The self-styled apostle is said to have stolen the money from her Consolidated Bank Ghana account.

The junior pastor reportedly placed over ten bets a day using the stolen funds and also used her card to purchase items from Amazon.

As a result, Diana Asamoah took the necessary steps to have him apprehended.

“The Holy Spirit has helped me catch another thief who is brandishing himself as an apostle. This time around, I will not withdraw the case. I will allow him to spend time in jail” she fumed.

She revealed that, she has contacted all the banks she is affiliated to cancel her ATM cards and ensure that no funds could be withdrawn without her approval.

Diana Asamoah has also requested detailed statements for all transactions to track the unauthorized withdrawals.

“If I hadn’t found out on time, my account would have been emptied before I knew it,” she bemoaned.

This incident marks the second time Ms. Asamoah has had to involve the Police in matters of theft by her staff.

According to her, she approached Kaywa, who was managing Mr Drew at the time on a potential collaboration.

To her surprise, Kaywa revealed that her name was deliberately included in the song as part of a planned action to provoke a response from her.

Kaywa said they strategically chose someone with clout, like Diana Asamoah, in the hopes that she would retaliate to her name being mentioned in the song.

Despite the calculated move, the gospel musician decided not to engage in the planned beef.

She recounted that, her producer urged her to respond, but upon listening to her inner divine guidance, she chose to decline.

The veteran musician took a strong exception to Ms Asamoah’s plea for him to stop begging after he was gifted a Toyota car by Prophet Bernard El Bernard.

Following his public outcry, well-wishers have made hefty donations to Akwasi Boateng to help alleviate his financial woes, settle his debts and cater for his children’s fees.

But to Diana Asamoah, that act is tantamount to begging, as she urged her colleague to invest wisely instead.

She suggested that, he use the car for Uber to generate income.

She is of the view that a gospel minister requesting for help undermines the supremacy of God, quizzing that “is he not the same person who sang that no servant of the Lord will beg for bread?”

However, her unsolicited opinion was not appreciated by Akwasi Boateng who saw it as an insult.

He expressed disappointment in Diana Asamoah and charged her to keep her unwarranted and disrespectful divine direction to herself.

When questioned about the speculation that she had been gifted a house and car by the party, Diana Asamoah said such matters are private.

However, she did not shy away from addressing the potential backlash from the public, particularly concerning the use of taxpayers’ money to spend lavishly on her.

In an interview on Accra FM monitored by Adomonline.com, the gospel musician said if the rumours were indeed true, then she is just reaping the rewards of her hard work.

When pressed to give a concrete response on receiving juicy packages, she quoting the wise sayings of Isaiah 65:21-24, which says individuals are entitled to enjoy the fruits of their labour.

During an interview on Hit FM’s morning show, Daybreak Hitz, with Andy Dosty, Ms. Asamoah said she used to be a pupils teacher.

She indicated that, her father, who was also a teacher influenced her career path after completing her elementary education in 1987.

“When I completed school my father wanted me to learn how to sew clothes in Kumasi but he had not bought the sewing machine and other things I needed at that time so I thought of selling beans, soap and other items. However, he did not like the idea of me moving around people’s houses to sell. He feared that I could be raped” Diana Asamoah narrated.

Consequently, she said she had to take her chances as a pupil teacher at St Monica’s School.

Her impressive performance gained her employment in the school.

Though she is not fluent in English, Diana Asamoah said she taught the queen’s language, together with Geography, Twi and any other subjects.

Interestingly, she said none of the pupils she taught failed in their examinations.

She believes the NPP candidate will beat the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama in the upcoming presidential elections.

“I am an NPP member, I like the NPP people and my father Nana Akufo-Addo. By God’s grace, Dr. Bawumia will win the presidential elections come 2024” she said.

Speaking on Hitz FM, the evangelist said she would not be disappointed if Bawumia loses the election because she is positive he will come out victorious.

