Parents will have to sell their kids to their neighbours for cash to survive on if John Mahama is retained as President of this country, a leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Kwabena Frimpong Boateng has predicted.
The former Director of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen Programme Thursday said this would occur because of the bad management of the economy.
“If NDC wins this year’s elections, Ghanaians would have to sell their kids by the next four years before they can feed themselves and that would surely happen looking at how bad the economy is being managed…,” he said.
The heart surgeon who was commenting on the NPP’s manifesto on health and ICT said he is convinced Ghanaians are going through lots of hardships under this government because President Mahama never adequately prepared himself to lead this country.
Due to this, Prof Frimpong Boateng opined that the President never has a clear agenda on the things he seeks to achieve for this country.
“Mahama was never prepared to be President, he was sitting his somewhere and was invited to take over the post after the death of Mills…,” he said.
This posture of the President, he added is contrary to that of Akufo-Addo who ‘has adequately prepared himself’ to take over this country.
“The NDC team is not solid on the ground, they are only glued to borrowing to undertake projects which they use foreign expertise to execute and this directly contradicts that of the NPP which has a solid and competent team that is well prepared to deliver..,” he said.
