According to him, he made the claim in the spur of the moment.

“I spoke without thinking. Whatever they choose to do with it is up to them, but it’s not true, and nothing of the sort ever happened” he said in an interview on the ‘Delay show’.

Ernest Opoku had gained significant attention after disclosing an explicit encounter with a female passenger in a vehicle.

However, during his interview with the show’s host, Deloris Frimpong Manso, he stated unequivocally that, it was a fabrication.

The exchange during the conversation went as follows:

Delay: So, in the interview where you claimed that a woman performed a certain act on you in either a train or a car, were you joking?

Ernest: Oh! That’s not true.

Delay: You didn’t say that.

Ernest: I did say it, but it was false.

Delay: So why did you say it?

Ernest: It’s not true because such an act couldn’t occur with other people present in a VIP bus.

Delay: So why did you make these claims?

The lovebirds were engaged in a messy breakup that took the social media community by a storm. Not only did she rain unprintable words on him, she stormed a studio where he was having an interview and landed a slap on his cheeks.

But, in a recent interview, Nayas said she has reconciled with Ernest Opoku and apologised for her actions she admitted were uncalled for.

She further stated she plans on supporting his ministry anyway she can.

True to her words, Nayas made her presence felt when Ernest Opoku was performing before an august crowd at gospel artiste Brother Sammy’s album launch.

Sitting still was an impossible task for Nayas, who was led by the Holy Spirit to join Ernest Opoku on stage.

In a video sighted on Zionfelixdotcom, Nayas was spotted spraying cash on Ernest to the amazement of onlookers.

After spraying him with cash, she was lost for a moment as she remained on the stage while Ernest continued his business undistracted.

The two, who were once a couple, brought their issues to public domain when Nayas stormed a studio where Ernest was being interviewed and physically assaulted him.

Aside the interview, Nayas, in an online rant, used unprintable words on Ernest for his participation in their unsuccessful romantic relationship.

But, revisiting the incident in the studios of Hitz FM during Friday’s edition of Daybreak Hitz, Nayas revealed they are on a fresh page and there is no bad blood.

She admitted her actions were triggered by some emotions she could not manage, and if given the opportunity, she would undo the wrongs.

Nayas further revealed she has run into Ernest Opoku after the jaw-dropping incident, and he greeted her with warm reception.

“We met on January 1, this year, at Fada Dickson’s birthday and we greeted each other, we even hugged; after all, what’s the purpose of life.”

Nayas added that she was invited to his music launching and she would have graced the evebt but for an ailment which rendered her incapable.

“Of course I would have attended. If not for anything, if he sees me falling, he will lift me up. He has no negative thoughts for me, neither do I. He still supports me and I am grateful for that. It was an unfortunate incident and we have moved past it”.

In the early days of his career, Ernest said he developed interest in a girl he met at church and made all necessary plans to wed her.

According to him, he sponsored her education, gifted her lavish gifts and took good care of her parents – all in the bid to marry her in future.

But, his dreams were dashed when his girlfriend, after all the monies spent, revealed she was engaged to another man.

To add salt to injury, Ernest Opoku said she handed him an invitation for her wedding. Though pained, he decided to go and see things for himself.

On the fateful day, the gospel musician said he went to the venue at Ejisu in the Ashanti region very early to secure a seat to give him proper view of the bride and groom.

Ernest told Emelia Brobbey host of Adom TV‘s Okukuseku show that, he wanted to scrutinise the groom to see if he is indeed worthier than him.

“I was very calm and composed until the officiating minister said ‘you may kiss your bride’ he bemoaned.

At that point, Ernest said his heart started beating fast and tears trickled down his eyes while watching his dear ex-girlfriend lock lips with her husband.

He then realised that, he had made a “wrong investment”.

Ernest Opoku said after his first heartbreak, he vowed never to fall in love with the wrong person.

According to him, he was travelling around 4:00 pm from Kumasi to Accra for business purposes.

En route, he said he was joined in the two-seater bus by a lady who leaned against his body under the pretext of dosing off.

Several attempts to get her off proved futile, and he surrendered his shoulder for her comfort.

While at it, he said he fell asleep while listening to an inspiring music from Elder Mireku only to feel as though he was being cuddled.

The Ministers of the gospel who used to be best of friends fell out over a yet-to-be-disclosed cause and since then, they have publicly declared enmity towards each other.

In a recent interview where Ernest was asked about Brother Sammy, he made it clear they are not friends, adding that he would embarrass and sack Brother Sammy should he attend his upcoming concert.

