Cina Soul made the revelation on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Friday, March 21, 2025, during an interview with Doreen Avio.

“I want to release the song with Efya. We have a song together. But you know, I didn’t want to put it on the album because I wanted to give it special attention,” she said.

Her collaboration with Efya has sparked excitement among music lovers, who have long admired both songstresses.

This follows Cina Soul’s open admiration for Efya, who has won the Female Vocal Performance category at the Ghana Music Awards multiple times. In 2019, when asked if her presence in the music industry posed a threat to Efya, Cina Soul paid tribute to her influence.

“I grew up listening to Efya and mimicking some of the things she did, so if you tell me that I sound like her or compare me to her, you’re blessing me because it’s such a privilege to be compared to Efya,” she said.

Beyond her collaboration with Efya, Cina Soul also has aspirations to work with some of the world’s biggest musicians.

“I want to perform with Beyoncé, with Chris Brown, with Burna Boy, with Tems, with Ayra Starr… who else? They are plenty,” she added.

The celebrities have promoted the GoFundMe campaign aimed at raising $10,000 for Moesha.

The funds will be used to cover medical expenses, therapy sessions, assistive devices, and any other resources needed to aid her recovery.

Currently, the life-altering stroke has also affected Moesha’s ability to move.

Efya urged Ghanaians to support, admonishing that every penny will go a long way in fighting the health battle.

Akuapem Poloo also took to social media to share fond memories of her encounters with Moesha.

Expressing concern over the seriousness of Moesha’s condition, Poloo called on her followers to join hands and contribute to supporting Moesha during this challenging time.

“Oh sis, I didn’t know things had gotten this serious ?‍♀️. God, please have mercy and heal my sis @moeshaboduong for me ?. Fam, please in any way we can help to support her so she gets better, please with God, let’s do it. Our sister needs our help now,” Akuapem Poloo wrote.

Both celebrities have pledged to contribute their own quota to help raise the targeted $10,000 for Moesha’s stroke treatment.

This was after Communications Minister and Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, kicked against the criminalization of sex toys in the Anti-LGBT Bill, arguing that it would inadvertently affect heterosexual couples who use sex toys to enhance their sex lives.

Clause 3(c) of the Bill prohibits sexual intercourse between a man and an inanimate object or between a woman and an inanimate object.

The Minister noted that if the criminalization of sex toys is the intent of the house, then Parliament would have to be clear that the Bill is not just targeted at the LGBT community, but those who use sex toys.

Mrs. Owusu-Ekuful called for the immediate deletion of the clause clause.

But the entire discussion of sex toys in Parliament, to Efya, is a classic case of misplaced priority.

She questioned how such discussions will tackle the issue of inflation in the country.

Speaking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, Efya’s attention was drawn to the fact that only a few women end up picking roles as financiers to musicians in Ghana.

Though the cause of that was not mentioned and is currently unknown, The “Gingam Queen” seems to be very passionate about the role of women in the music industry.

She however went ahead to appeal to female investors to invest money into the music industry which currently seems male-dominated.

“Please, this is an appeal to all the rich mummies in the building. We have some very amazing talents in Ghana and if you have some extra change, I believe that putting it in an artiste will be very beneficial.

“Not to just you and your brand, but also to the artiste to be able to know that they are solidified with somebody that is financially comfortable to be able to support them take their music and brand to another level,” she pleaded.

Efya, who is currently promoting her newly released EP dubbed ‘No More Tears’ said that she strongly believes that there are a lot of women out there who have the capacity and ability to handle artists in Ghana by helping them financially.

“I believe that there are women in this country who can do that and if you can we are appealing to you all to come out and do your best, especially the up-and-coming ones and some of us who are holding the fort.”

According to her, their fans appreciate their vibe hence are impatient for them to do a song together.

“I think Michael [Sarkodie] and I just be dropping once in a while when you guys are really thirsty so it depends on how the thirst is going at this moment. People have started threatening us to drop a song” she said in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz.

In a response to Andy’s suggestion that she needs to do an album with Sarkodie, Efya said that collaboration will come at the right time.

“I believe that both of us ascended to a higher level mentally and spiritually so we have to connect on that sense for us to be able to match up and when that happens it’s gonna be amazing because both of us will know that it’s time” she added.

Efya is currently out with her new EP titled ‘No More Tears.’

