The unfortunate incident occurred on Friday after staff from the Electricity Company of Ghana(ECG) reported disconnected power supply.

Residents of Fetteh Kakraba told Adom News that the ECG staff staffs disconnected the  light of the deceased but failed to cut off the electrical cables that connect the pole to the meter and left it hanging.

The deceased whose name has been given as Appiawaa upon return to the house attempted to position the cable well to avoid any danger but was electrocuted in the process.

An eyewitness, Sister Esi said Appiawa died after they rushed her to St Gregory Hospital.

They have threatened to beat any ECG officer who will come around to check their meter or make any disconnection in the area again.

The accident occurred on Thursday morning after the bus with registration number GG 5639-19 skidded off the road and plunged into a river at Fetteh Kakraba.

Information gathered by Adom News suggests that, the contractor, Nag Fairmont Company working on the Kasoa -Cape Coast Highway failed to cover the bridge which is under construction at Fetteh Kakraba.

In an interview, some residents and eyewitnesses lamented that, the contractor has failed to put safety signs along the bridge, posing danger to commuters.

They have therefore appealed to the Minister of Roads and Highway, Francis Asenso-Boakye to call the contractor and engineers to order.

Meanwhile, the victims are receiving treatment at Awutu Bereku Health Center.

He revealed that, the suspect on Monday evening told him to steal the baby boy from his girlfriend’s room to spend some time with him.

He said the suspect whose name was only given as Bright went to chart with his girlfriend just to distract her.

“I took the baby, gave it to him and went home. A few minutes, I heard the girlfriend crying, saying her baby is missing” he told Adom News.

Alarmed about the development, the 17-year-old boy said he told the lady he gave the baby to Bright.

After several search in the area, they found out that, Bright had killed the newborn in a bush.

The now accomplice claimed he did not know Bright was going to kill the baby for money rituals.

The suspect is in the grips of the police at Awutu Bereku assisting with investigations.

His girlfriend suspected to be part of the plot has also been arrested.

Meanwhile, the developmental chief of Gomoa Mamfam who led the search team, revealed that the suspect told his friends that he would kill his son for rituals.

Bright according to reports has killed the baby for suspected money rituals at Fetteh Kakraba in the Gomoa East District of the Central.

The unfortunate incident occurred on Monday night when he came to visit the baby and his mother.

In an interview with Adom News, Bright’s friend narrated the baby was asleep while his mother had stepped out to buy something.

He asked his unsuspecting friend to go and bring the baby from the room which he did, without knowing he had ulterior motives.

“I met Bright on the school park with the baby and a few minutes later, the mother called that he was missing,” he narrated.

A resident disclosed a search party was launched for the baby immediately after the news about the baby’s disappearance broke out.

Bright’s friend was apprehended after the group had a tip-off that he was the one who took the baby out of the room.

The accomplice led the search party to the school park but Bright had already killed the baby when they got there.

Bright and his friend have been arrested and assisting with investigations.

Aside from the destruction, the landguards have started preparing the land for sale.

The action of the group who are yet to be identified comes a few months after the Gomoa East District Assembly cut sod for the construction.

The contractor moved to the site with work progressing steadily. According to reports, the contractor had completed the foundation for the building.

Reacting to this in an interview on Adom News, Odikro of Fetteh Kakraba Nana Essel Amoquandoh said he had a distress call and rushed to the site to find the weapon-wielding land guards.

With the aid of an excavator, he said they had levelled the ground when he arrived – an act he said has left chiefs in the area furious.

Meanwhile, the Omankrado of Fetteh Kakraba Nana Yaw Kudu-Manu has vowed to will deal with the landguards behind the atrocious act.

He has called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr George Dampare and the Central East Regional Police Command to intervene to avoid a bloody clash.

The lifeless body was discovered on Tuesday morning.

This brings to five, the number of persons killed in the area within a month.

Assembly member for Buduburam- Fetteh Kakraba Electoral Area, Lott Arthur, confirmed this to Adom News‘ Kofi Adjei.

Mr Arthur bemoaned the Buduburam District Police Command has not been able to act on the numerous complaints lodged with them because they do not have vehicles for patrol.

He has, therefore, appealed to the Inspector-General of Police to heighten security in the area and also equip the District with the necessary logistics.

Meanwhile, the chief of the area, Nana Essel Amoaquandoh III, a few days ago appealed to President Nana Akufo-Addo to ban ritualists from advertising on TV.

This, he believed, was a major cause of ritual killings in the country.

The victim was found mutilated with her own cutlass with her private parts also missing.

Residents believe the victim struggled with the perpetrators who targeted her for suspected ritual purposes.

