A woman believed to be in her 50s, Mma Samatah was attacked on Wednesday night by residents of Dungu in Tamale for allegedly being a witch.
The youth according to Adom News’ Illiasu Abdul Rauf mobilized and stormed Samatah’s house.

They vandalized her belongings and destroyed all doors and windows in the house.
The youth later threatened to kill the woman. She was later rescued by a ‘Good Samaritan’ around in the neigbourhood.

A member of the mob explained to Adom News why they had wanted to attack the woman.
“We want to kill the woman because our brother is seriously sick and we were told by a fetish priest that she was the one behind my brother’s sickness.
“She wanted to kill my brother because she is a witch and so we want to kill her for trying to end our brother’s life,” he said.
