This marks the third consecutive year a male contestant has emerged as the winner in the ‘Wonsa Ano Adwuma’ – Adepam fashion competition.

JK was overwhelmed with joy as the elegant host, Sandra Sarfo Ababio named him as winner of the competition.

He beat Maabee, Papa Tailor, Scissors, Hellen, and Lawrencia to secure his place in Adepam history.

JK joins Berima Pa and KBaw as winners, as they continue the male dominance.

Throughout the 12 weeks of the show, JK showcased his design prowess, giving the other 15 contestants a run for their money.

He stood out from the very beginning during the Week 1 freestyle task, where he created a visually striking and harmonious silhouette using Ankara and stretchy white fabric.

JK’s impressive and skillful designs earned him the title of Best Designer of the Night for four consecutive weeks, from week five to nine.

His creativity and talent consistently wowed judges Seiwaa and Sikapa, making it an easy decision to name him the winner, alongside the popularity votes from cherished viewers.

As the winner, JK takes home a substantial prize of GH¢20,000 as startup capital for his fashion business, five industrial sewing machines, and other gifts from sponsors.

JK also gets a special scholarship from the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) to further his education in fashion.

Scissors secured the first runner-up position, receiving GH¢10,000, two industrial sewing machines, and gifts from sponsors.

Hellen claimed the second runner-up spot, walking away with a cool GH¢7,000 cash prize, hand and industrial sewing machine each and sponsorship packages.

The remaining three finalists all walked away with cash prizes and other gifts from sponsors.

Also, all 16 participants were awarded certificates of participation.

Papa Tailor‘s design was a fusion of tradition and modernity. He crafted a bridal outfit that combined a traditional beaded top with a modern A-line skirt. The beaded lace was intricately woven with a vibrant red color, while the skirt had a minimalistic yet chic appeal.

Scissors bridal piece was a vintage masterpiece. He created a mediaeval gown for a royal ball that had three sisters plait in the bottom. He paired the outfit with a crown to create the Britain Elizabethan effect.

Contestant Maabee creation was chef’s kiss. She opted for a sleek mermaid silhouette with a lace overlay that exuded sophistication. The gown featured an illusion neckline and a dramatic train, giving it a touch of timeless elegance.

JK showcased a regal bridal look with an unexpected twist, suitable for a black wedding. His design featured a voluminous ball gown skirt with intricate beadwork and embroidery. Contestant Lawrencia identified her niche to be embedded in the color green. She created a fish-tail gown which she adorned with beads and trimming. She also went beyond her comfort zone and added feathers and a bell tail to her design.

It was Papa Tailor‘s golden moment on stage to showcase his unique niche and he radiated his model with a golden gown complemented with sparkly pearls and a flowy train. The one hand sleeve dress had a choker neckline that added an extra layer of bougee.

Contestant Hellen identified that her strength lies in menswear, hence her decision to curate a blazer dress for her female model. She added a baby strap and long distressed trousers which epitomized urban style.

JK niche is a smart causal wear inspired by the architecture of Dubai, specifically Burj Khalifa. He combined vibrant colors to design a stunning lapel style suit with matching trousers. Behind the suit was his signature initials boldly spelt out.

Contestant Maabee strength lies in corset gowns which accentuates the curves of her models. The vibrant pink fabric created the perfect silhouette for the yellow fabric which altogether created a visually pleasing party dress.

Scissors proved he is ready for business by making a memorable statement with his eye-catching creation. His asymmetrical bright red gown crafted with unconventional shapes and lines added an element of uniqueness to his designs.

With his signature high energy, charisma, and a commanding stage presence, Righteous Vandyke immediately captured the attention of everyone in the audience.

His performance was nothing short of engaging, and it had the entire crowd on their feet, dancing, and singing along to his hit songs, including ‘Ndwoum’ ‘Akosombo Kanea’ and ‘Odo Asem’.

The journey began with Season 1, where Berima Pa clinched the title against 11 other contestants. He gracefully passed the baton to KBaw of Season 2, and both have gone on to achieve incredible post-show success.

In a surprising twist, Season 3 kicked off with 16 contestants representing Ghana’s diverse regions. Over the weeks, 10 contestants were eliminated, leaving the battle in the capable hands of the six finalists.

The finalists, a trio of females, and a trio of males, are brimming with energy, eager to deliver an unforgettable fashion spectacle in the upcoming hours.
