Counsellor Lutterodt, as he is popularly known, has dominated the headlines over his comments that rape victims at a point enjoy the act.

He has received lots of backlash amid a petition for him to be banned from media engagements. However, unperturbed Mr Lutterodt says he stands by his comments.

The latest to wade into the conversation is IHRO, who, in a statement, has called on the African Court on People’s and Human Rights- Hague to take action against him.

They have explained they are joining forces with the Gender Ministry to call the counsellor to order and prevent him from speaking at any local or international media house.

Entertainment pundit, Emmanuel Barnes, popularly known as Mr Logic, says Ghanaians must treat Counsellor Lutterodt in equal measure as Akuapem Poloo.

The controversial counsellor in an interview said every rape victim enjoys the act at some point, a statement which has angered many on social media with people calling for his head in a petition.

In an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, the counsellor said he doesn’t know why he would have to retract his statement because it was based on his research findings and victims who have approached his desk for counselling.

But Mr Logic, reacting to it said, the counsellor is only exposing his folly.

According to him, Mr Lutterodt spoke in an uncivilised manner, hence must be treated the same way.

We should treat him like we are doing to Akuapem Poloo. He talks on top of his voice like he is the wisest guy. I can tell you frankly he needs psychological counselling himself. You can be intelligent but how you apply it is another issue.

He was trying to beat around the bush. Whether you rape or molest, you have still invaded a privacy. I think the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection should rise against him.

You speak for fun. Speak with knowledge so when you are accounted for your words you can defend.

According to him, Counsellor Lutterodt made a “generic” statement which can rather cause many women to be raped.

In an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM Friday, Mr Tsegah said Counsellor Lutterodt wants to trend, hence the reason he made such an unguarded statement.

Lutterodt is just looking for mileage. And I know that is why he made such unguarded statement. He is trying to do damage control. He generalised it and you do not do that. Because people will get the impression that if I try and rape someone somewhere she will fall for me.

So if you are the abuser make sure the person enjoys it and that is the psyche he is putting in the heads of people. He should be arrested. He shouldn’t try and justify it, he should rather come out sorry.

I have seen a very shallow part of him, anyone who is deep, even if you go through research, you should know it has a margin of error… don’t think based on your research. In fact, he got it wrong, he should come out and apologise, he said.

Contrary to some reactions that his statement is absolutely ‘rubbish’ and a motivation for rape, Counsellor Lutterodt believes he spoke nothing but the truth, devoid of controversy.

Speaking in an interview on Okay FM, he explained he was born as an immortal being unto this earth to speak about whatever concerns him, and he will continue unapologetically.

To him, any ordinary being who criticises his action affirms the fact that there is a ‘demonic attack in our mentality’.

“What I said is the truth so if anyone has a personal vendetta against me, they should bear in mind that whoever sent me is ready to protect me. I am not an ordinary human being; I am the son of a ghost. If your understanding and interpretation are different, where have I faulted?” he quizzed.

Reacting to a petition signed by some 10,000 Ghanaians to ban him from speaking in mass media, and be punished for his statement, Counsellor Lutterodt said he is ready to face a million more who will go against him.

Meanwhile, his comments warranted fury from some top-rated personalities including Ama K. Abebrese, Juliet Ibrahim and EL, who are championing his ban petition.

Proud Lutterodt, taking to social media to announce the delivery, shared a photo in which he is seen holding the new baby with a heart-warming message to his wife.

“Happy Delivery day to my wife Mrs Counselor Lutterodt from Rev Counselor Lutterodt and my extended family members,” the post read.

He further wished for ”long life and good health” from above for the mother of his kids while praying for divine blessing for her.

He, however, did not disclose the gender of the baby and day of delivery.

This was after the controversial counsellor described the show as disguised prostitution.

Freelove, who was not pleased with the comments amid tears, challenged the views of Counsellor Lutterodt.

The late Kwadwo Wiafe, who was in the studio and could not stand the confrontation which was heating up, hugged Freelove as he consoled her to stop crying.

With no remorse from the Counsellor who stood by his claims, Mr Wiafe, who had possibly had enough of the drama, cautioned Mr Lutterodt to desist from such attitude which was uncouth and unbecoming.