John Larbie, son of the deceased, who spoke to Adom News’ Seth Kofi Adjei indicated that his mother was reported missing after she failed to return from the farm where she was burning logs for charcoal.

A search was launched and her lifeless body was found in another part of the farm, but her working gears and items were scattered across.

An eyewitness added that there were obvious signs of a struggle, leaving them to the suspicion that the crime was committed by multiple persons.

Meanwhile, the district police have visited the scene and conveyed her body.

The unfortunate incident happened on Tuesday morning behind Kaaf University at Gomoa Fetteh Kakraba with the perpetrators not known.

Eyewitnesses, speaking to Adom News‘ Kofi Adjei, said they found him unconscious with blood all over his body.

It is, however, not clear what offence he committed.

He was subsequently conveyed to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital by the Awutu Bereku Police where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Meanwhile, some residents have appealed to the Inspector-General of Police, Dr George Akuffo Dampare, to extend patrol teams to the area to save lives and property.

The deceased was found naked on Thursday, August 26, 2021.

A witness, Mohammed Iddrisu, said he heard someone screaming for help but was afraid to come out and after some time, he did not hear anything again.

However, he woke up Thursday morning only to be told by one of his brothers that someone has been found dead.

The Awutu Bereku District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Joshua Semanyo, speaking to Adom News, urged the residents to assist the police with information to arrest the perpetrators.

Also, the Chief of Fetteh Kakraba, Nana Essel Amoanquandoh II, called on the Inspector- General of Police to deploy more security personnel to the new Kasoa Region to fight criminals.

Some residents appealed to the government to aid them with streetlights since criminals have taken over their area.

The sentence was handed by Awutu Ofaakor Circuit Court, presided by his honor Ebenezer Osei Darko.

Akwesi Body was convicted upon his own guilty plea after he asked for forgiveness from the court and family of the victim.

His actions, he claimed were executed under the influence of alcohol.

Meanwhile, mother of the victim, Gladys Mensah speaking to Adom News after the court proceedings said she was happy with the judgment.

Akwesi Body was arrested on the back of reports by Madam Glady’s Mensah who alleged her 9-year-old daughter had been sexually assaulted by their neighbour.

According to her, her children went to watch a TV series in the culprit’s room when her elder child came rushing that she saw Akwasi Body pounding the little girl.

After series of examination, it was confirmed the 9-year-old had vaginal alteration, prompting her to confront Akwasi Body who later confessed to the crime.

According to reports, the incident happened yesterday after the victim and her friends went to the priest, Akwesi Body’s room to watch television.

Taking advantage of the period when they were alone, the priest allegedly defiled the girl while she was fast asleep.

Speaking to Adom News’ Seth Ankomah Adjei, the victim’s mother, Gladys Mensah said she received a distress call from her older child who walked-in on them.

“I was in the room when one of my children told me while they were sleeping, she felt the urge to urinate. She then woke up and saw Akwasi Body on top of her sister,” she said.

Sensing danger, Madam Agnes rushed for her daughter and upon examination realised her daughter’s vaginal opening had altered, leaving spots of blood oozing.

In an interview with Adom News’ Seth Ankomah Adjei, a witness, Kwame Agyafo, who operates local information centre in the town said round 1:00 am, the deceased’s family members came to him to make a missing person’s announcement but could not afford the price.

He said, hours later, the ex-fire officer was reportedly found dead in the abandoned manhole.

The deceased’s junior brother, Benjamin Gyamesi , appealed to the Ghana Police to release the body for burial due to the Covid-19 while investigations continue.

Mr Gyamesi said the death of their brother had come to them as a surprise because he came home only last year.

The Chief of Fetteh Kakraba, Nana Essel Amoanquandor III, cautioned landlords not to construct manholes when they are not ready to erect buildings.

The deceased, Kofi Amoako Sensen was beaten to death after the owner of the pub accused him of stealing her money.

Brother of the deceased, Akwesi Boadi who confirmed this unfortunate incident to Adom News’ Kofi Adjei said his brother had finished having some drinks and was leaving when the owner called her money had been stolen.

The deceased who was the only one at the pub was accused of stealing the money thus when he denied stealing the money, the lady raised alarm.

Mr. Boadi said the residents mostly men who rushed to the shop did not even ask his side of the story pounced on the deceased and subjected and beat him to pulp.

Kofi Amoako who was vomiting blood was then rushed to the St Gregory hospital at Budumburam by some good Samaritans was died shortly after arrival.

The family has reported the case to police at Awutu Breku but the attackers and owner of the pub are currently at large.
