to become the third General Secretary of the party in December 2005 says he is still in the race for the General Secretary position of the party.

Any armed robber who attacks me will get only yams – General Mosquito https://www.adomonline.com/armed-robber-attacks-will-get-yams-general-mosquito/ Tue, 29 Aug 2017 07:39:32 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=442021 The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said any armed robber who attacks him will not get a penny.
Johnson Asiedu Nketia said if they waste their time and storms his house, they will get nothing than ‘tubers of yams’.
General Mosquito as he is popularly called made the comment a day after he was allegedly attacked by highway robbers in Suhum in the Eastern region.
The NDC General Secretary has said he witnessed the attack on a motorist by some armed men on his way to Accra from his village in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Narrating the incident on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, the NDC scribe the men who were in a Toyota Tundra vehicle with registration number GT 666 12 sped past him to stop a vehicle that was ahead of him just around the Suhum Township.
He indicated that, they got down from their vehicle brandishing AK47 rifle and grabbed the driver in the vehicle.
Mr Nketia said he then got out of his vehicle together with a friend to intervene and rescue the driver.
“I had a friend army officer who was with me in the car so he got down first and identified himself and asked them what was their problem” he said.
“I am not sure whether they are armed robbers because nobody made any attempt to rob me of my hard earned money or other valuables” General Mosquito added.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia was sure he was not the target of the attack because the masked men did not come closer to him.
He however bemoaned the heightened insecurity in the country and called on government to put the police on red alert.