Among other things, Ernest described his former protégé as a “disrespectful man behaving like a child”.

Revisiting the fued, Brother Sammy sought to confront Ernest on the comments when he met him in the company of some associates.

However, it quickly turned into a fisticuff, but for the timely intervention of the onlookers.

Ernest Opoku threw punches, kicks and attempted to throw a bottle of water while Brother Sammy was whisked away.

The video has caught the attention of netizens who have argued the gospel stars are going too far with their banter, while others believe it is clout chasing at it’s best.

The musician said the girl is a daughter of a neighbour in a compound house he stayed at Krofrom during his hay days.

On that fateful day, he narrated that he was having his usual praises and worship in his room when he heard a loud knock which was followed by pleas to intervene in the dead girl’s situation.

According to him, he had no idea of the powers he possessed until he prayed to God to glorify His name for the sake of other neighbours who doubted him and wanted to test his faith.

In an interview on Hello FM, Ernest Opoku recounted singing out Lord to the glory of God, and while at it, he heard the lifeless girl cough and spring back to life.

According to him, some eyewitnesses took videos of the incident which was later sent to him, and it was then he realized he had the potentials to sing.

He said he went on to record the song he used in raising the dead and titled it ‘Ote Ase’ which became his breakthrough song in the music industry.

It is for this fascinating reason he said the song trended for many years because it is directly inspired by God.

He made the revelation when asked about the genesis of his craft.

Though Mr Opoku has enjoyed stardom and prominence in the Ghana music industry, he has for years managed to keep away his family from the media space.

Ernest, who hitherto was a shoemaker in Kumasi, narrated how angels visited him in his dreams on four different occasions, to inform him of God’s purpose for his life.

The angels, he added, told him how great he will be in bringing an end to the destruction on the children of the Almighty.

At a tender age and with no prophetic background, the gospel singer said he only understood his calling after a popular pastor prophesied to him again.

“I received the anointing at 17 and from that time, I had to quit every work and put more effort into the ministry. This is the same reason why my music is different. Anytime I am performing, you feel the presence of God in the auditorium,” he stated on Adom TV’s Makyeasea

The Onyame Di Hene crooner said his passion for the ministry forced him to spend a whole year at the ‘holy’ Atwea Mountain, where he experienced spiritual maturity.

“God told me to descend from the mountain and right after I started producing songs in 2014. I was booked for shows and received huge sums because of the large crowd”.

Till date, Ernest Opoku disclosed, he is still enjoying from his service; touring the world and acquiring expensive properties.

Anita Afriyie claims some male gospel musicians including Mr. Opoku who act holier than thou are ‘snakes under grass’.

Her comment comes after Ernest Opoku described her as a “hypocrite’ for performing at ‘Adonko Bash’; a show to promote Adonko bitters on Easter Monday at the Kumasi Sports Stadium.

Ernest Opoku maintained that conduct has brought the name of the industry into disrepute for promoting alcohol consumption especially to the youth.

But in a rebuttal, Anita Afriyie on Adom FM’s entertain review show ‘Adom Entertainment hall said Ernest Opoku and his cohorts lack the moral right to criticize her.

She explained that, majority of the male gospel musicians engage in amorous relationship but “but pretend to be holier than Jesus Christ”

The “Adehye Mogya” hitmaker when asked by show host, Mike 2 to provide evidence said “give me just two weeks and I will expose them”

“They should watch out for me; I will come back for them” she stressed.

Anita Afriyie maintained that she rather won more souls for Christ after performing at the Adonko bash.

His denial follows a video that went viral recently with a self-acclaimed prophetess warning Mr Opoku to stop using charms.

In an interview with Hit FM’s Franky 5 on This Is Gospel, the musician refuted claims of using charms and accused the woman of peddling falsehood.

“You can’t just sit down and make baseless allegations about someone while it is not true.

“I do not use any charms; I do not know where to even consult fetish priests. I want the whole world to know all that what the woman said are lies,” he added.

Mr Opoku emphatically stated that he did not know the woman and has never spoken or been in contact with her before.

According to him, he had tried to contact the woman via social media so they could meet but has not received any reply yet.

“I do not know who she is or where she is from, I replied her on Facebook but she is yet to reply. What I want is to meet her one on one so she shows me where I got my black magic from and also to reveal to me the fetish priest I consulted.”

Ernest Opoku urged his fans to disregard the unidentified woman’s utterances because she was hungry for fame and wants to ride on his back.

The musician who is currently in New York is hopeful he would win the Male Vocalist of the Year award at this year’s Ghana Music Awards.