Efya, one of the Ghanaian artistes with the highest number of features and collaborations said on Showbiz A-Z on Joy FM that her best collaborations are songs she did with Sarkodie.

“I have worked with almost 120 artistes. So the hardest collaboration will be anything that I did with Sarkodie,” she told the host Kwame Dadzie.

Efya has over the years, has exhibited great artistry either on her own songs or joint music projects. 

Some of her highly rated collaborations are ‘I’m in Love with You’ and ‘Saara’ by Sarkodie; ‘Hold Me Down’ by Akwaboah, ‘One of Your Own; by Efya featuring Bisa K Dei, among others. 

She also reiterated a statement she made on Twitter (X) about two years ago that artistes who had not released works she had been featured on for the past three years should come for a retake or not release the work at all.  

According to her, things change with the passage of time as well as artistes improve on their craft by the day, so songs that were recorded about three years ago must seriously be reworked and fine-tuned to meet the current taste of music lovers. 

“Nowadays it depends on the mic you are using. There is a certain way that I need things to be. The upgrade is not easy. When it’s done, it has to be maintained. 

It’s not really that bad. It’s no shade or anything. Come let’s make the song better,” she noted.

Efya added that different kicks and loops come out every year, a reason every song must reflect the present and not the past.

“So if you want to really release the song now and appeal to the ears of the people now you need to make it a something that will be a hit now, not the previous one,” she noted.

In a Facebook post last month, Bullgod expressed disappointment with how Ghanaian musicians are missing out on opportunities to sell their craft on huge international platforms.

“So R2Bees and Efya can chill with Wizkid anytime he’s in Ghana but can’t join him on international stages an showcase their talents?” Bullgod had posted.

But in a promotional video of Atuu to be aired on UTV tomorrow, August 26, the Best in Me hitmaker said she has a good relationship with Bullgod who could have easily called her to express his views but chose to say such things on social media to embarrass her.

“I know Bulldog, he could have chosen to call me but he decided to sit on social media and say that to embarrass me. How does that help me as an artiste mentally,” she stated.

This is the first time the four time VGMA Vocal Artiste of the Year has directly responded to Bullgod’s comments which undoubtedly revived conversations about Efya’s perceived lack of interest to explore her music potentials to the fullest.

In the yet to be aired interview, Efya also talked about her reason for adding Nocturnal to her name.

“I find it difficult sleeping at night so that is why I added Nocturnal to my name. It looks like I’m always active in the night,” she stated.

Nana Adwoa has revealed that her daughter, despite her hard work and dedication to the craft, has lost huge investors as a result of negative news that was speculated about her.

Speaking on Prime Morning on Joy Prime, the presenter revealed they are often hit hard by such negative reportage but find a way to come out strong.

Nana Adwoa Awindor disclosed she always advises Efya to rise above such rumours.

“I know my daughter, I tell her not to take it in but to pray about it, it will die off. The stories break her because these are instances where you are working on something to push her, and these things come up. This is why I was saying that we need to be careful of the way we do things and say things because you never know the effects.

“There was an instance we were working on a huge project and such news broke out. If you are an investor and you want to invest in a person and you hear such things, whether it is true or not, before you say jack, you may have taken a step back to check it,” she disclosed.

Nana Adwoa stated that she has no regrets about supporting her daughter in her choice of career and believes it will pay off, adding the future has something great for Efya.

“As a mother, I feel bad about it, but I know God has a better place for her. Maybe these are propellers because the news affects us, but like I said earlier, the better part of us is yet to come and not what is gone. I don’t believe in that,” she said.

The renowned ‘Greetings From Abroad’ host took time to reflect on her experiences, highlighting moments that encompassed challenges, achievements, and all the aspects in between that have shaped her into the person she is today.

During her appearance on Joy Prime, she shared a brief rendition of her favourite song W’agye Me by Jael Wiafe.

In a lengthy post, she expressed her frustration over the seemingly unending speculations that she is unappreciated by Wizkid due to his failure to feature her in his concerts and share international stages.

Recent reports have it that aside their usual nightlife fun and couple of collaborations they have worked on, Wizkid is yet to grant Efya the opportunity to join him on big stages.

The remarks are coming after Wizkid introduced King Promise – their mutual friend- on stage during his sold out Tottenham concert, but Efya was absent.

In reaction, Efya emphasised that their relationship is built on mutual respect and genuine friendship, not on seeking opportunities for personal gain.

