The finale was held at Silicon House in Accra.

A total of 16 communities were battling for the ultimate and after weeks of stiff competition, Amasaman has been crowned champions of the competition.

Amasaman amazed a total of 42 points in the finals of the competition after three rounds.

An amount f Ghc2,000 was handed over to the winners with souvenirs from sponsors whiles Kwashiman, who were the runners ups also took home Ghc1,000.

The maiden edition of the Asempa FM Community Sports Quiz was to engage the sports audience and test their knowledge on the field of sports.

Speaking ahead of the finals, Head of Sports for Asempa FM, Enoch Kwasi Worlanyo Wallace, expressed his delight after weeks of exciting sports quiz.

“All the contestants have done their best right from the start of the programme and the final will surely be exciting. 

“Asempa FM has an exciting package and surprises for listeners. The next edition of the competition will be more exciting with bigger prizes to be won.

The participating communities were Nima, Darkuman, Osu, Odorkor, Amasaman, Nungua and Kwashieman.

The others were Ayigbe Town, Tabora, Kisseman, Santa Maria, Abossey Okai, Dansoman, Labadi, Accra Newtown and Kasoa.

Speaking at the launch, Asempa FM’s head of Sports, Enoch Kwasi Worlanyo Wallace, urged the participants to approach the competition with all seriousness.

“We are delighted to bring this initiative on board and we are also grateful for coming on board,” he said.

“We always want to do something for our consumers and we are delighted for accepting to compete for this maiden programme of ours.

“Approach this programme with all seriousness and make sure you put in your maximum best so we can all have a successful competition.