“Nana Akufo-Addo stood for president three times and didn’t win, I wasn’t disappointed, I still stood by him till he became President but Bawumia won’t be disappointed because he will win in Jesus’ name” she prayed.

Diana Asamoah also revealed that, she will be releasing a campaign song for the Vice President ahead of the elections.

“Being in politics is my business, I will call a spade a spade, and I will soon release a song for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia” she added.

In her view, government in the last seven years has done extremely well especially in the area of job creation.

In an interview on TV3, the gospel musician said about 90 percent of Ghanaians have jobs under the Akufo-Addo government.

“I’ll never criticize the President. There are people who say they don’t have jobs and there are people who have jobs. 90% of Ghanaians have jobs” he stated.

Diana Asamoah indicated that, the youth complaining about jobs are just lazy.

“Most youth do not like working because they want quick money. Immediately they complete school they want to start driving. They are lazy and unproductive” she bemoaned.

In response to why she involves herself in politics, Diana Asamoah said politics is everywhere even in churches.

“Politics is more in the churches these days so there is nothing wrong with me doing it,” she added.

According to her, she began her Christian journey on the wrong foot due to some false doctrines by the late ‘Apraku My Daughter’ and other preachers.

Diana Asamoah revealed that, some doctrines she heard in her early stages as a Christian made her develop the wrong perception of how a Christian woman should dress.

She disclosed this in an interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning show on Wednesday.

“When I gave my life to Christ, there were a lot of false doctrines. Apraku My Daughter was the famous pastor by then. So, my church invited him, and when he came, he said that a dwarf took him to a forest where it was revealed to him that ladies’ hair cream is made of blood, the powder is from the ashes of human bones, including make-up products and others, and he made us understand that anyone involved in such things wouldn’t make it to heaven,” she narrated to Roselyn Felli.

Hearing that as a new convert, fear gripped Diana Asamoah, and she could not help but believe because she was not well acquainted with the Bible and going to heaven was her focus at that moment, hence she would not permit such a lifestyle to block her chance of going to heaven.

Asked if Apraku My Daughter was the reason why she did not wear makeup and dressed fashionably; she said, “Yes, because he said they were produced by ‘Maame Water’ [Marine spirits] and so when you do it, you will go into the river and not heaven.”

She later got an understanding of the word of God with the help of a pastor called Ato Haggan, which changed her ideology about dressing stylishly, including marriage.

The evangelist supports the belief that marriage is ordained by God, and He unites both partners when the time is right. Therefore, she is single because she has not asked for a husband. But she also believes strongly that when she puts her request before God, it will surely be answered.

Recently, Diana Asamoah set social media ablaze with her new look and appearance in the gospel music fraternity. She received a lot of criticism from fans and some industry players.

Despite that, the “Madanse Die” singer is not willing to give up anytime soon as she intensifies her dressing in her newly released video of the remixed version of her track, “Mabo Wo Din.”

She says the “Afunumuba” hit maker lacks knowledge when it comes to the Bible and the work of God.

Diana Asamoah passed this comment in response to Cecelia Marfo blaming her and Kennedy Agyapong for the near-collapse of her church.

But speaking on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning, she explained that it is the work of God and not humans; and therefore, Cecelia Marfo must be grateful to God for the current number of members in her church.

“I’ve seen that Cecilia is not a pastor or a servant of God who knows the Bible… It is God’s work, and He has called us all. Her church hasn’t collapsed; God has even helped her because the Bible says, ‘Wherever two or more people are gathered, God is with them’. So, if He has given you 40, it means He’s been good to you,” the evangelist told Roselyn Felli.

Elaborating why she thinks that way, she added that Cecelia Marfo would not blame someone for the reduction in the numbers in her church if she was well acquainted with the word of God.

The “Mabo Wo Din” singer emphasised the need for Cecelia Marfo to adhere to the word of God as a way to revive her church rather than allegedly spitting into people’s mouths.