Addressing claims that their interactions are centered around fun without any professional benefits for her, Efya strongly refuted such notions. She highlighted that they have both benefited one way or the other in terms of support and encouragement for each other’s music careers and artistic growth.

Efya further asserted that she has always been open to collaborating with Wizkid and other artistes, but it should be based on genuine creative synergy and not solely for the purpose of financial gains.

Aside her personal decisions, she also mentioned that technical issues also sometimes make it challenging to accompany Wizkid for all his international performances.

“When it comes to performing on big stages, there are various factors involved that people may not be aware of. Scheduling conflicts, prior commitments, and logistical constraints sometimes make it challenging to accompany Wizkid on every single performance. It doesn’t diminish my dedication or the fact that I have also played on countless international stages,” she tweeted.

She urged fans and followers to support genuine friendships in the entertainment industry and avoid making assumptions based on rumours.

Efya has revealed in a recent television interview that she has been incorporating Tai Chi into her therapeutic routine for several years.

According to Efya, Tai Chi has become an essential part of her life, playing a crucial role in maintaining her energy and equilibrium.

She clarified that her practice of this martial art is driven by personal development rather than a desire to cause harm to others.

While Efya acknowledged that Tai Chi has equipped her with self-defense skills, she stressed that her primary focus is on nurturing her inner growth and self-discipline, rather than engaging in physical altercations.

She perceives Tai Chi as a tool to protect herself in potentially hazardous situations, but her ultimate aim is to cultivate inner strength and harmony.

Efya further explained that Tai Chi has taught her how to safeguard herself if the need arises, but it is not intended to promote violence.

Instead, it serves as a means to discover inner peace and utilize that energy positively.

Efya made the submission during a previous interview when she was asked to comment on Blakk Rasta’s opinion of Sarkodie’s remix of Bob Marley’s ‘Stir it Up’.

“Who is that? He’s a rapper; he’s a what?…he’s a radio journalist?… But journalists say what they want, they don’t care. I don’t think I know who he is. What does he do, radio?” she stuttered.

After being given some clues by the host of the show that Blakk Rasta is the composer of Barack Obama banger, she admitted hearing of him and went ahead to describe him as a “funny man who does funny songs.”

The description touched Blakk Rasta’s nerve and he, in a rebuttal, made damning allegations against Efya, among which he classified her as a drug addict.

Revisiting the banter in a recent interview on Asempa FM’s Showbiz review, Efya took back her words and admitted to knowing her colleague.

She justified that it was a case of mistaken identity.

“Yes I very much know him. I will never not know that man ever again in my life. I will know him everyday forever and ever and I pay respect to him for his job and everything he does,” she poked.

Asked if she still holds strong sentiments against her colleague, she said she is very much okay.

In her opinion, regardless of the way her craft was rubbished, she was still the only female artistes billed to perform for US Vice President Kamala Harris, and that is a testimony of her relevance.

The Best in Me singer’s mother, Nana Adwoa Awindor is a renowned filmmaker and celebrity host of “Greetings from Abroad” whose productions were quite popular in the 90s and early 2000s.

However, while it is expected that Efya will enjoy good reception and favours for being a daughter of a celebrity, she said the reverse was the case for her growing up.

Speaking on the latest episode of ‘The Doreen Avio’s’ show, Efya narrated how she was bullied in school when her seniors found out who her mother was.

“It was very stressful. There was a lot of pressure. I got beaten up because of my mom when I got to secondary school,” Efya stated.

The four-time VGMA Best Female Vocalist of the Year said her music career began after she participated in Stars of the Future, as she has always been singing in church and passionate about music.

However, the Until the Dawn artiste said that wasn’t her original plan since she had always nurtured the aspiration to be a film director like his father.

“I don’t really sleep at night and it’s been like that for a very long time. So, I figured I might as well make it cool because I’m a very Nokturnal being and I come alive at night. Most of the time I like to work late at night because it’s quiet,” the songstress added. 

During a recent interview, Efya was asked to share her view on Blakk Rasta’s take on Sarkodie’s feature on Bob Marley’s song.

However, the singer shockingly revealed that she doesn’t know who Blakk Rasta is.

When the GhOne TV host asked, “You don’t know Blakk Rasta?” Efya responded; “Who is that? He’s a rapper? He’s a what? He’s a radio journalist?”

