A 19-year-old first-year student at the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Enoch Eshun, has received a brand-new car and ₵20,000 from a sponsor who was moved by his plight.

The gift was kind courtesy the CEO of Yesu Dea, a subsidiary of VIP Buses Transport Services Limited, Yaw Amponsah Marfo alias Agya Wiase, to support his mobility and ease his financial burdens.

Enoch, who has been living with a rare medical condition that has left him unable to sit or bend for the past five years, gained widespread attention after an interview he granted to blogger Zion Felix went viral.

His story touched many Ghanaians as it highlighted the daily struggles he faces as a student who must remain standing or lying down due to his condition.

Deeply moved by the young man’s ordeal,Mr. Amponsah Marfo made the decision to donate a Hyundai Tucson and ₵20,000 to his mother to support them.

Before receiving the car, Enoch’s condition made commuting a major challenge.

Due to his inability to sit, he had to hire private vehicles daily to attend lectures and carry out activities on campus, an arrangement that placed a huge financial strain on him and his family.

The donation of the car is expected to make movement easier for him, ensuring he can pursue his education without the constant worry of transportation costs.

Enoch described the donation as a life-changing blessing as he thanked Mr. Amponsah Marfo for his kindness and generosity, as well as all Ghanaians who have supported him since his story went public.

His mother, who also received financial support, was equally emotional and grateful, noting that the gesture would bring great relief to their family.
