Occupants of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) campaign vehicle which was gutted by fire on the Sampa road are said to have escaped unhurt and in good condition.

They included the Jaman North NPP Parliamentary Candidate, Enoch Nyarko and four supporters.

Information gathered by Adom News suggests the team were travelling to Korase in the Jaman North Constituency to donate sets of jerseys and footballs to the youth when the incident happened on Thursday.

At Old Drobo to Ponkor junction on the Sampa-Drobo stretch in the Bono region, the pickup carrying a sound system and generator in the bucket caught fire with the items burnt beyond recognition.

The cause of the accident is however yet to be established.

A campaign vehicle and sound system belonging to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Ghana’s Jaman North District have been completely destroyed by fire on Sampa road.

Footage shared on social media showed the vehicle engulfed in flames as onlookers stood by.

No apparent efforts were made to extinguish the blaze.

The fire gutted the vehicle beyond repair, leaving only charred remains.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and party officials are yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.

The scene has sparked concerns about the safety of campaign equipment and the need for quick response mechanisms in emergencies.
