Deputy Minister of Education, Dr Osei Adutwum, has addressed, in detail, the problems that have characterized government’s proposed double-track system for senior high schools.
The first years for the 2018/2019 academic year have started the double-track system introduced by the Akufo-Addo-led government.

The Senior High School (SHS) students have been divided according to red, yellow and green codes but some parents say they are confused by the process are therefore asking the government for explanations.
Speaking on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem programme Friday, Dr Osei Adutwum said there was no cause for alarm.

He explained that:
- A green on your admission means you are going to school right away
- A yellow on your admission indicates that you have to wait
- However, all the two tracks would go to school at the same time for a registration process after which Track 1 will begin.

Dr Osei Adutwum stressed that the double-track system is a temporary measure to mitigate the overcrowding, promising to put up more schools to deal with the situation soon.
