He was reportedly on the radar of several top-tier clubs, including Hearts of Oak, before sealing the move to Dreams FC.

I’ll join Hearts of Oak if conditions are right – Fiifi Parker Hanson https://www.adomonline.com/ill-join-hearts-of-oak-if-conditions-are-right-fiifi-parker-hanson/ Sat, 21 Jun 2025 20:18:56 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2546899 Golden Kick FC head coach Fiifi Parker Hanson has expressed interest in joining Hearts of Oak—but only if the club meets his terms and working conditions.

The young tactician, who has received praise for guiding the lower-tier side to the MTN FA Cup final, has been linked with several clubs, with Hearts of Oak emerging as a strong contender for his signature.

Responding to media reports linking him with the Phobians, the former Right to Dream Academy coach confirmed he is open to the opportunity but emphasized the need for mutual understanding.

“Hearts of Oak is a big team, but it has its own style of operation. If they (Hearts) come to seek my services, I will gladly join them only if the negotiations between us go well,” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.

“I will evaluate their method of doing things to see if it suits mine, but I will not force myself if the working atmosphere is not pleasant for me.”

Hearts of Oak recently announced the appointment of Didi Dramani as their new head coach on a two-year deal ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Asked whether he would be willing to work under Dramani, Parker Hanson responded positively: “I’ve known Didi Dramani for a long time; we worked together at Right to Dream Academy, so working under him at Hearts of Oak won’t be a difficult task—in fact, it will help my career.”

However, he was quick to add a caveat: “That doesn’t mean I will still go to Hearts if my ethics don’t align with theirs. If they do, there won’t be any issues. I welcome any club that wants to collaborate with me,” he added.

In a related development, Hearts of Oak are in advanced talks to appoint Najahu Issah as their new goalkeepers’ trainer.

The lower-division side, widely praised for their impressive style of play, narrowly lost 2-1 to Asante Kotoko in Sunday’s final at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

Speaking after the match, Parker Hanson expressed pride in his team’s journey.

“Playing in the final of the FA Cup has been a great value and a great achievement for the team,” he told Asempa FM’s Sports Nite Show.

He also revealed that their preparations were entirely inward-focused, with no attention paid to their opponents’ tactics.

“Our focus was not on Asante Kotoko but on ourselves. We did not even watch their matches during preparation for the final.”

The promising young coach has earned widespread praise after leading his lower-division side to the final of the 2024/25 MTN FA Cup.

Immaturity cost us against Asante Kotoko – Golden Kick coach Parker Hanson https://www.adomonline.com/immaturity-cost-us-against-asante-kotoko-golden-kick-coach-parker-hanson/ Tue, 17 Jun 2025 12:21:06 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2545543 Golden Kick head coach Fiifi Parker Hanson believes his side could have lifted the FA Cup if they had more experienced players at their disposal.

The Division One outfit fell short in a 2-1 defeat to Asante Kotoko on Sunday at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.

In an interview with Sporty FM, Parker Hanson acknowledged that a lack of experience played a major role in their loss.

“I would have defeated Kotoko with experienced players,” he said, expressing disappointment over the missed opportunity.

“We have immature players. If I had three of Kotoko’s experienced players, I would have beaten Kotoko hands down without hesitation.

“You saw the immaturity in these boys [Golden Kick]. Sometimes they need to do the right thing, but because they don’t have the experience, they can’t. We wanted to win [the FA Cup] to make history,” he added.

Despite the setback, Golden Kick received plaudits for their impressive journey to the final.

As FA Cup champions, Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup.

Referee decided the game – Golden Kick coach after FA Cup loss https://www.adomonline.com/referee-decided-the-game-golden-kick-coach-after-fa-cup-loss/ Mon, 16 Jun 2025 11:35:37 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2545063 Golden Kick FC head coach Fiifi Parker Hanson has expressed strong disapproval of the controversial penalty awarded to Asante Kotoko during their MTN FA Cup final clash on Sunday—a decision that ultimately decided the match.

Asante Kotoko took the lead through a header by Kwame Opoku, but Golden Kick responded impressively when Bless Ege scored a spectacular free-kick to level the game.

With the match seemingly headed for extra time, referee Selorm Yao Bless awarded a penalty to Kotoko after Opoku went down under pressure from the advancing Golden Kick goalkeeper.

Opoku calmly converted the spot-kick, securing Kotoko’s 10th FA Cup title.

Hanson, speaking to JoySports, insisted the penalty decision was unjustified.

“It was not a penalty for me,” Hanson told JoySports.

“The referee decided. I don’t know what kept him [referee] long, who prompted him [referee] that it was a penalty.

“If somebody prompted him, then on what grounds? We came here determined to win the game and make history, but the referee decided,” he added.

Following their FA Cup victory, Asante Kotoko will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
