Former coach of Asante Kotoko, Steve Polack, is set to battle the club in court for wrongful dismissal.
The Porcupine Warriors parted ways with Polack ahead of the new season after he failed to qualify the club to the next round of the 2018 CAF Confederation Cup.
A source close to coach Polack revealed to Graphic Sports that the coach is furious about his dismissal and insist he did not deserve such awful treatment from Kotoko.
According to the source, Polack feels management did not use the right approach to terminate his one year contract, hence his decision to fight Kotoko tooth and nail in court.
”They say coaches are hired to be fired but I don’t understand why they sacked me. I am European, not an African to just take the money (US$ 16,000 compensation) and say bye bye and walk away”.
”My lawyers have told me that I should relax and that they will go all the way to find a solution to this issue and until that is done, I am not leaving here”.
”How long has this Management been in office? They have already changed four coaches but nobody is questioning that. The problem is not with the technical direction of the club; it is he added”, Polack is alleged to have said to his source.