A few days ago, Cecelia Marfo broke down in tears in an interview on the Joy Prime channel while disclosing that her church membership had declined from almost 400 to 40. She admitted that the drastic reduction was due to bad publicity from Assin Central Member of Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong and Diana Asamoah.

The 2023 New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant was among vehement critics who descended harshly on the preacher over her activities in her church. She also received backlash from her colleague gospel musician, Evangelist Diana Asamoah, for allegedly spitting into congregants’ mouths in the name of performing miracles.

Following her comment on the issue and the controversy it generated, Diana Asamoah reconciled with her fellow artiste at her event, where they both performed together.

However, Cecelia Marfo seems not to be satisfied considering how the matter unfolded, but Diana Asamoah has clarified that it was an advice from her and not a condemnation.

She claimed Madam Marfo deviated from the biblical teachings in her bid to attract more followers.

This comes after Cecilia Marfo cried in an interview on Joy Prime about the collapse of her church.

She revealed that, her church has drastically declined in membership from 400 to just 40.

But, Evangelist Diana Asamoah said the predicament of her colleague is self-inflicted.

She is convinced if Cecilia Marfo given the unction on her life had stuck of the real teachings of Christ, she would have been a very big woman of God in Ghana.

Diana Asamoah urged pastors to use Madam Marfo’s predicament as a lesson and focus on the work of God.

“Those of you using shear butter, Aidan fruit [known in the local language as ‘Prekese’], and other things to establish your churches, should learn a lesson from Cecilia Marfo’s situation and advise yourselves otherwise, you will also start crying profusely like Cecilia Marfo. If you don’t practice what the Bible says and you use your ways, the world will come against you,” she said in an interview on Angel FM.

According to her, she has turned down these offers to focus on her ministry and service to God.

In an interview on Okay FM, Diana Asamoah shed light on her current relationship status and her reasons to stay single.

“So many men have come into my life but I do not allow them because I want to focus on the work of God. I have been in full-time ministry for a long time” she explained.

Diana Asamoah said the work of God is her number one priority even though she occasionally engages in other activities such as politics and philanthropy.

“Among all the endeavors I’m involved in, including politics, philanthropy, and ministry work, my ministry takes precedence” she added.

In her opinion, the pastor’s utterance that “there are finer girls in his church so she can leave” is distasteful and should not have come from someone who identifies as a Minister of God.

“Bible says by their fruit you shall know them and the sins of the flesh include fornication and adultery. Bible says only death and adultery cause divorce so if you’ve faulted and your wife is complaining, you shouldn’t utter certain words.”

Speaking in an interview with Roselyn Felli on Prime Morning, he said what convinced Diana to say ‘yes’, was when he complimented her cuteness.

Narrating the incident, Brother Sammy said when Diana heard the compliment, she was wowed; and that made her embrace his request for them to get married.

According to him, the singer had never received such a compliment before and therefore when it fell from his lips, she obliged for them to settle down as husband and wife.

‘I told her that she’s cute, and she said ‘waow’”, Brother Sammy recounted on Wednesday.

“Marriage has killed many people. As for me I love children more than marriage. Giving birth is better than getting married.

In a self-taken video, Diana tasked her colleague to return to the Pentecost church to be re-trained since her actions demonstrate she is immature despite possessing God’s grace.

Even after Cecilia Marfo had apologized for her actions amid tears, Diana went on to drag her and described her entire apology as a façade to gain sympathy of Ghanaians.

Diana Asamoah intimated that she will never apologize to Cecilia Marfo for lambasting her because she also subjected other gospel musicians to ridicule.

However, a latest video currently in circulation has shown that the two artistes have buried the hatchet.

They were photographed hugging and locked in a conversation at Diana Asamoah’s 2022 Abba Father all-white concert which happened at the University of Professional Studies, (UPSA).

During an interview on “Move with SammyKay”, the gospel musician indicated that she has only heard of the hardship in the country but has not experienced it.

