Kofi Boakye, an Education Specialist and Country Head for Education Quality Opportunity International Finance, an NGO, has advised Ghanaian children to refrain from computer fraud popularly known in Ghana as ‘Sakawa’.

He noted it was important for children to avoid such activities because they could ruin their future.

Mr Boakye was speaking to Adom News correspondent, Isaac K Normanyo, when his organization, in conjunction with Opportunity International Savings and Loans Limited, presented an award of 1,000 US dollars to Best Brain International School at Kronum Abuohia in Kumasi.

“I urge you to study hard; do your homework and also listen to your teachers. Currently, what is happening is that young men and women spend their precious time to do computer Sakawa which will eventually ruin their lives. For your excellent performance in the competition, you have earned a prize of 1,000 US dollars,” he told the pupils.

Kwabena Fosuhene Oduro, branch manager for Opportunity International, Suame said Best Brain came top of all the schools.

“I urge you to study hard; listen to your parents and to the parents, I urge you to visit our branches for support towards your children’s education,” he said.

Akwasi Okyere, proprietor of Best Brain International School was delighted that his school won the award.

He was also delighted that Best Brain was now one of the best schools in the country.
