A 35-year-old security guard with Maro Plantation Company at Dukusen near Agogo in the Asante Akyem North District of the Ashanti Region has been butchered to by some persons believed to be herdsmen.

Sources revealed that, the deceased David Ntiabak went to assist his fellow security guards who were on duty but ran into the herdsmen and was later found in a pool of blood.

In an interview with Adom News, the Assemblyman of Agogo, Kwabena Osei stated the security guards at the farms were driving away some cattle that were grazing on a Sorghum farm on Saturday.

“This is the second time they have attacked people in the area. They set houses on fire two days before this sad incident and this is making farming very difficult in the area,”

He was however rushed to the Agogo Presbyterian hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The body has been deposited at the hospital’s morgue with the people calling on the government to deploy Police and military personnel to Agogo in order to maintain peace
