Double the Charm: Nikki Samonas, Eric Asiedu Boadi team up on Darling Factor Season 3 https://www.adomonline.com/double-the-charm-nikki-samonas-eric-asiedu-boadi-team-up-on-darling-factor-season-3/ Fri, 01 Aug 2025 11:28:45 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2562489 It’s official! The Darling Factor has doubled its charm.

As the 2025 season of Think Media and Adom TV’s collaborative talent competition roars to life, fans can enjoy a sweetly refreshing twist: celebrated actress and TV darling Nikki Samonas is now joined by the unmistakable voice and face of Adom FM and Adom TV, Eric Asiedu Boadi, as co-host of this year’s show.

Together, the duo is poised to breathe new energy into Sunday night television, so grab that chilled bottle of Darling Lemon and some popcorn, if you will, sit back, and enjoy the thrill.

A blend of elegance and everyday charisma

Nikki Samonas is no stranger to commanding the spotlight. With her magnetic screen presence and effortless style, she’s long been a staple in Ghana’s entertainment scene.

This season, she returns with her signature flair, but this time, she’s got company.

Eric Asiedu Boadi, affectionately known on air as “Kegyiwa Nankasa,” has evolved from his early days as a pupil teacher in Nkawkaw to becoming a household name in broadcasting. His story is the stuff of true Ghanaian inspiration.

A product of reality radio himself, Eric beat over 500 contestants to win the second edition of Adom FM’s Adom Star reality competition in 2010, a breakout moment that launched his journey with the Multimedia Group.

The accolades have only grown since then: Deputy Head of Sports at Multimedia, lead host of the Ultimate Sports Show and Sports Arena, and one of the first-ever Twi commentators for FIFA World Cup and English Premier League coverage on DStv.

His deep, expressive voice has made him one of Ghana’s most sought-after voice-over artists, with a fanbase that spans TikTok, Facebook, and Ghana’s airwaves.

His presence on The Darling Factor adds a warm, relatable, “dreams-come-true” magic that resonates deeply with contestants and Ghana’s mass audience.

Their chemistry? Unmistakable. Where Nikki glides, Eric grounds. Where she dazzles, he disarms. And where she brings the sparkle, he brings the soul.

A new era for the Darling Factor

By pairing these two distinct personalities, Adom TV signals a bolder, more inclusive direction for the show.

It’s not just about discovering raw talent anymore; it’s about telling stories, stirring conversations, and building deeper connections with viewers across Ghana and beyond.

Nikki and Eric reflect two sides of the same coin: urban elegance meets grassroots energy. This balance is exactly what The Darling Factor needs as it evolves from a talent competition into a true cultural moment.

Sunday nights just got more interesting

Whether you’re tuning in to cheer on your favourite contestant or simply vibing with the hosts’ banter, one thing is clear: The Darling Factor has never felt more alive. With Nikki and Eric at the helm, each episode promises not just competition, but conversation, surprise, and soul.

This season, we don’t just watch talent rise; we will feel it.

The Darling Factor airs every Sunday at 8:30 PM on Adom TV. Join the conversation online with #TheDarlingFactor and follow Adom TV on all platforms, especially WhatsApp, for exclusive behind-the-scenes content.

Girls Can Talk: Are you ready to listen? https://www.adomonline.com/girls-can-talk-are-you-ready-to-listen/ Thu, 31 Jul 2025 13:58:54 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2561986 In a country where culture is king, tradition walks tall, and silence is often mistaken for virtue, a new voice is rising. It’s young. It’s fierce. And it’s ready to talk.

Girls Can Talk isn’t just another talk show. It’s Ghana’s cultural clapback to a media landscape that has, for far too long, placed women in the frame, but rarely handed them the mic.

It’s a timely answer to a generation of young Ghanaian women who are smart, stylish, socially aware, and tired of being told to tone it down.

We’re living through a global reckoning, around gender, power, and voice. From #MeToo to #FixTheCountry, from podcast confessions to viral tweetstorms, women everywhere are speaking, and being heard.

But while these conversations echo loudly on Twitter threads and WhatsApp groups, they’ve rarely taken center stage on Ghanaian television. Until now.

On GCT, no topic is off-limits, and no opinion is too loud. It’s a space for unfiltered truth on love, money, sex, ambition, identity, motherhood, slay culture, and everything in between. And it’s not just what they’re talking about that matters, it’s who’s doing the talking.

