In a recent interview with ZionFelix, Dr. Likee revealed that his relationship ended because he was financially unstable.

Reflecting on his struggles as an up-and-coming actor, Dr. Likee recounted how his ex-girlfriend would often complain about his inability to provide for her after returning from movie sets empty-handed.

“In those days, things were not easy. Sometimes, you would tell your woman that you were going on set to shoot a movie, but you would come back with nothing in hand, and she would start complaining that you couldn’t help her,” he shared.

Dr. Likee highlighted the pressures that financially struggling men face in relationships, referencing the late South African reggae legend Lucky Dube, who also faced similar challenges.

He explained how men who are left due to financial difficulties often go on to achieve success after the breakup.

“A beautiful woman will surely meet a man who will show her ‘love’ with money when she steps out. Once that happens, she will leave you because you have nothing to offer her. But the moment the lady leaves is the very moment things begin to work out for you,” he said.

Dr. Likee added, “This happened to Lucky Dube… After the woman left, things began to get better for him. Then the child would ask why she didn’t stay with the father.”

He also touched on the unique challenges that stars face in their relationships, emphasizing the importance of spiritual guidance in overcoming these difficulties.

Dr. Likee recounted the moment he discovered the amount, detailing how Wode Maya advised him to check his balance and withdraw the money from the bank.

At the ATM, Dr. Likee said he was astonished as the machine continued to dispense dollars, which made him nervous.

He feared that there was a potential error or he would be accused of fraud due to the huge sum from an account that was initially almost empty.

However, the bank teller reassured him that the transaction was legitimate.

In an interview on Emelia Brobbey’s Okukuseku show, Dr. Likee said he immediately called Wode Maya to confirm the authenticity of the funds.

He said Wode Maya encouraged him to leverage the platform effectively and continue producing engaging content.

Overwhelmed by the experience, Dr. Likee said he hid the money when he returned home, and could not spend it until some time later.

Currently, Dr Likee expressed pride in becoming a top earner from YouTube in Ghana.

Accompanied by his usual crew, including Kyekeku and others who often feature in his YouTube skits, Dr. Likee went to present an invitation to Gyan for Kyekeku’s upcoming movie premiere in Accra.

Dr. Likee, true to his comedic nature, made a grand entrance with his trademark funny walk and outfit, drawing laughs from both his crew and the retired footballer.

In a video shared on Tiktok, Dr. Likee hilariously attempted to mimic Asamoah Gyan’s iconic moves from his footballing days, much to the delight of the retired player who watched from his balcony.

Asamoah Gyan, who famously captained the Black Stars and holds the record for the team’s all-time leading goalscorer, enjoyed the light-hearted moment.

This visit was to officially inform the former President about an upcoming clean-up exercise and health walk by Shaxi Ghana, an online ride-hailing service launched by musician, Shatta Wale.

The clean-up exercise and health walk will start from Breman UCG and end at the historic Manhyia Palace.

Reciprocating kindness showered on him since his emergence into the film industry, Dr Likee said it is only prudent he names his child after Gyan.

According to him, Gyan has played the daunting role of his godfather and offered him both financial and moral support.

“Asamoah Gyan is one of the few people who believed in my talent. Even when I was a nobody, he posted my skits and it went viral and that’s why I am here now. So for Asamoah Gyan, I owe him a lot. I will not be able to pay him back, so the child I will be welcoming next week will be named after him,” Dr Likee said, drawing cheers from his set mates.

On why he has reached that decision, Dr Likee said he wants his child to emulate the good attributes of Gyan which includes his love for his country.

Aside the benevolent factor, he further mentioned Asamoah Gyan’s supportive nature and team sprit as one of the reasons he would want his child to be raised in the identity of the legendary footballer.

Dr Likee broke the news when Asamoah Gyan paid him a surprise visit while he was filming on set.

This, in Dr Likee’s view is a testament of Gyan’s unwavering support for him and his entire team.

As a matter of fact, Asamoah Gyan purchased the camera which has shot all of Dr Likee’s hilarious films and skits.

After being announced the brand ambassador of Shaxi, a deal which made him a new car owner, Dr Likee is still not relenting.

He was spotted with the legendary Daddy Luma and from their interaction, it is safe to say they enjoyed each other’s company.

Dr Likee posted three photos from their meeting and in all, smiles abound.

In one of the photos, they were in a goofy mood as though they were dancing while other’s captured them in embrace.

Sharing the photos, the comic actor asked his fans to anticipate a collaboration that is beyond expectataions.

He also expressed gratitude to Daddy Lumba for welcoming him in with open arms.

Shatta has gifted comic actor and youtuber, Dr Likee a brand new car in appreciation for the support the latter has dedicated to his Shaxi business.

Since Shatta Wale announced his online-hailing ride, Shaxi, multiple celebrities have been made brand ambassadors and the latest to join Medikal and Fella Makafui in that category is Dr Likee.

As part of the package, Dr Likee took delivery of a red Hyundai Elantra in the company of other Kumawood actors and skit producers.