According to her, the hardships currently happening has been inscribed in the scriptures and referenced “Daniel 11:32” for the basis for her assertion.

Diana Asamoah, therefore, explained that her reliance on God is the key, hence she is blessed beyond measure despite the melting Ghanaian economy.

Following her latest ‘slaying for Christ’ and some actions people have described as ungodly, there has been wide speculations of a lover exposing her to the sins of the flesh from under the bedsheets.

But, Diana Asamoah has remarked that such naysayers are only trying to project their lifestyle onto her, adding that the even blood of Jesus cannot redeem the corrupt minds of such persons.

She went on to say that “she has not tasted anything sweet” other than the word of God which is always being manifested on her tongue and body.

The musician, who is in her forties, stated emphatically that she is a virgin but she has no plans of breaking her virginity or even tying the knot anytime soon.

She warned detractors not to associate her with anything immoral as she holds with pride her identity as a Minister of God.

The ceremony, according to him, will take place on March 27, 2023, at Manor House, North London in the United Kingdom.

With plans to contest the presidential seat in 2024, Kumchacha stated Miss Asamoah will be a great fit as Ghana’s First Lady when he comes into power.

“Her dressing lately speaks a lot that she is qualified for the position and I cannot wait to make her my wife,” he declared on Accra-based Okay FM.

Prophet Kumchacha claimed that he has deeply fallen in love with the musician and is convinced nothing under the sun can stop him from making the latter his wife.

Miss Asamoah, who is currently in Israel, revealed she met him while embarking on her pilgrimage.

Basking with joy, Diana in a video sighted on TikTok announced God’s favour has abounded for her in Isreal as finding a husband was her major prayer point.

She promised to bring her new found husband to Ghana and asked her fans not to have any doubts about that.

To the shock of her fans and followers, Miss Asamoah did not even know the man’s name prior to the introduction and had to ask in the video.

The ‘husband-to-be’ later identified himself as Musheera.

The video has attracted hilarious reactions from followers with many asking Diana to add comedy to her musical career.

A letter dated August 4 stated that the termination of her contract was due to several breaches of verbal agreement to work together after 22 years.

The terms of the contract termination listed some harsh conditions which include takeover of her social media platform, ‘The Evangelist Diana Asamoah’ on Facebook.

She was also restricted from any financial right of listed songs produced during her time with the music production.

Also, the record label will dissociate itself from of her annual concert dubbed ‘Abba Father.’

In a statement, Miss Asamoah said she accepts the terms of termination including the former management’s disassociation from the Mabo Wo Din company and all its accounts as well as the Abba Father concert.

She, however, requested that any matter concerning the remixing or remaking of her songs should be duly discussed with one Pastor Simon Boama who is the writer and author.

“With reference to the conclusive part of your letter I plead to differ, any future issues with regards to me (Evangelist Diana Asamoah) using the songs, remaking or remixing them should kindly be channelled to Pastor Simon Boama the writer and author of the songs,” portions of the statement read.

The royal funeral will be held on Monday, September 19, at Westminster Abbey in London, Buckingham Palace has confirmed.

In a viral video on social media, she said since the Ashanti Kingdom holds the record of hosting some of the historic funerals in the country, the two leaders should lobby for the Queen’s funeral to be held in Ghana.

The ‘Ye Hia Wadom’ hitmaker explained that the funeral rites of Prince Philip, who was the Duke of Edinburgh, as well as the husband of the late Queen, were not benefitting enough, looking at the high status he held when he was alive.

Therefore, as a royal, the Asantehene should do his due diligence in ensuring that the Queen’s funeral is held in Ghana.

Diana’s epic and cryptic message; Save the Date, has sparked rumours of her upcoming wedding.

The post she made on Facebook saw her in a loved up photo with veteran Highife musician, Dada KD.

