That connection got a special moment when Black Sherif and his team paid a visit to the German Residence, giving the ambassador the chance to meet the artiste whose music had been part of his family’s life for years.

For Landshöft, it all started in Berlin in 2022 when he first heard Kwaku the Traveller. The song immediately caught his attention and eventually became his personal song of the year.

After moving to Ghana with his family, songs such as Lomo Lomo and IRON BOY became part of their everyday soundtrack.

The family even had Black Sherif on their Christmas list in 2025, when they attended his live performance at Zaama Disco.

So when Blacko showed up at the German Residence, there was understandably plenty of excitement.

They also spoke about some of Black Sherif’s favourite songs, the stories behind his music and his latest EP, SUN SHERIF, which has been attracting attention since its release.

The rapper and the ambassador eventually swapped the diplomatic setting for a table tennis match, with Black Sherif narrowly taking the win.

For an ambassador who had spent years listening to Black Sherif from afar, the visit offered a chance to finally welcome the rapper in person.