When the host described who Blakk Rasta is, Efya said: “But journalists say what they want, they don’t care. I don’t think I know who he is. What does he do, radio?”

Meanwhile, she began to remember who Blakk Rasta is when his popular song, ‘Barack Obama,” came to light.

“Oh that funny man, yeah yeah yeah. He does funny songs, right? Listen, everyone for himself, God for us all,” Efya added.

Reacting to Efya’s statement, Blakk Rasta said, “Sad what DRUGS can do to a beautiful soul. Be delivered and healed, in JESUS name!”

Efya’s jab follows Blakk Rasta blaming the late Bob Marley’s family for featuring a rapper such as Sarkodie on the Stir It Up remake.

‘‘If Bob Marley was alive, do you think that he will be featuring Sarkodie? They are in two different worlds, I do not blame Sarkodie, Sarkodie is not the one I am talking to, I am talking to the disgraceful Bob Marley family. It is nonsensical and I’m hurt,” he added.

Back in August 2021, the singers met at a party in Club Onyx and greeted each other with the holy kiss.

However, conservative Ghanaians were displeased with the action they said was promoting the LGBTQ community, at a time when discussions around LGBTQ was at its peak.

In response, Sefa indicated she was a little taken aback to find herself trending for the wrong reasons.

She told host Doreen Avio during Friday’s edition of Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM that she did not see the issue as a big deal until her mother brought it to her attention.

Sefa, nonetheless, clarified that the kiss did not land on Efya’s lips as speculated, but the camera angel twisted the entire scene. She was adamant it was just a peck on the cheeks.

“Anytime I meet someone, whether male or female, I give people French kiss, that’s a peck. On that day Efya was coming towards me and I wanted to say something into her ears, but because she wanted to say something, it landed close to her lips, but not on the lips.”

On rumours she has lesbian tendencies, Sefa gave an epic response that “she doesn’t roll like that.”

Her debut mixtape TINT was released on November 11, 2013. It consists of songs that were released between 2011 and 2013. The mixtape was supported by two singles: “Getaway” and “Best In Me”. She released her long-awaited debut studio album Janesis on April 22, 2016.

 It was previously scheduled for release at different times between 2013 and 2015. On January 11, 2014, Efya released “Forgetting Me” as the album’s lead single. On May 8, 2016. In March 2021, she was among the Top 30 Most Influential Women in Music by the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch.

The Efya Live in Concert show which will host more than 300 music enthusiasts at the elegant BlackBerry Lounge, promises to be one of the best celebrity shows as the songstress will as usual entertain guests with an interactive concert.

The ‘Little Things’ hitmaker told JoyNews’ Becky that she is “working out and I promise you all more music in the next year coming and I know that everybody is excited about it.”

In 2016, Efya released her debut album titled ‘Janesis’ the 21-track album was released in April.

Following their disbandment to pursue solo careers under the brand names Efya and Irene Logan, the talented singers have come face-to-face again.

It is unclear what led to their split, but nothing was seen of the sisterhood that brewed on the stage of Stars of the Future competition some 15 years ago.

While Efya went on to grab top awards and was adjudged the best vocalist of the year consecutively, Irene went private and in her own words, she experienced major setbacks including addiction and depression.

However, Irene knocked back to her old self and redirected to the path of singing, just under gospel genre.

After many years, Irene and Jane crossed paths again at the GUBA awards which took off over the weekend.

They were captured catching up on old times, and to Efya, it was the best part of her GUBA experience.

Irene also expressed heartfelt contentment, as she gave a testimony of how she had desperately wanted to mount a huge platform again.

Their smiles on the night radiated their unchangeable affection for each other, the same which they exhibited during their recording days.

Under the Irene and Jane brand, they are credited for songs such as Don’t wanna be lonely, Don’t give up, Odo kai, Baby, Girl power, Rivers, Always and Ding dong.

According to him, he saw musicians Efya, Patapaa, Stonebwoy and one musician, whose name he refused to mention, locked up in one room.

He explained that in the vision, he saw that three of the musicians were able to escape apart from the last one who feels pompous in nature.

Nigel Gaisie added that even though Patapaa was able to free himself in the dream, some people are still after his life.

He said Patapaa’s haters want to kill him spiritually through a motor accident but God has interceded on his behalf.