Their demeanor and the wide smile on the Tetelestai hitmaker’s face has led her 994k followers to conclude that, she will soon be off the market after over 40 years of spinsterhood.

Others have also argued that, the post could be a possible music collaboration.

Dada KD, who did not confirm or deny the claims, said they will break the internet on September 3, 2022.

He further fueled speculations with the caption, “what’s being put together, None should try and set asunder”.

The evangelist has declared her intention to ‘slay’ for God, the reason she now invests in her clothes, hair, makeup, shoes and bags.

In a latest video published by her stylist, Nana Asante Augustine, the musician looked exquisite in a white blazer, trouser with and flawless makeup.

Although many have chastised her for concentrating on her outward appearance instead of the word of God, she said looking good does not make her a sinner.

But her journey to the land of fame was not a smooth ride despite her determination to resist all odds.

Miss Asamoah has opened up on her days as a teacher, a side of her many fans and followers are not privy to.

According to her, this was a temporal career she took up after her form four education as someone who spent most of her childhood life at Asante Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

“I wasn’t interested in education so from class six going to JHS 1, I stayed at home for a month because I did not want to return to school but I managed to complete form four and went to stay with an aunty to help with her trade,” she narrated.

This she told Afia Amankwa Tamakloe on the M’ahyεaseε was the decision of her father who was a headmaster.

“My father after some time asked that I should be brought to him during which I proposed to go into buying and selling but he vehemently resisted as an educationist.

“Just around the same time, a female teacher was going to the training college and my father suggested I take her place in the school,” she recounted.

The Akoko Abon hitmaker indicated she was not assigned a specific class but acted more of a caretaker for a class whenever a teacher was absent.

When asked if she had any challenges, particularly with language, she said, “English was not a problem for me since at that time, we spoke more of Twi during lessons so it was okay.”

However, for reasons she did not state, she had to quit after about eight months to learn sewing which she did for about four and half years.

Despite her excellent skills with fabric designs, she noted she could not pursue that as a full-time career as her evangelism ministry was birthed around that time and she felt a strong desire to go that path.

Speaking on Adom FM’s Entertainment Hall show with host Mike 2, the pundit said she is living contrary to what she preached when she was a budding gospel musician.

Diana has startled many of her fans with her recent rebranding where she has been captured many times putting on makeup and applying lipsticks; wearing wigs and high heels among other modern fashion trends that she has been patronising.

Her gesture has come as a surprise to many because lots of gospel musicians, especially Diana Asamoah aren’t noted for such a blossom brand.

According to Diana, she has changed her ways because she was made to believe it was a “sin”, adding that, she has travelled to many countries and realised the development of accepting modernism.

She explained that she has matured in Christ and understands the word of God better hence her perception of these things has changed.

“You have decided to tag me as a slay queen but I will turn it into something positive. I will continue to slay. If you want to use that to smear me with something negative and evil, I will turn it into something positive,” she said.

Reacting to this Mr Gyan said Diana Asamoah has to render an apology to people that she was preaching to when she was an evangelist at the beginning stages of her pastoral and music career.

She used to be against trousers but now she wears makeup, lipstick and wig; saying she is slaying for Christ… it means she has deceived people.

She only started preaching with a bad orientation and some people have a primitive mind. Growing up, they had their personal doctrines which they used to frighten others, he said.

Diana Asamoah has been in the news for some months following her style of dressing and her actions.

A section of Ghanaians believes the gospel musician is being swayed into the path of destruction.

Speaking in an interview, Miss Asamoah explained: “It is not against the 10 commandments if a lady wears high heels, wigs and makeups.”

According to her, she condemned such ladies because she was naïve in Christianity.

“It got to a point I was having this belief that those who go to hotel will go to hell.

“I realised my manager was not happy about my style of dressing because sometimes he feels shy to move with me due to how I dressed,” she explained.

“I’m still evangelist and nothing has changed. Wearing high heel, wigs and makeups is not a sin. People should know that I’m now matured in Christianity.

