In a statement, the club said any fans found guilty of throwing objects would face serious consequences.

A video posted on social media shows a hand holding a glass bottle, then the word “go” being shouted before it is launched at the window of the coach.

Liverpool drew 0-0 with their arch-rivals in the Premier League encounter.

“Liverpool Football Club utterly condemns the actions that led to damage being caused to the Manchester United team bus during its arrival at Anfield this afternoon,” the statement read.

“We are aware of footage of the incident circulating online and are working with Merseyside Police to fully investigate and identify those responsible.

“Any individuals found guilty of this reprehensible behaviour will also face the full force of the club’s sanction process.”

This is not the first instance of an opposition team bus being pelted with objects at an away ground.

In 2018, Manchester City’s bus was attacked before their Champions League quarter-final with Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield.

The Reds apologised and called the behaviour “completely unacceptable”.

Then in April 2023, Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation after Liverpool’s coach was attacked on its journey back from the Etihad Stadium following a league match.

The buses, when delivered, will be run commercially by any bus operator in the country, a process he said they were currently deliberating.

“Money is shy, those who deal with you over money and those financing, you in one way or the other, don’t want you to disclose them and make so much noise. The financial institution is ready to help”, he said.

“Don’t forget that institutions have other clients too who will not be happy when you reveal who they are, till the contract is fully done. So, for one reason or the other, we don’t want to do any disclosures”, he added.

Boy travels 143 miles from Morocco to Spain under bus https://www.adomonline.com/boy-travels-143-miles-morocco-spain-bus/ Tue, 27 Jun 2017 09:17:07 +0000 http://35.232.176.128/ghana-news/?p=250551 A boy survived a perilous 143 mile journey from Morocco to Spain hanging underneath a bus, it has emerged.

Footage has emerged of the moment emergency services led the migrant away after the bus had arrived in the Spanish city of Seville.

Incredibly, the boy, who was wearing a dirtied white t-shirt, was unhurt after his ordeal having held himself in position under the vehicle for the entire journey from Tetouan, near Tangier in Morocco.

The incident was the latest example of the desperate measures taken by some migrants to get to Europe.

Emergency services in the southern Spanish city said he had been taken to hospital but was in good condition.

A police spokesman told AFP the boy appeared to be Moroccan. He said he had been told the bus came from Tetouan.

‘The bus arrived in Seville, and when the driver was going to let the passengers out, he noted something strange,’ the spokesman said.

‘He called the police and firefighters, and they found the boy who was holding onto the bottom of the bus,’ he added.

Migrants from Africa regularly risk their lives trying to get into Europe via Spain.

Many attempt to cross the Mediterranean sea in rickety boats or climb over the border fence that separates the Spanish territories of Ceuta and Melilla from northern Morocco.

Earlier this month, a car with five migrants hidden inside rammed its way through a border post between Morocco and Melilla, forcing officers to abandon their posts to avoid being run over.

Once inside Melilla, the Moroccan driver abandoned the car but was soon detained by police.

Inside the vehicle, they found five migrants — two in the boot, two others under a false bottom in the rear seats and another in the dashboard.

Two teachers and the driver were also killed.

President John Magufuli said the accident was a “national tragedy”.

“This accident extinguishes the dreams of these children who were preparing to serve the nation, it is an immense pain for the families involved and for the whole nation,” he said.

PRO of Akusey District Police, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh, in an interview with Adom News said the highway police stopped the bus which was travelling from Ashaiman to Ho and during interrogations; they realized the man with the baby could not be the father of the baby.

The man on sight at the police team bolted leaving the baby on board with a bag containing sharp knives and a mobile phone.

The items found with the baby deepened police suspicion that the baby was going to be used for rituals.

The police arrested the suspect after a manhunt and is now looking for the mother of the baby.

ASP Tetteh appealed to all parents of Ashaiman, Ho and its environs to help them locate the mother of the baby to also assist in investigations.

“The suspect is in his early thirties. He could not give any tangible reason. When he got down he took to his heels. There was a very sharp knife. We suspected he was taking the child to the slaughter…”

“I plead with the public to spread the information to effect immediate collection of the baby before other processes sets in place…” he noted.