Talking about the musicians who weren’t able to get out of the room, Nigel Gaisie said lots of prophecies have been prophesied about him in the previous weeks.

Meanwhile some social media users have reacted to Nigel Gaisie’s video with many of them wondering why he would say such a thing when one pastor who gave out the ‘Shatta Wale prophesy’ has been arrested and arraigned before court.

The two have maintained an undeniable sisterhood bond after S3fa was introduced to Efya while she was still budding in the industry.

They have been captured together in clubs multiple times and have been applauded for preaching unity among female acts, but their latest action has raised eyebrows.

In the video, which is in circulation, Efya greeted S3fa with a ‘holy kiss’ after they met in a place believed to be a club.

Sefa, who was already in the premise before Efya, could not help but lock lips briefly with her colleague who walked in with a prepared lip, ready for a ‘holy kiss’.

Their action has sparked an online debate with majority defending that their ‘holy kiss’ is normal and harmless.

Other perplexed netizens raised moral concerns as they make reference to an interview where S3fa mentioned she is not a fan of kissing.

The artiste opens up on how thankful she is to God for His mercies throughout the year.

“There were times of disappointments, times of failures, but your grace has brought us through. And we are here to say thank you Lord,” she noted in the song.

Taking to Instagram to share a snippet from the video, Efya wrote: “I am a living testimony if I start to talk …!! Big thank you .. God has been soo good to me in the rain or shine we will rise thank you @celestinedonkormusic.”

Akwaboah also added that regardless of age, race, gender or religion it is essential for people to thank God for having survived the year.

In the videos making rounds on social media, Efya was seen twerking to Stonebwoy’s Mightelele song as he performed to the crowd.

In no time, ‘One Gad’, as he is affectionately called, grabbed her by the waist and took her to the main dance floor so they could have more space to dance.

According to him, death looms over Efya and it would take the covering of a genuine man of God or a seer to avert it.

Meanwhile, in another video, Efya was sighted by Adomonline.com praying with her mother Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity host of the defunct television show ‘Greetings From Abroad.’

Additionally, some other family members, Efya described as uncles, were also seen with her prayer against the odds of her dying prematurely.

Ever since Prophet Nigel said he has seen Efya’s death in a vision God revealed to him one dawn, her fans have since been showing her undying love, with many of them praying for her to live longer then her fate.

This isn’t the first time that the Founder and Leader of the Prophetic Hill Chapel will prophesy the death of a music star.

He had been captured in a tape prophesying the death of the late dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns, before her untimely motor accident.

The Leader of the True Word Prophetic Fire Ministries, Prophet Nigel Gaisie, has urged musician Efya to seek a powerful man of God to pray for her else she will kick the bucket in no time.

According to the man of God, noted for predicting many events, the singer shouldn’t doubt him, adding that, she should look for a spiritual man to avert the prophecy.

In an interview to clarify the prophecy, Pastor Nigel asked Efya not to joke with it.

Prophet Nigel, in the video, said he was certain God was talking about Efya Awindor, the daughter of Nana Adwoa Awindor, a filmmaker and celebrity host of the defunct television show ‘Greetings From Abroad.’

When I see things in the spirit, I don’t add or subtract. I say it as I’ve seen it and what I saw is musician Efya will die. I was there last dawn and the Lord appeared to me and I saw it like you’re watching on TV.

Don’t joke with me. Don’t joke with my prophecy. You can have your bias about me but when I see the thing and I say ‘thus sayeth the Lord, I mean don’t joke. So she should go see a spiritual person.

Someone will say Prophet Nigel says these prophecies for fame. If you don’t know me, what is fame? I have TV stations in 16 African countries that work 24/7 so what else do I need?

Is it money? I don’t have money but the little God has given me, it is more than okay for me. And how much does she even have? She should go and see a man of God to pray for her that’s all, he said.

According to her, she has realised fans love and feed into such beefs that is why they have become such a big thing in the music industry.

“If you (fans) didn’t feed into it, it will not be publicised. I think when it all settles down, everybody comes to the meeting where there is a grown up person who says ‘you have to make up, you guys are sisters’, so it’s really nothing,” Efya told Kojo Yankson on Joy FM’s Super Morning Show, Friday.

The ‘Ankwadobi’ hitmaker said beefs are really worth it if artistes play them to their advantage.