“I remember when I went to one of the foreign countries for a programme and my manager showed me my hotel room, I told him I will never sleep in the hotel because I don’t want to sin against the Almighty God,” she recounted.

Miss Asamoah has for some time now been making the headlines with her stunning looks and makeup and that has got many talking.

This is because she had years ago preached against the wearing of make-up and described it as a sin and hindrance to heaven.

But in response to the diverse comments her new lifestyle had garnered recently, she disclosed she wears make-up because she now understands Christianity better.

In the latest video sighted on Instagram, she was all glammed up beaming with smiles as a stylist helped to fix her wig.

Ghanaians have opined that she has upgraded her look following her choice of dressing to a place believed to be a shopping mall.

The evangelist rocked a one sleeved dress and a pair of high heels, coupled with sunglasses to complement her look.

The gospel duo won the hearts of many with their thrilling praise and worship sessions at the colourful party held in the lawmaker’s home at Agona Kwanyarko.

Touched by the kind gesture, the MP, who is affectionately called ‘Obaatanpa,’ due to her positive impact on her constituents, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to God, her husband, children, her family, chiefs, party executives and specifically to fans, who have supported her over the years.

The rapper has explained he had been crushing on Miss Asamoah since his days in Junior High School (JHS).

The rapper, born Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, said he knew the musician long before her journey into stardom.

“When I was in JHS at Bethel, she was at CAC at Bantama so I used to see her often and since I grew up with both of us in the same industry I have loved her more,” he disclosed in an interview on Accra-based Kingdom Plus FM.

He also revealed that he has drawn so much inspiration from the gospel act despite being a secular musician and that has gone a long way to help him in his career.

Meanwhile, he added he wouldn’t mind collaborating with her on a song.

Miss Asamoah has been summoned to appear before the Council at the Ga Mantse palace at 9:00am on Monday, May 10, 2021.

The songstress had in a Facebook Live video, which has since gone viral, said the strength of God would ensure that very soon the traditional festival Homowo would no longer be celebrated in Accra.

To the Council, her comments were derogatory, adding such a divisive statement has the tendency to foment trouble in Ghana.

She has since come out to render an unqualified apology to the traditional authorities and the entire populace for speaking against the revered traditional heritage and culture of the Ga people.

According to her, any colleague who encounters an incident like what happened should not take it lightly.

The gospel musician, years ago, preached against the wearing of make-up and described it as a sin and hindrance to heaven.

“At first I thought make-up was a sin and I wouldn’t make it to heaven but the ex- chairman of Pentecost, Apostle Opoku Onyina brought clarity on that and I have also discovered a lot through prayers and the bible,” she stated.

She is, thus, now of the view that her faith and growth in Christianity have opened her eyes better.

Miss Asamoah disclosed this in an interview on Joy News‘ AM show when host Mamavi Owusu Aboagye hit her with the question.

Explaining further on her new lifestyle, she quoted 1 Corinthians 13:11 which read: “When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.”

However, reacting to the viral photo in an interview on Kumasi-based Hello FM, she said it will be a disgrace for her to get pregnant and give birth out of wedlock.

“I ate a lot of banku with okro and the attire was also too tight so the sitting position before the photo was snapped gave such an impression,” she clarified.

The 40-year-old, who is single, noted she is not in a competition with anyone when it comes to childbirth, adding that God will give her a husband if she needs one.

The actress said she has for a while followed Jamaican reggae icon, Bob Marley’s style of music and lyrics and that has inspired most of her music.

Sensible songs, devoid of any controversy that are always refreshing when played years later, are some of the features she has tapped from Bob Marley songs.

Diana Asamoah said her acquired knowledge has taught her not to go beyond her field in her quest to trend as that will sway her from the purpose of the Ministry.

The ‘Onyame Ba’ lyricist confessed that despite her fame, none of her songs were written by her but her way of glorifying the Most High has elevated her in life.