Girls Can Talk is powered by a rotating panel of passionate, brilliant, bold women, the campus queen, the market girl, the boss chick, the dreamer, the disruptor.

It’s not about finding consensus. It’s about creating contrast. It’s about letting truth clash with tradition, and letting women walk boldly through the fire of public opinion with style, substance, and soul.

What makes Girls Can Talk especially urgent is its timing. Right now, young Ghanaian women are rewriting the rules.

They’re running businesses on Instagram, challenging patriarchy on TikTok, shaping culture on Twitter, and reimagining what it means to be African and female in 2025. But television hasn’t caught up.

GCT is here to close that gap.

This is not a show made to please. It’s made to provoke, to push, to play, and to peel back the layers of what it means to be a woman in Ghana today.

It’s what radio can’t hold. It’s what social media can’t fully contain. It’s not a reaction. It’s a statement.

And maybe, just maybe, it’s the loud, laughing, liberated future of TV we didn’t know we needed.

Girls Can Talk. Are you ready to listen?

Celebrating Countryman Songo: 15 Years of ‘Fire for Fire’ and a remarkable journey https://www.adomonline.com/celebrating-countryman-songo-15-years-of-fire-for-fire-and-a-remarkable-journey/ Fri, 30 Aug 2024 06:39:36 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2441311 Today marks a special day in Ghanaian sports journalism as we celebrate the birthday of one of the country’s most dynamic and influential figures—Patrick Osei Agyemang, affectionately known as Countryman Songo.

This year, the celebration is twofold, as it also marks the 15th anniversary of his iconic show, Fire for Fire on Adom TV.

Countryman Songo

A journey of passion and resilience

Countryman Songo’s journey in the media landscape is nothing short of inspiring.

Born with a natural flair for public speaking and a passion for sports, particularly football, Songo transformed these gifts into a career that has made him a household name.

His fiery, no-nonsense approach to journalism quickly set him apart from his peers.

Fire for Fire, which debuted 15 years ago, has become a platform for Songo to voice his opinions and hold authorities accountable.

The show’s success lies in its ability to resonate with the ordinary Ghanaian, who sees Songo as a champion for truth and justice.

His famous catchphrases and bold, sometimes controversial, takes on issues have earned him admiration and respect nationwide.

15 years of “fire for fire”

The longevity of Fire for Fire is a testament to Songo’s consistency and relevance in the ever-changing world of media.

For a decade and a half, Songo has used the platform to address sports issues and social and political matters that affect the everyday Ghanaian.

He has never shied away from confronting the powers that be, whether it be in the realm of football administration, politics, or social injustices.

The show has seen its share of challenges, but Songo’s resilience has always shone through.

His ability to adapt while staying true to his core principles has kept Fire for Fire at the top of its game.

Songo’s fearless nature and his willingness to speak truth to power have made him a voice for the voiceless.

A legacy of impact

Countryman Songo’s influence extends beyond the confines of television. He has inspired a generation of young journalists and media personalities who look up to his unwavering commitment to integrity and justice.

His style, characterized by humor, passion, and an unfiltered approach, has become a blueprint for others in the field.

As he celebrates his birthday and the milestone of 15 years on Fire for Fire, it is worth acknowledging the impact he has had on Ghanaian society.

Countryman Songo has not only entertained but also educated and empowered his audience.

He has proven that journalism is not just about reporting the news but about shaping the narrative and making a difference.

Looking forward

As we look forward to many more years of Fire for Fire, we can only expect Countryman Songo to continue blazing the trail. His work has left an indelible mark on Ghanaian media, and his legacy is assured.

Here’s to many more years of “Firing” up the truth, championing the cause of the ordinary Ghanaian, and pushing the boundaries of sports journalism.

Happy Birthday, Countryman Songo, and congratulations on 15 incredible years of Fire for Fire! Your fire continues to burn bright, and your voice remains as powerful as ever.

How my ‘auntie’ turned out to be my husband’s mistress – UK-based Ghanaian woman narrates https://www.adomonline.com/how-my-auntie-turned-out-to-be-my-husbands-mistress-uk-based-ghanaian-woman-narrates/ Mon, 13 Feb 2023 12:39:13 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2215815 A UK-based Ghanaian woman, identified as Adjo Pokuaa, has reached the conclusion that some humans are the next evil things after the devil following a betrayal she is yet to get over.

