Amedza passed away just months after being elected to the constituency executive position, bringing to an abrupt end a political journey marked by active involvement in the party’s youth wing and efforts to support its members.

His death has triggered tributes from party colleagues who described him as dedicated and ambitious, with a strong commitment to the welfare of young party members.

Before his election as Deputy Secretary in the Banda Constituency, Amedza was actively involved in the Tertiary Students’ Confederacy Network (TESCON). He served as TESCON President at Abetifi College of Education, where he became known for his efforts to support students and members of the organisation.

He was also described as intentional about the welfare of TESCON members during his time as president.

Amedza’s political ambitions extended beyond student politics. He contested the Assembly Member election in 2023 but was unsuccessful.

He returned to electoral politics this year and successfully contested the Deputy Secretary position in the Banda Constituency, taking on the role only months before his death.

His colleagues have since paid tribute to his dedication to the NPP, recalling his contributions to the party and his commitment to those he worked with.