She explained that there are different levels to music including publicity and business which also need to be taken care of while the feud is ongoing.

Efya said if a beef goes wrong it might take away something from an artiste’s career.

“If it comes to a beef, I feel like you need to make it work for you in the best way possible, you’re either gaining numbers or you’re bringing up your price,” she added.

She stated that she, however, does not condone beefs that turn violent.

Efya, who was in the studios to promote her new single ‘The One’ featuring Nigeria’s Tiwa Savage, added that she prefers to work together with artistes than have a toxic industry.

Singer and vocalist, Efya, has revealed she falls in the ‘fear’ category, making it difficult for her to consider amy plans regarding marraige.

This is in spite of the fact that she is in her 30s.

The singer has said in a tweet that her fear of marriage is the fact that modern-day marriages are nothing compared to what transpired in marriages of old.

Musicians such as Sista Afia, Nafkassi Gh, Eshun have expressed readiness to bless Ghanaians with a vintage ‘Azonto’ song.

She is not re-branding her music career but only introducing another part of her she claims to have been hidden for so long a time.

Taking to Twitter on Thursday to let the cat out of the bag, Efya, born as Jane Awindor, introduced ‘Big Dragon’ saying:

“I have always believed there was two of me… since I have quite the character change sometimes … but there was always a part of me that I was afraid to show … due to standards that has been set for Efya… The Queen.”

Describing further, she continued, “and I love her she has come so far… and is still going … but she wants to share with u… another part of herself. ‘Big Dragon’ has no boundaries when it comes to the music. She sings it as it comes from within the soul, from the tears and the pain and the joy and the hurt.”

According to Efya, she doesn’t want her brand Efya to conflict with that of ‘Big Dragon’ because her alter ego has no chains or bonds to keep her in check.

“That part of me that has been sheltered… I want to let her free to sing her jazz!! Free to sing her soul and melodies that feel like air … I like that girl .. she’s something else … So come with me on the journey.. I must say I’m scared and excited at the same time,” she posted.

She further asked fans to continue to support her as she undertakes this daring experience.

Narrating her ordeal on TV3, MzVee said, “Efya understood my condition and helped me during my depression.”

The Sing My Name hitmaker indicated that she withdrew from friends and other people close to her because she was unhappy and stopped attending events.

The music diva recounted that there were times she locked herself up in her room and cried bitterly.

“When my whole depression thing happened, I did unfollow people…I just wanted time away. I was lashing out in ways I didn’t even understand…I pulled away from everyone…I coiled up in my shell,” MzVee revealed but failed to name the cause of her depression.

She said she has recovered from her depression and would soon release a new song.

According to her, she is focused on her music career and does not allow such comments to get to her.

“Sometimes when I see such bad comments I don’t get hurt by them, because I am focused on my music and wouldn’t allow people’s wrong perception of me get me down,” she said.

The songstress made these remarks in a conversation session of the ACCES Music In Africa Conference that was held in Accra.

Reacting to a question of how social media had influenced her musical career, Efya said social media was a major channel of promoting her music.

She said the advent of social media had given musicians the platform to share their works to the world, which rendered financial burdens to musicians in the past.

“Through social media, you can share your works to a wide range of people whom you might not be able to share to normally,” she said.

She advised up-and-coming artists to stay focus with their craft and work hard on it to make them stand out.

The ACCES Music In Africa Conference is an annual conference organised by the Music In Africa group to bring industry players in the music fraternity from around the world together to deliberate on how to make the music industry in the continent a success and make a meaningful impact in the lives of people.

The singer does not want to incur the wrath of fans of either Shatta Wale or Stonebwoy and the same applies to Sarkodie and M.anifest.

In a BBC Pidgin interview, the singer, who has worked more with Sarkodie, failed to pick her favourite between Sarkodie and M.anifest.

Obviously not forgetting the beef history between the two rappers, the ‘Best In Me’ singer did not want to be part of the drama.

“The bravest thing I’ve ever done was escaping a burning house alive,” she recounted.

According to her, she wanted to be a film director like her dad but her fate changed after she signed up for a singing competition.

Talking about her interest in doing films, Efya added that, “I wanted to be interviewing people and making the movies. I wanted to be like my dad.”

“I saw people singing for competition so I signed up. My plan wasn’t to go for the competition but I was chosen. I had to travel because it was summer but my mum told me to try the competition [and that made me],” she said.