The handing over was done by Sammy Flex and a close ally of Shatta Movement who made the presentation on behalf of Shatta Wale.

For the next year, Shatta Wale covers insurance and maintenance to ensure smooth running of the branded car.

Speaking on the news, Dr Likee said his garage is gradually expanding, kind courtesy Shatta Wale.

He expressed excitement that his quota to the business has been recognised and rewarded, pledging to fulfil his mantle as an ambassador.

The three-month-old passed on in the noon hours of Tuesday, February 28, 2023 over undisclosed causes.

The toddler was buried on Wednesday morning in the presence of family, friends and some actors including Shifo and Gye Nyame.

Videos shared of the sad event captured her little coffin and grave and mourners who could not hold back their tears.

Since the announcement of the demise, Kumawood actors have trooped to Dr Likee’s home to offer condolences.

Also, social media is awash with touching messages to Likee whose job is to make his fans smile through his comic skits.

Dr Likee lost his 3-month-old baby on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

In view of this, movie stars have shown up at his home in Kumasi to commiserate with his grieving lover.

Among them was Collins Oteng, better known as Okomfo Kolagee who sent touching words of inspiration to Dr Likee.

According to him, losing his wife this year has helped him better understand the concept of life and death.

Okomfo Kolagae prayed for the God of comfort to locate Dr Likee and give him the strength to endure the trying period.

He also called on the Kumawood fraternity to remember their bereaved colleague in prayers and show him the same support as they did when he lost his wife.

According to Kumawood actors, Komfo Kolege and colleague KyinkyinaaTwaan, who broke the news, the baby died in the early hours of Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

The actors have since joined Ras Nene at his residence to mourn with him and his family.

The celebrity match, which took place at the Breman AstroTurf park, saw the likes of Agya Koo, Akrobeto, Dr. Likee, Big Akwes, Yaw Dabo and Frank Naro, among others.

The match started with Yaw Dabo’s soccer academy giving the bloggers a run for their monies in a game that ended 3-0.

In a sharp contrast, the defeated bloggers captained by Zionfelix managed to save their faces when they scored against the actors.

Their joy was, however, short-lived. The actors equalized and tighten their defense as the game ended in a 1-1 score.

The final decider was a penalty shootout which went in favour of the bloggers, making them the winners of the celebrity gala.

Despite their ages, Akrobeto and Agya Koo exhibited their football prowess in a way that surprised spectators.

The actresses were not left out; they motivated the players with chants and jama songs.

According to him, a similar gesture got him hooked to drinking and smoking after he was given the opportunity to sell drinks and cigarettes to customers when he was a little boy.

He explained that, out of curiosity, he tasted the locally distilled alcohol (Akpeteshie) several times and that led him to start smoking cigarettes in no time.

“If you are home with a kid, never ask them to buy jot and drinks,” he advised.

Ras Nene, the actor who played his real life gangster character in movies, added that, it took the intervention of God and being focused to escape the “street” lifestyle that has propelled his life to become better.

The two have not just been friends for many years but colleagues in the Kumawood industry.

Shifo has been with Dr Likee through the days they were yet to be known, and he is still a member of Likee’s crew for his skit production.

It was after one of their usual recordings that Dr Likee surprised Shifo with a brand new sedan car to the amazement of other casts present.

Shifo was beside himself with joy and full of gratitude when he hopped into his new car for a test drive.

The artiste, who had initially mentioned Dr Likee as one of her favourite comic actors, was star struck when she met Dr Likee.

According to her, he has been her source of happiness and a distraction from the current economic system.

It is for this reason she organized a link-up with the actor during her media tour in Kumasi, where Dr Likee was also shooting a skit.

The Ga Goddess stormed the set and managed to steal a tight hug from Dr Likee to the amazement of other actors.

Cina posted snippets of the meeting on her Instagram page with the caption, “That moment I finally met @official_ras_nene . Omg I was so happy!!”

Tutu, also an actor and a friend to Ras Nene, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2021 in his hometown near Bonwire in the Ashanti region after a short ailment.

Ras Nene who is known on social media as Dr. Likee has been left heartbroken.

He took to his Instagram page to mourn his late friend whom he described as a brother.

Dr. Likee shared a photo of late Tutu on Instagram and wrote: “Rest in Perfect peace my brother You will always remain in my heart”.

In the case of LilWin and Dr Likee, the former was the case as they exhibited friendly gestures when they met on set.

Tension was brewing between the artistes after Ghanaians hailed Dr Likee for bringing an end to LilWin’s long reign in the Kumawood industry.

LilWin hit back, describing Dr Likee as just a popular person with Youtube likes, and as such should not be compared to a legend like him.

Days after the brag, the duo met at an event and Dr Likee tried his possible best to avoid an encounter with his colleague, by faking a phone call when LilWin approached.

LilWin and his team made a mockery of the emerging comic act after videos from the event went viral.

However, in a latest video in circulation, Dr Likee gathered the balls to be in the same space with the actor-turned producer after they were both featured for an upcoming movie.

They were being hailed by the movie director for exhibiting professionalism on set to dispute any claim of bad blood between them.