The ‘borga’, who arrived in the Queen’s land when she was just 19 years of age, said she made lots of mistakes due to her immaturity, and one of such is the man she fell in love with.

Shortly after she settled in Hackney, London, Pokuaa said she met the gentleman who swept her off his feet, and she was so blinded by love that she accepted anyone close to him, including his son, sisters and a non-relative he introduced as a friend.

She revealed to host Emelia Brobbey during Adom TV’s Okukuseku show that her husband was so attached to the elderly woman such that she paid constant visit to them in their Hackney home.

“He introduced the woman to me as his friend when I was his girlfriend at age 19. She sometimes stays in my house, cooks for me, I do her hair, I sometimes even drop her off home when it gets late and so does my husband.”

According to her, she took the woman as her auntie and she was her confidant and guardian who took care of her when she birthed all three of her children.

However, beyond that care was a secret she was hiding – the said auntie was sleeping with Pokuaa’s husband on her blind side.

“She deliberately keeps long at my house and asks my husband to drop her home. Apparently, anytime she does that it’s because her husband is on night shift and things were going on with my husband for a long time. I was open minded as saw her as my auntie when she was actually his mistress,” she recounted.

According to Pokuaa, she began suspecting when the said ‘auntie’ stopped calling their landline and called her husband directly late at night, constantly.

Per her deductions, coupled with other unpleasant things that unraveled, Pokuaa concluded that her husband was having extra marital affairs with the auntie.

When all appeals to her husband fell on his deaf ears, she said she left the marriage for the sake of her mental health.

Nhyira FM gears up for another edition of Akan Akansie https://www.adomonline.com/nhyira-fm-gears-up-for-another-edition-of-akan-akansie/ Thu, 13 Oct 2022 12:16:43 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2171255 The second edition of Nhyira FM’s Akan Akansie is set to be staged on Nhyira FM and Adom TV, with the aim of educating students about their culture.

The socio-cultural competition organised for junior high schools creates an avenue for students to harness their learning of the Akan language and to appreciate the beauty of tradition.

Events and Promotions Executive, Eric Nkoom, says this year’s competition will help promote the local language for purposes of development.

He believes the avenue for students’ exposure to their cultural heritage should be widened.

Akan Akansie goes through an audition phase where qualified schools are paired to compete.

It has been observed that the use of the English language has made it difficult for the youth to find their cultural identity to uphold self-esteem, hence the contest.

The contest comprises spelling B, proverbs, idioms, politics, culture and tradition.
In the previous edition, KNUST Junior High School was crown winner after beating Sacred Heart in a fierce contest.

This year’s contest is slated for October 29 to November 26, 2022.
Organisers of Nhyira FM’s Akan Akansie hope to see more schools in this year’s audition.

“This year, we hope to make it more competitive by spreading our web for more schools to compete.

“We’re hoping to get more sponsors compared with last year’s edition, in order to make the contest more exciting,” said Bright Atter, an organiser of the contest.

How my female dancer made me lose my ‘white man’ – Feli Nuna https://www.adomonline.com/how-my-female-dancer-made-me-lose-my-white-man-feli-nuna/ Mon, 29 Aug 2022 13:25:28 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2155597 Budding musician Feli Nunu has revealed she has had her fair share of betrayal which has shaped her outlook of life.

The singer, sharing her story on Adom TV‘s Okukuseku, intimated that she lost her friendship with a “white man” at the hands of her female dancer who badmouthed her.

According to her, the said crew member was more or less like a sister and had access to her family and personal space.

It is for this reason she said she thought it wise to introduce her to some friends to broaden her scope and present her with other opportunities.

However, Feli narrated that her kind deed was paid with betrayal when the female dancer badmouthed her and cooked up lies to her white man.

“I noticed the white man was giving me attitude but I didn’t know why. Apparently at that time he had bought her a phone and promised her some trips. I addressed the issue and I realised she had said negative stuff about me which were mostly lies. It was very hurtful.”

According to her, after addressing the issue, the said dancer began treating her with disrespect, which made her create boundary between herself and the two.

The experience, she said, has made her guarded, adding that her current crew members do not have direct access to her.

The Big Talent show is a 90-minute weekly performance that will run consecutively for a period of 13 weeks on Sunday evenings.

The first episode of The Big Talent will take the form of a mini launch to introduce the contestants officially to viewers and also to allow stakeholders and sponsors to share a word.

