Speaking on Dwaso Nsem on Adom FM, Madam Hagar revealed that management of Bills Micro Credit visited her home on Saturday morning and evening following the incident.

According to her, the officials asked her to withdraw the case from the police and promised to give her whatever she wanted because she was right in the matter.

“They came to my house and asked me to withdraw the case, saying they would give me whatever I want because I did nothing wrong,” she said.

However, she expressed doubts about the promise, stating that the company might fail to compensate her if she withdraws the case first.

Hagar therefore insisted that any compensation must be made before she considers dropping the case at the police station.

She added that the management of Bills Micro Credit is expected to meet with her and her family today to discuss possible compensation.

Hagar also called on the government and the company’s management to take action against the staff involved, noting that their conduct has caused reputational damage to the company.

“The staff were sent to collect debt, not to assault me,” she added.

I didn’t fall; I was pushed — Woman in viral Bills Micro Credit incident [Listen] https://www.adomonline.com/i-didnt-fall-i-was-pushed-woman-in-viral-bills-micro-credit-incident-listen/ Mon, 16 Mar 2026 11:58:02 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2640930 A woman identified as Hagar Emmasey, who featured in a viral video involving alleged staff of Bills Micro Credit, has recounted the incident, insisting she was pushed during the confrontation and did not fall on her own.

Speaking in an interview Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem, Madam Hagar explained that she has been taking loans from the company for about 15 years.

According to her, the most recent loan was GH¢1,000, with an agreement to repay it within 13 weeks. She said she usually repays loans via mobile money vendors, as she does not know how to make transfers herself.

Hagar stated that she had already paid most of the loan, with only GH¢300 remaining. She explained that she gave the money to a mobile money vendor to send, and after not hearing from the company for two weeks, she assumed the payment had been received.

The situation, she said, escalated last Friday evening when some staff from the company visited her home demanding the outstanding amount.

“They came to my house around 5pm and demanded the money, but I told them to wait until Monday so I could follow up with the vendor,” Hagar said.

She alleged that during the confrontation, one of the staff members seized her mobile phone. When she tried to retrieve it, another staff member allegedly pushed her, causing her to fall while holding her eight-month-old baby.

“I didn’t fall by myself; one of the staff pushed me, and that was how I fell with my baby,” she stated.

Hagar later reported the incident to the police and was issued a medical report for treatment at Atomic Polyclinic.

In a statement released on Saturday, March 14, the company said the incident has raised serious concerns and that efforts are underway to establish the full details of what occurred.

According to the statement, the video making rounds online suggests that the woman attempted to take a mobile phone from one of the officers while holding a baby. During the process, she reportedly lost her balance and fell.
