Spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association, Saani Daara has said players would have to perform above average to earn a call-up to the Black Stars.
According to him, though head coach, Kwesi Appiah has given opportunity for new players, it was not don on a silver platter.
Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate sports show Tuesday, Saani Daara revealed that, they intend to build a football team for the future hence the decision to introduce new players.
“Akwasi Appiah from the beginning made clear his plans of building a new team thus the mass call up but one will be extremely good to break into his core team” he added.
Saani Daara also stressed the coach’s commitment to build a vibrant Black Stars team to put Ghana on the global map.
Meanwhile, Black Stars of Ghana will outdoor a new set of jersey as they line up to play the last world cup qualifier against Egypt in Cape Coast on Sunday.