Contestants will be tasked to exhibit their skills every week based on individual strengths and preferred skills.

Ranging from dancing, singing, comedy, the contestants are ready to bring their A-game to the platform.

The talents will be allowed to bring a number of supporters to cheer them on during the live show.

As usual, eviction, which will be enforced by judges and public votes, is part of the competition.

9 real reasons why women moan and make sounds during s3x https://www.adomonline.com/9-real-reasons-why-women-moan-and-make-sounds-during-s3x/ Wed, 25 Aug 2021 13:28:53 +0000 https://www.adomonline.com/?p=2005597 Women make noise, even when they are having sex, some women may also shout and scream in bed. And if you recollect your memories of any lovemaking scene from the movies, you will have the woman moan over and over again as the scene gets hotter. So, what makes women moan during sex?

1. Women moan out of pleasure

For women, intimacy and moaning go hand in hand. Just as you sigh at the sight of warmed up food on the table when you are hungry or a soft bed awaiting you after an exhausting day, moaning is a natural response to pleasure that a woman gets during sex.

As she gets to climax and feels pleasure, she moans involuntarily in ecstasy.

2. Moaning can turn him on instantly

Men are turned on by the sounds their women make. If a man is taking time for the act and is not getting into the mood, a woman may moan just to get him there. This especially helps when a man is not in the mood for sex, but the woman wants it.

3. As an involuntary response to pain

At times when he is taking things rough and causing discomfort or pain down there, moaning can come in handy. A moan with a painful sound can give him the message that he is creating the woman discomfort, and he may become slow and careful.

But there is no reason why a woman should continue to endure pain during sex. After all, the act is all about experience pleasure and not pain (unless that’s your jam). More often than not, pain during intercourse is caused by a lack of lubrication. This problem can be solved by simply keeping a bottle of lube handy.

4. To get things done quickly

Not in the mood today, but your man wants sex? Then moan! Moaning excites men and makes them experience orgasm early on. Some women also cry if the sex is getting too exhausting and they want to end it soon. They complain to arouse their men and get things done quickly.

Many women have used crying to get sex done promptly with, and it is all fine until the man knows you are faking it. That could be quite painful and pinches men sharply.

5. To slow things down

When a man hears soft moans of pleasure, he gets an idea that the woman is enjoying what he is doing. The sounds of your moans give him to make him interpret that you need more time in bed and he needs not hurry. This helps women extend the act longer if they anticipate the man is going to have an orgasm soon.

It is the tone of the moans that set the rhythm of sex. If a man can correctly read through the sounds a woman makes, the couple can have better and enjoyable sex.

6. To turn off their brain and focus on sex

Women have hectic lives, and sometimes they are just not turned on for sex. With a thousand different things running in their minds, it may be hard for some women to focus on what is happening now. With a grocery list running on your account or a presentation layout taking shape, it can be impossible to enjoy the pleasure of being laid.

Moaning helps them get their brain where their bodies are.

7. To change the rhythm of sex

Like what your man is doing? Moan softly.

Don’t like what he is doing down there? Moan hard.

That’s it. Moaning helps women change the rhythm in bed. If you moan softly at something he is doing, your man will continue it because he knows you like it. Similarly, he will also get the idea of something you are not enjoying when you moan painfully. As simple as that!

8. Silent sex? Arghh!

What would sex be like if no one was making any sound? Since women are more expressive then men, they have taken the lead on this one, too. Their moans and sounds and screams make sex more enjoyable for both the partners involved. Silently getting to climax would be such a mood killer! When a woman moans in pleasure, there can be nothing better than that.

Can’t get your woman to moan? Is the silent sex routine dampening your experience in the bedroom? One of the reasons why a woman may not be letting out those soft moans or loud screams during sex is because her partner isn’t able to pleasure her the right way.

In that case, sex toys such as vibrators or ring for clitoris stimulation can really help you shift gears and heighten the pleasure of the act. If she is truly experiencing the zeniths of sexual pleasures, there is no way she’ll be able to keep at that ecstatic energy in.

9. To please their men

Women also moan to make their men feel happy and pleased. A man feels masculine and strong when he can get his woman to feel pleasure under his embrace. Soft moans of pleasure give him the idea that the woman is enjoying what he is doing and that pleases him greatly.

Sex becomes more exhilarating for men when their women moan with pleasure. Moaning is considered to be a sign of good sex, but do not confuse the painful sounds of your woman as signs of happiness.
